>Hey, let's make some auxiliary abilities that are required to pick up completion collectibles, defeat the vast majority of post-game bosses and render an entire area inaccessable without them

>let's also punish players for using drive forms frequently by giving them an increasing chance of turning into a form that's absolute shit and practically forces them to savescum bosses

Hey, let's make some auxiliary abilities that are required to pick up completion collectibles...

People still haven't learned how to manipulate the counter?
>no Indiana Jones world
JUST FINAL FORM BRUH
>no King of the Hill world
This is spam.
>Indy 5 will probably be shit
Why even live
I don't think I ever saw Anitform my last play through
Protip: You can't get antiform outside of combat. So if you're grinding form levels just transform prehand
Imagine being so shit at kh that anti form is impairing. You melt life bars, attack so fast you deflect everything.
It's fucking easy mode
>Hit enemy's revenge value
>Enemy does combo and now you're down to 1 HP and are stuck in Antiform
>He isn't Jonesin for an indie world
What a gay
>needing drive abilities to actually beat anything outside of the post game area specifically for having fun with said abilities
>being so shit you can't use anti form
>Play KH2
>Use the transform thing once as soon as its gotten
>Makes me weaker
>Don't use it again until near the very end of the game
>It transforms me into some kind a new super form that kicks everythings ass
Good thing KH2 was so much easier than KH1 or else I may have been upset
I remember playin this years ago and thinking this edgy form was so fucking cool, you must suck OP.
I like keyblades.
you talking shit about Sora real form
>>being so shit you can't use anti form
I feel like most people would have trouble getting through a fight alive on a level 1 crit run after getting anti in a boss fight
Like if you can beat The Creature as Antiform on level 1 crit I'll bake you some sugar cookies
explain further
The sheer speed of it and the dash move it has means you can survive the full time limit on it well enough as long as you keep moving and know when to stop combos.
Sora is basically just a heartless wearing his old skin that Kairi gave back to him at this point. His heartless was never defeated by a keyblade so his heart was never released.
Not true. Data-Sora specifically killed Sora's heartless, which had grown so strong it had become one of the few sentient heartless. Data-Sora's second keyblade is a real keyblade, not a fake one copied from Sora.
I will genuinely never understand why people think anti-Sora is a form of punishment.
Yes, you can't heal.
You can't QTE thus you can't progress some fights.
But you move fast as fuck, you attack with the highest speed in the entire game, and sora tosses aside his gay ass keyblade to claw at his enemies with his bare hands.
How is this form not fun as shit?
In fact, it's so fun that back in the day i used gameshark codes to enable it in the menu, and give myself infinite drive, thus finishing the entie game in anti-form (aside QTE spots where i reverted back to continue, of course)
Wait, can you beat bosses with antiform? Bosses require a finisher and I thought anti didn't have one
He killed the journal memory digitization of Sora's heartless, Sora is still his own heartless.
It's punishment because it's random and often comes up at the worst times. If it was able to be intentionally chosen like any other form then everyone would love it.
When you're playing level 1 crit where most things kill you in a single hit, and you get stuck with anti form which has shit all i-frames and each of his attacks lock you into a 10 second animation you can't cancel, you realize just how shit it is
It's been years since i did that run but if i'm not mistaken the magic explosion anti has counts as a finisher.
You can use it when you want if you equip the Two Become One keyblade, after unlocking final form (after you unlock FF it'll only put you in anti from that point onward).
The keyblade is available in KH2FM, wich is the version contained in all the recent HD re-releases.
>Yes, you can't heal.
If you need to heal in the first place then I'm sorry, but you just suck
>When you're playing level 1 crit
Ok but that's super fucking niche, it's like doing a SL1 run in a souls game and complaining that certain mechanics fuck your specific run over, it's unreasonable.
I legit only gotten Anti against bosses. Good Luck trying to beat them without action commands
No, Anti has no finishers. You cannot finish a boss fight with it, you have to revert.
>no spongebob world
But you can already go to the Underworld.
>Ok but that's super fucking niche
level 1 crit is really the only fun way to play the game though
DANCE

DANCE
>playing the game this certain way is really annoying and here's my explanation for why
>it's actually the only fun way to play the game though
Make up your mind.
>muh level 1 crit
my god, will you shut up about it? You make it seem like level 1 crit is the ONLY WAY PEOPLE SHOULD PLAY KH2.
You would be as bad as souls fans who think everyone should only do SL1 runs
If you're doing a level 1 critical run of the game you should know how to manipulate the drive counter.
he won't.
I have no idea why he is masturbating over level 1 crit but it's fucking annoying
Why are any of the Organization members in 358 and KHII beyond Roxas and Xion given field missions at all? They were all reliant on their two keyblade wielders to manufacture their artificial Kingdom Hearts, Xemnas does fuckall except stare at the moon, and I have no idea what the others do when it's not confronting a renegade keyblade wielder.
maybe the shit they do involves gathering heartless so they will be a problem and force Sora to beat the hearless.
Or when Roxas and Xion kill them, they release the hearts and further the plans
They were given recon missions and to scoop out other worlds, among other things
This was explained in the tutorial missions in days
But like, what does one do on a recon mission like that? Just look around? Why kill large/strong heartless if you need lots of hearts, wouldn't it be more productive to find where masses of weak emblems gather instead of scooping out the large ones?
Not the user you were talking to, but maybe it was to thin them out? Xion and Roxas were still trying to get used to the feeling of the keyblade in the beginning and later on they probably didn't want to have their living weapons be overwhelmed and possibly killed. I haven't seen the movie in a while so now I'm curious too.
Thinning them out wouldn't really work though, since a Heartless killed by any weapon other than a keyblade just reforms elsewhere. They can only be truly killed by that legendary sword.
Oh yeah that's true, but even then having them reform elsewhere would still be better than dealing with an even bigger crowd at that moment.
git gud fgt
>what does one do on a recon mission like that?
Like I said, scoop out the world. They don't want to send roxas (and then later xion) out into the worlds and have them die during a mission. The more info the organization collects about the world and the heartless that are in there, the less likely their two prized keyblade wielders die in the process.
Before roxas joined, they also sent out members to find human nobodies to join the organization. Xigbar was sent on one of these missions and he was the one that found marluxia
Also, they were supposed to investigate CO and set up a second base there, but everyone was a traitor and/or died. So then axel ended up the only one left to investigate it, trying a few times but ultimately unable to find the room where ventus sleeps
I agree about the drive forms being a grind. You have very little incentive to use them during the main story, your main kit is just flat-out better most of the time. Even if you still use them at every opportunity, you'll still have to grind a fair amount at end-game. And your basic kit is still better for most of the optional bosses. You level up drive forms so you gain access to those growth abilities, not to actually use the drive forms themselves. The exception being Limit Form because you have access to Guard and Dodge, don't need party members around to use it, and the limits do a good amount of damage
Drive forms are cool conceptually but they're not actually that great from a gameplay perspective. Which is why I'm not sad to see them replaced in KH3. I just hope the new transformations actually have their uses and aren't a downgrade from your basic kit. Also hopefully there's a weapon switching system.
>location markers on the chain
I used drive forms literally any time I could and I was able to max out the abilities they grant by the end game with no grinding.
man... RPGs are a lot more fun when you blow your best shit whenever, none of this hoarding-for-a-rainy-day nonsense.
The topic was about how good antiform was. Obviously abusing the drive counter to not get antiform doesn't pertain to the topic

Except most of the time drives were inferior to your basic stuff
Only exception I could think of outside of Limit Form was Wisdom during Demyx's fight
>what is Atlantis
You can sing, sing, sing!
Best song in the series coming through
>location makers not molag bals chains
>empire emblem and not the symbol of oblivion
Fucking skyrimfags never playing an elder scroll game in their life
Actually thinking back on this, why was Vanitas's Void Gear wrapped in chains when he confronted Sora in Monsters Inc?
Void Gear always had chains on it, they're just fully modeled in III instead of flat textures.
>Dodging is utter shit because it's that wide circle dodge instead of literally anything else.
>Has no iframes
>Damage is terrible
>Can't use any magic at all.
>Attacks lock you into 3+ second animations you can't get out of at all.
>Can't use reaction commands.
>Attacks don't cause hitstun on most enemies let alone bosses.
>Can only use the abilities tied to the form itself which is the bare minimum and nothing you've earned affects it.
Yeah man, why don't people love this form? They're fools. You realize this is the equivalent of asking why people don't like Ghost Drive in BBS, right?
Oh huh, I guess I never noticed.
I'll be waiting for my cookies then.
Maybe not lvl 1 crit but if you dont atleast play on crit your opinion on this game is worthless to me
i thought it was cool, it shows you shouldn't abuse fucking power
and even then, i tried to make the best of it...
unless it was fucking critical, then it was shit
It's mickey that doesn't have a finisher so you can't beat bosses as him.
Anti-form has finishers but it reverts sora to normal in the following cutscene instead of retaining the drive like with the other 4.
It makes a lot of sense though, if they ever added a Skyrim world they would never bother with awknoledging the other games
falling for this shit
yeah but it looks cool
yeah maybe but it's not like kingdom hearts 2 is hard enough for it to matter
wait, anti form combos dont hitstun?
They hitstun some enemies and others they do nothing on. You also trigger DMs way faster.
Kingdom Hearts 2 isn't a tightly designed game. It's just filled with gimmicks
god daedric weapons look like fucking garbage in skyrim
>Anti has no finishers
It has two aerial finishers you dumb fuck
Locking dodge roll until you get limut form was the nost retarded thing ever, it better be an innate ability in 3
Anti-form is alright, you can still go toe to toe with that bitch xemnas
Anti form was amazing, how are you fucks this bad at video games?!
Never seen antiform with the Tron world outfit before.
No DisneyTM Star Wars World
>required to pick up completion collectible
only if you want to get all collectibles as quickly as possible and not wait until you unlock specific movement abilities outside of drive forms
>defeat the vast majority of post-game bosses
when you get Two Become One near the end of the game you can use drive forms without using anti forms. Because post game bosses appear after you beat the game (obviously) then you will already have got Two Become One by this point
>render an entire area inaccessable without them
It's supposed to be done in the later half/ post-game. The same situation as above
