It does not matter whether or not the suspension/ban holds up "in a court of law", because those matters (in 99.9999% of cases) do not go to a court of law. Regardless of what the outcome would be if such a matter went to court regularly (it doesn't), banning or suspending a player for violating the terms of service they agreed to is far from illegal.
