I have nothing better to do.
1050 sucks
so what videocard should I get for its price?
dont bother. 1050 is really fucking shit.
nothing because miners fucked gpu prices unless you can get a 1060 for near mrsp somehow dont bother
>Kingdom Come
>running on a 1050
lmao no if those are the kinds of games you want to play save up for a 1070
>Fallout
Good laugh mate.
The games so badly optimised you'll get fps drops regardless of graphics card.
The game hates it if you're remotely high up somewhere, and I had a bug once that tanked my fps for no reason, had to go back to a save 2 hours prior.
Doesn't matter what graphics card you buy, 5 years later games will run like shit even though they look just as good or even worse then games now.
Don't listen to Sony shills, the 1050 isn't that bad.
Forgot to mention, 1080 ti.
Get a 1050 Ti
i've been enjoying my 1050, but i dont really play any games made in the last 3ish years, except Neir Automata, which I can run pretty well on medium settings.
Will work well at 1280x720 resolutions.
I heard a rumor about a new line of cards at the end of this month but don't remember from where, any updates on that?
I have a 1070 and neither do I.
Only newer games I play are Stellaris and Dark Souls 3.
Literally do not buy an ANYTHING 50, ever. If you're buying anything under a 60 series just buy an AMD card, Nvidia budget cards are a complete scam. The 950 is worse than a 560, despite costing almost the same as the 560 did on release several years before.
what about 1060? because i got one
Oh yeah, because the price is so close...
Budget cards are called budget cards for a reason user
The 1050ti is decent for a budget card.
1060 6gb is pretty good.
Yes, and despite being budget cards, they're still not nearly worth what they cost.
Ignore the nay-sayers, and look up some Youtube gaming footage. As long as you don't crank settings up too much and don't play above 1080p/60fps, the normie-1050 can do A LOT still.
That being said, the boost the Ti -version would provide would be notable. I got an old i7 2600 + 1050ti now, and I can practically High-Ultra majority of recent stuff at 1080p.
1060 are very safe choices for 1080p/60fps at the moment. Even the 3GB version.
Nothing is really worth their price if we're talking about GPUs today, we're living on dark times
it doesn't matter if you're not into "serious" games, every new-ish game is a bloated resource hog thats a needs a gpu twice as fast than it should ever need.
Oh I completely agree, but even once things calm the fuck down I still don't think OP should consider getting a 50 series. As someone who has used one, it's more money in the long run considering it will be next to useless in a couple years.
>Literally do not buy an ANYTHING 50, ever
This. I almost bought a 950 2gb a few years ago as a budget card and wound up finding a 960 4GB that was like $20 more and was almost twice as fast. Nvidia's budget cards are a complete waste of money.
take up basket-weaving instead of gaming
you people are bizarrely behind times.
1050ti can literally 1080p/60fps any game out at the moment. The ones that don't stutter on even the 1080ti, that.
750ti used to be THE budget-card to go with, and is still surprisingly capable.
Back in 2011, I played Witcher 2 on GTX 550 without any issues.
>MFW I bought an EVGA 1070 for a price of current 1060 from shitty brand and it didn't have a VRM overheating problem due to early batch.
Waitfags BTFO, buy your shit when you have enough funds to do so.
Waiting game is the poorfags most played game.
>Line releases
>"I'm going to wait for a sale"
>Line bumps down in price
>"New line is gonna come out soon"
Rinse and fucking repeat.
I mean, so long as it's a 4gb TI sure.
1050 is even weaker than 970. And 970 runs KCD poorly on highs.
>2GB
no
>1050ti can literally 1080p/60fps any game out at the moment
this is what poorfags believe in
>Buy GTX 1060 6gb in December
>Prices immediately jump 200 dollars
Man, thank the lord I did that.
1050 Ti is a beast at 1080p. They're inflated in price so not the best option for poorfags like us, but still a very good value.
Worthwhile cards are too far above MRRP right now because of cryptomemers
>1050ti can literally 1080p/60fps any game out at the moment
Yeah, if you lower the settings enough. If you believe it can run demanding titles at 1080p/60 on high settings, you're a brainlet.
>750ti used to be THE budget-card to go with
Confirmed brainlet. The 750 Ti was never, EVER a good value in performance terms. It was minorly impressive in terms of power consumption versus performance, but in raw performance terms it was significantly less powerful than a fucking GTX 660 and completely annihilated by a HD 7850.
Get used gtx970, much more powerful and cost atound same. Check yt bnchmarks if you dont believe.
youtu.be
It is for price it sells. Op should stop being noob and get preowned 970 which is twice as powerful and around same price. 1050 is for low end gaming and games like fo4 and kingdom com will struggle a lot, on other hand with 970, I could run FO4 at 1440p60 on high with dips here and there
I don't know what these cunts are talking about, but I get 60fps on Fallout 4 @ 1080p/low. I have a G4560 & 1050 combo.
>low
Thats what we are talking about you miserable scrub
>750ti used to be THE budget-card
>50 series
>ever viable as a budget option
You are always better just picking up a previous generation higher tier card.
50anything is always generations behind in performance.
>3 year old graphically unimpressive game
>low
That's why user
But niggas in this bitch be acting like he has to play on 800x600 in order to get 25fps, what I'm saying
Don't listen to any of these idiots in this thread OP, Okay? I used to build high end PC as a hobby back in the day, and let me tell you something. The 1050 is a good card for game set on HIGH. Take it from me I used to set up LANs in my Stepdads basement for games like Unreal Tournament
well sheeeeet
>costs 150 for base, 200+ for ti
>very optimized games will run 1080p medium 30fps if lucky
It's good for older games. With my 1050sc I am able to max out alien isolation at 1080p, I suspect that game is extremely well optimized. Mad max I can play on high settings. Arkham Knight I have to play on a mixture of low and medium settings. Never tried Fallout 4 or Kingdom Come, I'm guessing they would have to be played on low or medium at best. Looking back I sort of wish I had gone with 1050ti instead because I think it would be able to play demanding games on high instead of low/medium. But I got the 1050sc because it was on sale, meaning it was at the price it would normally be if prices weren't inflated right now. Even the 1050ti costs almost twice what it should be.
>Should I buy 1050
lol. You might as well just get a ps4 pro. Probably cheaper and better graphics.
