Anyone else ever play Persona on a day to day? Like I played one day in game and then waited until the next day my time to play the next in game day. It spread out the game over the year.

Ha! I was thinking about this too but would never try this myself even on the consequent playthroughs. UNLESS! Unless, I played one game day per real day in each Persona game (3,4 and 5). Therefore, making it 3 game days total across three Persona games per one real day.

No reason not to fuse for better personas

Just a heads up, the pacing is very slow. Fusing will help you progress and there’s not much need to grind at all if you do so. Use tactics properly to command the AI controlled party members. Don’t use a guide.

not like that per se, but I stopped at the final boss of Persona 4 because of University and beat it three years later. It was weirdly satisfying, it was as if I knew the characters for that long.

Pace yourself

Alsk, don't try to do all S.Links, just find the few you like and stick with them.
Your first days you won't have anything to do at night, so use those nights to go to the arcade in the mall and play games that give your persona stats.

For persona stats:
Punching bag gives 3 STR to your current persona
Whack-a-mole gives 3 AGI to your current persona
Fortune game gives 3 MAG to your current persona

Visit Tartarus at least once every 3 days, when all of your party members get tired feel free to leave.

ALWAYS tell Fuuka to scan enemies, even if all you get is question marks, your team's AI adapts to the enemy's resitances

Persona fusion is very important, but remember to register your personas when you get the compendium.

Also don't fuse orpheus until you get the compendium, since if you do you will lose a very good skill from him.

The skills passed in fusion are random and change every time you select the personas you want to fuse as shown in the the webm I'm posting, but certain personas have some affinities to different types of elements, which means they're more likely to learn a certain type of skill.
A persona that has fire as its main theme is more likely to learn a fire skill over any other one.

Give up on doing ALL S.Links. It's possible, but following the guide will leave you empty inside.

There's no reward for doing all of Elizabeth's requests. Just check them from time to time. Requests where Elizabeth asks you to date her are the best ones.

Dungeon gameplay is pretty bland, and there's retarded fatigue system. If you fight too much, your party will get tired. It's obnoxious at first, but it gets better when you level up. Focus on going up the floors. They're randomly generated, so there's no point in exploring them in their entirety - there are hundreds floors of randomly generated shit. Just power through them. There's a monthly floor cap for the dungeon, so once you reach the cap, you can ignore dungeon for the rest of the month.

Plot isn't exactly brilliant and you might hate it. Don't expect much from it. The worst part is the pacing - you'll just get bits of plot and a lot of high school simulation between them.

You don't play Persona for fantastic engaging gameplay and story, you just get comfy.

Not really, Persona 3 isn't exactly a hard game and money aren't a problem there. Item boxes give you a shitload of money.

Money IS a problem if you're grinding stats or want to get the top gear from the police station

The fact they changed this for P5 made both the Strength social link and the main game absolutely trivial. I know they never will but I hope they change it back for P6. It'd be interesting if they changed it back only on hard mode.
