I literally don't get the design philosophy behind making some characters good and some shit and never fixing it.

No, most people hate him because he embodies what's wrong with street fighter 5. He's a character that even before he was buffed was always UNGA. I hate him especially because the MU is in his favor against Menat, the only character that made me go back to sf5, but that aside he's a shitty character and even if he wasn't revealed so badly at evo, people will still hate him.

It's to keep the game interesting. The last game where everyone was a great character bombed terribly. There's no reason to play a fighting game where everyone has advantages and no disadvantages, you're playing a side-scroller at that point.

She has no definitive way to stop abigail's runs and if she's in the corner with him she's fucked. It's not her worst match up, and it's not her best.

No it was some shitty PSP fighter everyone was clamoring about. It bombed and everyone forgot about it a month after it came out. Literally none of the characters were bad, and everyone had a 100% combo.

It's strange how there's a very distinct difference between the styles of SF1, 2, 3 and 4 but there doesn't seem to be much of a difference between 4 and 5 besides the textures and a slight difference in faces.
