literally me.

mine imaginary monopoly money instead

>Have GTX 1080
>Play mostly adventure games

>buy a toaster
>play nothing but power hungry games
i love torturing myself

> indie trash

ur the reason gaming is dying and twitch too.

>buy an expensive graphics card worth more than a console
>find out the only good games are only on consoles

>have a mid-tier desktop
>get 40fps on ultra
>someone with a 1080ti gets 40fps as well

Unity and all other unoptimized engines need to fucking die already, PCs have so much power at their disposal but developers are cutting corners on development and optimization, making desktops appear far less powerful than they really are in comparison to consoles

>just got 1080ti / i7 8700k
>can’t wait to emulate ol PS2 games.

Is PS3 emulation possible and will I be able to do it smoothly with current specs?

>have a GTX 970 since release
>currently only play Dota 2, BoI, DaS III, Hollow Knight and Dwarf Fortess.
Sitting pretty lovely actually with Dota 2 being the most demanding game in my rotation. Maybe in about 10 years I’ll need to upgrade.

Reminder for those waiting for prices to "normalize", they won't, this is the new normal.

>i5 650
>gtx 480
>6gb of ram
>there haven't been any good games to warrant an upgrade because 1) the west has never made a good game and 2) the only jap games PC gets are vita kusoge
>millions of games in existence that are better and can run on my machine
>tfw no need to EVER upgrade

>buy another pic related today
>use it to mine crypto like any rational human

I have yet to try Kingdom Come, tho.

What a mistake

i miss when the main appeal of PC gaming wasn't in ports, indies, early access survivals and pixelshit

Your fault for pirating video games and screeching "GET OUT Sup Forums" when anyone criticizes the fact that AAA games are more often than not interactive liberal movies.

I'm the same, except I just play VNs. Something is wrong with me. The ironic weeb in me has gone to far.

He may not live in the US, while prices have gone up here it's only been by 3-5% so far

How much?

Who cares if you still enjoy them. I have mid-range card and still mostly play VNs and old jrpgs. And most of all I want my shitpost to be as fluid as possible.

What? They've gone up everywhere what are you smoking. People would just import them.

because you can't afford to buy new ones

$399

This. I'd still be using my 460 if it hadn't burnt down in a fire playing Starpoint Gemini 2.

Unity isn't unoptimized it's just one of the easiest engines to work with so it attracts all the retards who can't do simple stuff.

Twitch dying would be great, you should probably kill yourself.

So just because he praises a jap game we're all suppose to take that fat fucks word for it now?

>buy 1070
>watch anime and shitpost on Sup Forums
>haven't played a game in 2 weeks

>I'm poor lol but no games need a gpu newer than like 2010

>have shitty laptop with intel family HD
>can't afford to buy a computer,
Even if I got enough dough, I would probably had to choose used 750, used 4 gigs of ram, and used CPU and motherboard.
Or maybe I will just niig one of those premades,

Don't bother, just invest in good alcohol, vehicles and guns and wait until doomsday.

>pc has ZERO (0) games worth upgrading for
>lel ur poor

then again people are uniuronically playing pixelshit on mining cards so

>a jap game

yakuza is THE game, it's sony's halo, it's sony's mario, it's THE never ever game

>gtx 480

How? My fucking 560 caught fire playing hoi4. Although it was probably just a coincidence. Fuck that game.

I have a SLI 1080Ti setup left over from mining. I don't even play videogames lmao

>buy pic related
>play nothing but old games at 5120x2880 165hz
It's alright I guess.

>get 970 a bit after launch
>play both old and new games
>everything works at 1080/60
>literally no reason to upgrade

oh well

>buy 1080 Ti
>Earn Bitcoin and Ethererum through crypto trading and never mine
>Only play Doki Doki Literature Club

Well I suppose you don't need a good card if you don't have good taste

>>literally no reason to upgrade
/60

You know it's 2018, right? 1080p was standard 10 years ago. 60 fps is old shit. Get with the times.

>I have a SLI 1080Ti setup left over from mining.
Might as well keep it for mining. SLI/Crossfire support is dead.

>Check the articles sources
>Only listed ones are their own site linking to two unrelated articles
>Check the article itself
>"Think about it"
>Only other site reporting on this is WCCFTech, the most blatant rumor mill site in tech
I'm not saying they'll be good prices, or that they won't be driven up by crypto, but maybe try linking a real, sourced article with info as opposed to "dude just think about it it'll totally happen :^)"

Although more than 5%, even in Australia they've only gone up by 8-15%. At the end of 2016 a 6gb 1060 would cost you $285 USD at current exchange rates (What I bought mine for). My cousin got one recently and it cost him $310 USD
That price hike was recent as well, I suggested people import them while they were back at $285 USD but everyone on here had issues about that since I don't know

...

>only sources are itself
But they've set the FE cards as MSRP on their website. Why would they go ahead and match 3rd party sellers for their new cards, but keep the current overpriced cards at MSRP? Source aside, the logic seems flawed as well.

>mfw getting 380fps in Devil May Cry 4

>Playing DMC 4 at 4k
>Still get almost 90 fps

>modern westshit with lootcrates
>the WORST weebshit with bloated requirements
>"taste"

nah i'll just get a ps4 and play all the good games instead :^)

>spend like 7k mexican dollars on a 1060 6gb
>only play guilty gear Xrd
>peak GPU usage of 30 percent
really gets the noggin joggin

>cousin has a gtx1070
>she plays nothing but sims games

as good as it looks fine on my monitor, I can play on whatever resolution my game will run smoothly on.

60 fps is my sweet spot, the more the better and less is not allowed.

i bought one when they first came out, it seems a lot shittier than a regular 1070, at least in my eyes. It gets hotter, is louder, and performs worse, maybe it's because of my shitty cpu bottlenecking it? it's an i5-4460.

>24 Teraflop GPU
>Shitpost on Sup Forums all day

I know that feel.

If I had no computer right now and needed to buy one I'd just get one of the two Ryzen APUs and play old shit on that.

this is why I stuck with a 1050 and am not upgrading

at least until the prices get reasonable...

Remember to force vsync.

Not sure how much of an issue 100% GPU load is though.

>1050ti
>play GTA and many other games
Comfy as fuck, very happy with the price I got that card for. If I had bought it a week later it wouldn't have been available and I would have to get an rx550 for the same money.

I'm gonna buy a prebuild pc so i can finally get rid of my incredible shitty 2010 slim pc and actually try to run shit
here are the options that i have right now, i can get either a
i5-7400 3.0 GHz, 2 x 8GB DDR4 2133MHz RAM, SSD 120GB Sata3 2.5" UV400 + 1TB, Asus NVIDIA GeForce GTX1050Ti OC DUAL 4GB, motherboard Asus M/B Intel H110M-R A/L/V (1151), PSU ECO Series 500W
or a
AMD Ryzen 5 1400 3.2 GHz, 8GB DDR4 2133MHz, SSD 120GB Sata3 2.5" UV400 + 1TB, Asus NVIDIA GeForce GTX1050Ti OC DUAL 4GB, motherboard Asus M/B PRIME A320M-C R2.0 (AM4), PSU 600W 80Plus Bronze, wraith stealth cooling system

i know next to nothing about AMD systems but both prebuilds are about the same price, which do you guys think it's best?

That AMD CPU is faster than that i5, but both systems are shit. Do not buy a quadcore in the current year.

Get the AMD one, is being kinda hyperbolic. They aren't top end systems by any means but they'll get the job done and will handle 1080p/60 gaming well. AMD is going to be using the same motherboard socket for at least one more generation so that's why I'd recommend the AMD one, upgrading the CPU for when the 1400 doesn't cut it won't be too expensive.

I thought about getting the 1070 a couple years ago to replace my 560, but I realized I only emulate PS2 games. Now I want to play newer games, but I don't want to pay these outrageous prices for video cards.

The first game I played when I installed my beloved 290x all those years ago was need for speed II - a game from 1996. My PC then (and even moreso now) is far beyond the computing requirements it is unreal.

>MD Ryzen 5 1400 3.2 GHz, 8GB DDR4 2133MHz, SSD 120GB Sata3 2.5" UV400 + 1TB, Asus NVIDIA GeForce GTX1050Ti OC DUAL 4GB
I bought this a few months ago and I'm very happy with it. I opted for Ryzen and it handles absolutely everything I throw at it without breaking a sweat.

yes, more than yes

>leech nigger
>rational human

;_; my 780ti recently shit the bucket so I had to buy a 1080ti

I always remember you baby, all the times we had

i bought 1060, did i fucked up? i couldn't afford anything more expensive

>have this
>don't play anything on PC because there is only trash games thanks to battle royal and twitch

I want the 90's back.

>get a 1070
>emulate ds games

>she
Satiate her needs with wild sex and keep the vga for yourself.

please tell me you at least use that HD hack version of Desmume

>Get the AMD one
i will, thanks

>They aren't top end systems by any means but they'll get the job done and will handle 1080p/60 gaming well.
Yeah, that will do for now, i'm not looking for the 4K meme experience, i just want something that will run games at a good quality and can be upgraded along the way when i need it, i only wonder how much of a difference there are between 8 and 16g of RAM, i want to be able to switch tabs while playing really fast and not have to worry about my computer getting slow if i have too much shit on the background
I would try to get something better so i don't have to bother about upgrading later, but i'm kinda of a poor fag in a rather expensive country these prebuilds cost around $1000 USD here, which from what i've read from you guys if i lived in the US i could get something much better for the same price

I don't think so

>buy 1080ti
>play only hots
Well at least I play it in 4k.

>Living a sad shallow life for that one moment of temporary high, then boom dead
>Not being happy all the time with all your vidya

Also there's literally a whole second of ping in that game. Not joking.

good. you deserve it for giving money to devs who made such a shitty fucking game.

>i7 4790
>R9 Fury
>16 GB of RAM
>Play a decent amount of demanding games
>Usually get bored of most of them (Ass Creed Unity being the most recent example)
So many of these super high-fidelity western games are just boring shit.
At least pic related is actually fun in addition to looking gorgeous.
Yakuza is just Sleeping Dogs with better minigames and no parkour.

>buy a 750Ti 4 years ago
>no problems running any game I've played

I have the 6gb version and i'm pretty happy with it, works great

You can play lower end ps3 games like Catherine and Scott Pilgrim.
