You can do Dusty token stuff in between story missions. No need to rush through the story. There's just a point in the game where you can get tokens faster because you'll have a larger amount of treasure hunts available to do at one time, but don't feel like you need to rush though it.

dusty tokens is shit you get after completing online challenges, which the online component is shutting down soon. with dusty tokens you mostly unlock gestures and costumes. so yeah, thats pretty much it. doesnt seem like a big deal but this game is for waifufags so you can kinda see why they would think this is a big deal.

To get the extra talismans, costumes, and gestures you need to collect Dusty tokens. You can only get tokens by doing online events like treasure hunts, sharing/rating photos, and online challenges. When they shut down the servers in July you will no longer be able to do those events and can't get tokens, and can't earn the extra content.
They were actually supposed to close this January, but they pushed it to July.

You can't get it without the online component. Honestly it's an overrated reward since it weakens all of your attacks. You also unlock extra costumes and gestures with the tokens. pic unrelated

I'd just like to point out that the infinite potential talisman reward for getting 6000 dusty tokens is shit and not worth using.

Granted I'd already platinumed the game and the dusty tokens were the last thing I did so I wouldn't have gotten much use out of it anyway but it's not worth weakening your attacks.

Occasionally having to drop for about a second to have your meter refill isn't that much of a hassle compared.

The only thing I care about at this point is why won't they release the white outfit, already?

Is grinding out the tokens more fun than the combat? It bored me to the point of dropping the game but I still have my copy laying around

Getting tokens is mostly doing the treasure hunts along with rating/uploading photos and doing player challenges. Do you like doing those?

I just finished getting my 6000 dusty tokens. That reward for 6000 sucks. I thought I'd be able to have unlimited energy to fly around! But it makes your attacks weaker.

I never said that the game was super difficult to beat. You can just spam stasis and gravity kicks to beat the game, but if you want a good score for the combat challenges you need to get a good grasp of the combat.
If you want challenge, the deeper layers of the trecnh mine has buffed up Nevi that do much more damage, and one hit can take a third of your life, so you actually have to get good.

You have to press block multiple times. You can't hold the block button. It works just like the dodge does. When you dodge there is an animation and certain frames of the animation give you i-frames and the block is an animation with certain frames being "block frames" where you you will stop an attack if an enemy hits you. The difference is that when you successfully block an attack you can instantly block another incoming attack so it's possible to completely block a Nevi laser by repeatedly pressing block at the right time.

It's good, albeit flawed. Some missions are weak and there are forced stealth sections. But the flying is really fun and they improved the combat. Your enjoyment of the game depends largely on how much you enjoy just flying around the world.

You wont understand parts of 2 if you don't play the first one, so it helps to have played it. If you have a save of the remastered version of the first game on your PS4 you get extra costumes for the sequel.

Battles are terrible in this game holy fuck.
I can't resolve myself to finish the game. Flying has a great feeling (not really fun per say), but that's pretty much it.

The sequel needed a better combat system, camera and lvl-design. Exploration only consist to collect shitty things again... Wasted potential.

The only terrible battle is the monster Kali boss. You can beat most of the main game by spamming throw, it's not hard.

I just got it in the mail today. It's very fun so far but I don't know that I want to spend time grinding out Dusty Tokens when they're related to the online because grinding out online stuff is always a bitch unless you and somebody else are boosting. Maybe I'll change my mind on that later though, I've only gotten started with the game after all.

You can do it inbetween missions, and you have until July to get the 6000 tokens, so it's like you need to grind them all out right away. You can just do some treasure hunts inbetween story missions, or even save it all until you beat the story if you want.
