Olcadan is a great design but he's a Mokujin character much like Weapon Master and Charade. Unless you like those type of characters he's more of a wasted character slot.

I never played any game like Fire Emblem but soul calibur 3 chronicles of the sword was pretty damn fun in my opinion and nothing of the sort came back in the later games.
And the same goes for non hero classes with non hero moves or branching path in the story.
