Very enjoyable at first but gets increasingly worse the farther you get into it because the story never fucking accelerates and barely exists after the intro up until you defeat Ganon. Also, the realization that you have to grind out the ass for hearts and stamina and pretty much have to use some sort of guide to find all the shrines will either fucking excite you or turn you off from the game so much you will give up playing it.

Pretty much the entire point of the game is just going around and exploring. You find shrines naturally enough to get whatever you need for endgame. It's probably just bait but I've seen people post this shit as a con since it came out. I just don't fucking understand how anyone can miss out on shrines when it's pretty much more than half of the game.

Then the next 100 could be a slog, could be not. Depends on how you enjoy open world games without a huge list of objectives like in Ubisoft games. Combat is fun as hell but its simple unless you get creative and use the environment as your weapon

He's not wrong though.

An incredibly boring, frustratigly slow walking simulator. You'll want to quit around about the third time you scale a mountain and have to take breaks to regen stamina. Might be fun with a movement speed mod if they exist yet but I can't recommend playing without one.

The depth of the systems is a bit mismatched with the size of the world, though. I'd say the core gameplay loops are compelling for between 30-100 hours, but you can easily spend 150+ hours exploring the whole map.

Fortunately, BotW is extremely flexible, and you can really spend as much or as little time with it as you want to. If you find you're getting tired of it, you can zip to the major points of interest and wrap up the game real quick.

a glitchy, broken version of one of the best games I've ever played.
It's kinda sad so many people get put off by the game because they played it on cemu. It really doesn't do it justice.

Dont expect to be able to stop and enjoy the scenery at night because shit will literally pop out of the ground to attack you because you stopped.
Also, some of the shrines are bullshit gyroscope puzzles.
You could literally beat this game from the start, but the bulk of the interesting

A little light on the story for a zelda game but man I just get lost in the world for hours, always seeing cool stuff to explore. I probably have 100+ hours exploring and doing the side quests, and the armor hunts, and there's still 4 areas I haven't been to in the game yet.

I would say more like 20 for the actual game "story". Such a waste as it could have been good if they put more time into it.

The next 90 hours are rivalled and bridled. Only the first 10 are complete, unadultered ecstacy.

Shrines are interesting. I said it. I liked finding them, especially the ones involved in quests, and the puzzles were neat uses of the runes and physics. Eat my ass.
