Let's fix that.
What are you all playing?

Finally getting around to finishing Ace Attorney: Spirit of Justice
Playing Dual Destinies myself. Got it on sale a few days ago.
Yes
Just got the Wave Beam. Enjoying the game so far, even if it's gotten mixed reviews. There definitely isn't enough enemy variety.
Wish I would have gotten the Samus edition 3DS, but whatever.
Picked up MH4U in the sale but it will probably be a while before I can play it. I want to finish Metroid and Ultra Moon before I get sucked into Monster Hunter.
About 25 hours into Bravely Second but starting to lose steam because every scenario feels super samey. It's a shame because I like most aspects of the game, I'm just losing interest.
Animal Crossing and... oh.
Never got around to playing the original. Just finished Ultra Moon, which I had to force myself to get through.
Ultra Moon gets more boring the farther I get. I’m on Route 12, mon are ~lvl30-40, and I’m just bored. The game was exciting for me at the start since the last Pokémon I played was Black, but the story is just dragging on, and my character stupidly smiling at everything pisses me off. Aside from completing the Dex, I don’t know what endgame there is so I don’t have much motivation to get there.
Devil Survivor 2. I got the DRRR characters working so I'm having fun watching Shizuo shitstomp everything.
Freeshop
>post yfw he actually likes durarara
What the fuck.
No. i was just about to post this same exact thing.
Nah nah this shit aint right.
Unironically nigga.
Are
You
Me?
Im around level 35 and just go to the flower town and i never went back to it.
By the way, the censoring they did to Magnolia is another reason why i havent touched it. How can they cover pic related up?
Fucking cucks.
Been playing some majora's mask, rune factory 4 and a couple snes games. Demon's Crest and Terranigma seem underrated as fuck. Kinda feel like replaying earthbound though. Not sure.
Kinda hyped for the strange journey remake.
my 3ds died it just turn on for a few seconds and it dies. you can hear the speaker and the screen flickering for a milisecond
still no idea what it is
Just got link between worlds and I'm enjoying it a lot more than I thought I would. I feel like this is what BOTW should've been like, where you have a lot of freedom to go wherever you want, but instead of 200 portal rooms there's 10 solid dungeons that you can work your way to with different items you need to find in order to get to them.
I finished the league and pretty much quit. I don't really know if it's me or the game since I rather enjoyed White 2, but UM hasn't clicked with me at all. All I know about the end game is Rainbow Rocket, Ultra beasts, and I guess Red and Blue show up. Can't be assed to play through it more at the moment though.
>Play Alliance Alive
>it's shit
Welp, the other game worth playing that is pending release is Strange Journey. After that, the 3DS is dead.
Same thing happened to my launch 3ds, even replacing the battery did nothing.
Strangely enough my launch 2ds works just fine.
Different user
>after that, the 3ds is dead
True. But you have an entire library to pick and choose from. Not to mention snes and gba games if you hack a "new" model. It's great if you like the remakes and third party stuff.
Dr. Mario miracle malpractice
Don't know why this had such a quite release it's great
I unironically enjoyed NES remix
did it get leaked?
I plan to get a 3DS, how hard is it to put CFW on it to play pirated games, and how is SNES emulation for it?
Shit is it out?
Nothing wrong with NES Remix, friend.
>tfw more precise control because no wireless controller lag like Wii U
Yes, check 3dsiso.
When the fuck does this game really start? I'm a few hours in and I'm constantly interrupted by characters giving me exposition dumps. Also the auto read is fuck slow as shit.
Downloaded Radiant Historia the other day, but I'm in the middle of a Metroid Fusion playthrough I would like to finish first.
Should I play the RH remake on 3DS or just play the rom on my laptop/phone?
>3DS
>What are you all playing?
just got mario maker and the charger decided to poop itself, can't play my 2ds ;c anyone knows of a non-nintendo charger that's resistant
>inb4 stomach hands
i travel a lot and my cable gets shitted as sometimes im in a hurry and have to disconnect it asap
New 3DS XL vs 2DS XL
Is the extra 50 quid worth it?
Sadly trading my vita for one and I dunno which one
There's still the new EO game that's supposed to be announced this Spring.
For those who played Perfect Chronology, any tips in defeating Epilogus?
Just bought Monster Hunter generations. This is the first time a monster hunter game actually "clicked" with me. Having fun chopping the shit out of some monsters with the switch axe.
Only difference is 3d. I don't know about UK and Euroland. But here in North America the 2DS XL has been on sale for 125.99 USD
playing 3D Land wanted to get back into it after not playing for a while. Also been playing some Animal Crossing and Kirby Battle Royale to hype me up for Star Allies
not really. Personally I never use the 3D function.
>He STILL hasn't hacked his 3DS yet
THERE'S LITERALLY NEVER AN EXCUSE
If you have newer firmware there isn't an easy way to hack it other than doing a system transfer on the 2DS XL. Or a hardware mod.
>mfw my 3ds hinge snapped breaking the top screen and making it unviewable after having it since debut
I guess that's it for me.
I've worked through both my DS and 3DS backlog. Are Samus Returns or M&L: Paper Jam any good?
I hear paper jam is okay. But it is hard to tell on this board. Because some people are fucking autistic as fuck when it comes to the Paper Mario and Mario RPG games.
ntrboot
Is it at least better than Legend of Legacy? I got the leak but haven't started it up yet.
It's a good game, honestly, system similar to Saga games.
Wrong, just order a card with ntrboot pre-installed for like 20 bux
>but muh magnet
You litteraly cant break shit if you put the magnet where its supposed to be. Some card manufacturers even give a magnet thats extra safe so you can't fuck it up.
I did this shit 3 times for friends already and was thinking of selling this as a service in my region.
Just started playing AA4 and Radiant Historia. Probably going to start DQ7 after I finished those.
Got the Pokemon 20th anniversary 3ds for $95 today. Blastoise plates. Did I do good?
Okay hoping for the best then. Still working on getting to the new stuff in Radiant Historia so I think I'll be set until Strange Journey.
There's still one more EO game in the works and also PQ2
Been playing through FE: shadows of valentia. It's an okay fire emblem game, level design and class diversity are lacking at times. I absolutely hated conquest and birthright. Sacred stones is still my favorite FE.
Wtf us the name of this game??? I played a friend's copy for a bit while visiting and it was just enough to make me want it but I can't remember the fucking name. Friend and I lost contact after he moved so can't ask them.
Hotel Dusk
I probably won’t use the 3D either, but I keep hearing that the N3D has better screens, and a stronger hinge - so is the hardware really identical?
I’m going to try and find 2 so I compare the feel in my hands
Second is pretty one step forward, one step back. The new classes are fun, the side characters are charming, the chomper minigame is crazy rewarding by the end, and there's no bullshit loop. But the story feels aimless, the music is mostly worse, they unnecessarily removed shit, and the ending is underwhelming.
Catmancer is a hilarious class, though.
>buy regular sized 3ds today
>it's small size cramps my hands
Fuck this gay earth
ah-bloo bloo
Hero
Exactly alike. They only moved buttons around. Like the start select. Home button. the power button is on the bottom. Speakers are on the inside of the machine. Don't need to open the back of the DS anymore to get at the SD card. They have a slot on the bottom with a cover.
I'm suffering through Etrian Odyssey V's sixth stratum. Getting through 29f is hell and I bought the money DLC just to cut down on the grind.
Can any user whose played The Alliance Alive give their thoughts on it? I've never played a SaGa game or anything like it since FF2, and the demo has me way more interested than Legend of Legacy did.
Then I will defo have to find 2 to compare the feel if the hardware is the same
Dragon Ball Fusions.
Not a bad game. I really love how you can set up knock around combos.
Also the open world is fucking great
Playing Star Fox 64 3D this really is the best Version of the game if only they didnt take out the hidden on foot multiplayer mode for some raisen
A psp
Not them but I'm debating whether or not I should buy the 2DSXL as well (have an old 3ds currently) and I heard it "feels" a bit cheap in the hands, is it true?
The Saddest thing about that game and the Zelda Remakes is that Nintendo had the opportunity to make New games in the syle of those since they could run on the 3ds
Playing mh4u as my first monster hunter game and just got introduced to the frenzy virus. Solid gameplay, hopefully MHW will be just as good when I get off my toaster computer.
I'm using the hammer and long sword at the moment, avoiding the insect glave because it feels like a press R+B to win. What's another fun weapon choice?
nothing
my 2ds is basically a glorified paper weight
SaGafags are still pretty clearly the intended audience, but at least it tries to have standard JRPG linearity instead of straight-up copypasting SaGa's "figure it out yourself" style
The scenario is handled by the Suikoden writer and it shows, because the plot involves a resistance movement and you get to go NPC-collecting in the game's second half
Do note that it's pretty short though, and while there's plenty opportunity to go nuts with 12 characters doing whatever you want with skills and equipment, the difficulty never gets very high (unlike what SaGa is known for)
It's pretty cute but it's not for everyone- if you enjoyed the demo you'll probably have a good time with it though, since I think that takes place in the game's least interesting parts
Bampu.
Yeah it's perfect for arcade style sessions on 3DS.
>If you have newer firmware there isn't an easy way to hack it other than doing a system transfer on the 2DS XL. Or a hardware mod.
Simply not true. Stop spreading misinformation.
Want back to 4U cause Worlds postgame is shit. Also recently finished Stella Glow, cute and fun game.
Does cfw affect battery in anyway? ever since hacking my battery life has pretty much halved.
3DS might be getting old though.
Glad to see another Stellafag. Curious choice for a best girl, but I can respect it.
I've never had any battery problems after hacking my o3dsxl. Although I bought one used off ebay that had barely been used in the first place so it was more or less a fresh battery that still lasts a solid 6+ hours of game time today.
What game is this and is it good?
Read the post and the post it replied to and use some basic deduction skills. All the information is right there.
I'm playing Etrian Odyssey 4 and I'm loving it, I'm thinking of eventually getting EOU1, U2 and 5. I'm also looking forward to PQ2 as I too liked PQ and that game was what got me into EO.
Pic related at the 5th stratum and so far it's pretty much all time great. Unlocked the magic doors and ran about with a couple of B-teamers and a Guild Card character - it's sweet being able to mess about with alternative playstyles
>Gaidenshitter
I find Giselle the most attractive out of the girls. Lisette or Mordimort would be my other choices.
I've got a n3dsxl, had it since MH4U came out, maybe my battery is just shitting out and I need to buy a new one.
I'm up for shorter RPGs sicne I still have DQ VIII on the backburner, what I'm worried about is it being any good. Played Saga Frontier back in the day and kind of love it, but that game has a lot more personality than TAA seems to
Nothing.
It's been collecting dust for a good while since there's fucking jackshit coming for it anymore.
Playing Citra nowadays. I think I'm blind though because I can just barely tell the difference between my 3DS XL and x10 Native Res. If anything the lack of 3D, a gamepad and a second screen (damn you, MHXX) makes it worse.
Do it, I started with IV as well and enjoyed all of those games except 2U. III is a blast as well despite being a tad rougher mechanics-wise than the 3DS games
Honestly I wouldn't dream of comparing its personality to real SaGa in any capacity
It does try, but this is the modern era and things are different now
I do think it's pretty good, as a SaGafag, because it's so similar yet different enough to not be a clone
So it has its own identity for the most part
It does look like some good fun. I know I'll jump straight into it once I've finished RH.
Where the FUCK have I been? When did this get a 3DS port? Has anybody played it and is it good?
I finally finished my first route in this. Loved it a fuckton. Don't mind me giving myself a terrible Japanese name that's like two surnames, but I wanted to give my protag a plausible Japanese name and I have no idea how to go about it, so I just made some portmanteau of my IRL name and a battleship name because I figured this game would be about battles.
It's okay. If you played it on PS2, well, it's still full of stupid fetchquesting, endless location revisits and mediocre battles. What it does have is shittons of raw content. There's some overworld slowdown [full 3D overworld with enemy spawns!] and the optional skits are terrible because they're all unvoiced and slow textwise. Still a solid technical achievement, without being as strong as those DQ games
What game is this?
I liked the first game on DS, but is it still full of Macca grinding? I remember several battles which were just 'Well, level's fine, strategy is clear, just need cash for another long range attack/flying demon'
The remake has more stuff, so you might as well play that
Shin Megami Tensei: Devil Survivor Overclocked. Whenever a friend of mine is asking how this is played, I try to explain by saying "It's like X-Com meets Pokemon, with a cool apocalyptic twist".
I consider myself to have kept grinding to a low amount, only ever repeating free battles to make sure that I crack all the skills. When the final boss was the first thing to really completely outclass my party, I did only a few more battles to make some Mitamas and carry the most powerful skills (Holy Dance, Drain, Deathbound, Endure, Samarecarm, Shield All) to the demons who still had only their first basic skill. I don't think it's *that* grindy, and like in most games with grind you can substitute most of the grind with some clever moves. I found it organic and enjoyable to play it that way. The only instance I know of which requires you to be maxed out is if you want to defeat the Fallen Star special unlockable sub-boss, but by the time you reach him I assume you already should have done multiple route playthroughs on NG+.
