What is the best Halo game and why is it Halo Reach?
Also why is Halo 4 so easy/Halo 5 a lot a harder than Halo 4?
What is the best Halo game and why is it Halo Reach?
I don't give a fuck what people say Reach had the best campaign fuck the lore
CE has the best campaign
3 has the best MP muh customs
CE because it's the only one with a decent PC version.
CE > 3 > 2 > POWERGAP > the rest
Fuck off, Reach baby
halo 2 is the best. and im not counting any of the campaigns
I'll just stop you right there
>disgusting motion blur at 30fps
>washed out colors makes it the blandest looking Halo game to date
>all the cockteasing from the trailers and campaign cutscenes are never followed up in gameplay
>the game throws two Scarabs at you AND THEN MAKES YOU IGNORE THEM. THEY DON'T EVEN FUNCTION AS TRUE SCARABS, THEY CAN'T BE KILLED AND THEIR MAIN GUN DOESN'T FUCKING WORK
>Bungie literally forgot to give Brute Chieftains the ability to activate their Gravity Hammers, meaning they only swing them at you like giant clubs
>All the stupid as fuck additions to lore that weren't necessary and only served to make the Battle of Reach into a complete clusterfuck timeline-wise (why introduce a subspecies of Jackal that literally got genocided during Reach)
I can go on if you'd like.
This
Halo Reach was my favorite Halo and I feel like it had the tightest controls
CE is the best Halo
343 Halo looks worse than Reach desu.
It was so good they forgot to give it the 60fps treatment that all the other Halo games got.
It runs better on the Bone than it did on the 360 though.
Not him but at least they got rid of the stupid motion blur and film grain while bringing back Halo's colors that Bungie forgot about after Halo 3.
>muh bright colors
kys
You kill yourself, every Halo game was bright, vibrant, and colorful but then Bungie forgot that after Halo 3.
I strongly prefer Reach to every other Halo and it's just for two reasons
>get my own character I can actually customize that stays persistent across different modes of play (this is literally my fetish, thanks RB6V)
and
>better characters
inb4 people try to argue that SARJUNT JOHNSON or KEYES or CORTANA were worthwhile to listen to. Jorge and Emile may have been marysues but they were less annoying to listen to. Not being a marysue yourself is pretty cool, and the end of the campaign is badass. Much more emotional attachment to be had in Reach's campaign, between losing squadmates who actually help, characters with more story rather than just loud exaggerated caricatures.
>inb4 nobody mentions it's the only halo where you don't have to listen to the fucking talking lightbulb
>film grain
This was cool though.
ODST had my favourite campaign, plus firefight and 3's multiplayer with all the maps
Honestly it was fucking sick
No, it wasn't, all that shit did was make the fucking game look like muddy brown shit.
ODST>Reach>3>CE>5>2>>>>>>>>> campaign
2>3>CE>Reach>5>4 for multi
>all these fucking ranking retards
Disagree. It gave it a nice texture.
It made the game look like dogshit, pretty sad when Halo 3 ended up having better environmental textures over that piece of shit prequel.
Again, disagree. It made the game feel really atmospheric to me.
It made the game feel and look really bland like your generic modern shooters of that era.
343 should have kept up the tradition of saying fuck you to the book lore since a lot of it was fucking retarded
I just disagree my dude. It made the environments feel lived in or something to me. I felt closer to the world.
Joe Staten working with the book author is what made Halo CE-3 shit on the mess that Bungie made that came after.
Go play Call of Duty, Reachfag.
>muh special snowflake
>muh characters
Yeah you're a nu gamer alright, explains why you prefer reach over the vastly superior originals.
wait ODST had multiplayer aside from firefight? I only played that game last year in the MCC so had no idea
It had a thing where it added a bunch of extra maps to 3's existing multiplayer, it didn't have it's own pvp multiplayer. Not sure if you needed the original halo 3 or not to play it though, it's been a while and I had both so I wasn't affected by it anyway.
This, explain, mother fucker
holy shit you're retared.
CE came before 2 which came before 3 which came before ODST which came before reach which came before 4 which came before 5.
CE>2>3>ODST>REACH>4>5
Book Fall of Reach story > game fall of Reach story
8 years later I'm still mad at how Bungie fucked over their own lore and made it objectively worse. Fight me.
Agreed, I'm still mad about the teaser, I thought Halo: Reach would be an adaptation of the book but it wasn't. My hype for a game never died so hard as it did with Reach the only other comparable is Metroid: Other M. I treat both as if they were non-canon.
If you didn't play this shit back in it's heyday you fucking missed out
Are any servers still alive? I'd love to snipe some fuckers from across a continent on Coldsnap again
>sprint is good
It ruined Halo retard. Along with things like armor abilities.
Halo is a game series though.
Gameplay>Story
And don't just pivot to "the gameplay was shit". You're entitled to that opinion, but you're acting like you wrote off the game because of its story.
ADS was worse
Along with sprint existing outside of classes
Man, just fuck 343 in-general
>getting really good with longsword nukes
>being able to drop one from the height limit accurately onto a warthog
Truly no better feeling than using an entire nuke to kill one Spartan.
Too bad Reach failed at both which is why it's shit.
>Driving a warthog across the fucking endless tundra
>Suddenly hear shrieking
Disagree 2 be desu.
Halo 5 is the easiest in the whole franchise,
you can literally complete the campaign on Legendary on the first run just hoping that your weak-ass AI companion will save your life when you get down
Also Halo 3 on legendary is more easy than Halo 4
This. Also the reticle bloom was ugly as fuck and armor abilities were so fucking garbage. Jetpack was the only one that fit in with gameplay. Fuck sprint, and FUCK armor lock.
That said, I did get the feels at several points. Jorge and Six in particular.
I meant in multiplayer. I can easily fuck people up in 4, but i'm average at 5.
You can keep disagreeing it doesn't change the fact that Reach was shit.
>Jetpack was the only one that fit in with gameplay
No, they didn't, it broke the map, Reach was just shit all around but I agree with the rest of what you said.
????
We're dealing in opinions here, not facts.
Your opinion is ass.
for you
>he could have gotten onto the autumn
>but he chose to stay back to buy every second he could
