A side story to chrono trigger.
You have another time traveling group and they go the near the same locales and stuff as Chrono but slightly different times and places or something like that

You go into the past and break Lucca's hymen right after she fails to save her mom.

Kato already told us what his idea was going to be. The cast members from Chrono Trigger team up with Surge and co to fight a new threat. But he didn't specify what that threat would be.

If I was in charge, I would have the third game focus on a combination of time and dimensional travel, allowing the group described above to travel to both the time and place where Lavos spawned. And then destroy Lavos before he has a chance to travel to their home planet. But you find out when you get to that planet that Lavos is basically just a pet for something on an astronomical scale. Something on the level of a 'Q' from Star Trek. Which you have to defeat.

Anyway, you spend most of the game exploring this alien world and leveling up. As well as the typical psychobabble story mixing time travel and dimensional travel. Maybe even jump between multiple planets. But at the end, you confront and destroy the super dimensional being and reverse all the bad events from Trigger and Cross. And each member on the team gains the ability to manipulate time and space to be reborn into a new life they want.

Sounds cool, I like this.

CC is retconned for good.

Says who? If anything the CT remake legitimized CC even more you nigger.

You play a dude.
Dude gets turned into a cat.
You have to play as some stupid fucking cat the entire game.
No, wait.
That's a completely fucking retarded idea.
Sorry.

Play as Magus traversing the dimensional rift trying to find Schala and going to alternate dimensions of events that happened in Trigger/Cross
Basic idea as fuck but that's all I've got

Hey, it's got potential. You can meet Alfador and Crono's cat, and go on ridiculous cat adventures together.

You could also show what happened to all the cats going through time portals in one of the endings too

They should just let the original Chrono Cross team regroup and remake Chrono Cross to what they wanted it to be. Add in that 1/3 the story that got cut, make each character have their own story arc and etc. Then if that remake does well, make a Chrono 3.

Chrono Cross was a fine game. But it could be an epic game if it got a remake. But not if some shitty team like Matrix does it.

They built a whole setup for a sequel into the game.

And then proceeded to ruin it with Radical Dreamers/Cross. I’d want a CB story that closed the gap on that. No sleeping dragon/timedevourer cop out bullshit.

To be honest, there's nowhere to go with it at this point. Cross pretty much wrapped up any loose ends that could be had with Lavos.

People keep saying that the reason for the Chrono series' end was the staff going their separate ways but that's only part of it. There's just not much room to expand on the previous two games, and thematically we've already covered time travelling and dimensional crossing.

An RPG series can always just shift focus to a new bad guy. I would argue Cross should have done that. But it would be just as easy for a third Chrono game to do the same.

But like pointed out, the head writer already had plans for a way to connect the previous games to a third one. Square just never let him do it and instead delegated him to write Final Fantasy XI. And later on, a bunch of shitty Mana games no one played.

magus and schala have a son and another lavos drops from the sky but you kill it easily and then you go travel space to find the lavos home planet to kill the lavos species once and for all

Orlha as MC

Dating sim to get Glenn Hasubando'd

You save all of the original CT cast from their horrible fates, not just Schala.

Magus had a hard life.

Alright, hear me out motherfuckers
>Mana-like 2D ARPG gameplay because smoothbrains in 2018 don't like turn-based anymore
>Legend of mana tier sprite quality, no 2.5D bullshit
>Toriyama art-style to profit from all the black people watching dragon ball super

>Play as Magus right after the DS dream devourer fight, you wake up and feel like shit that you can't find schala, but you don't even know what you're looking for because muh amnesia
>wander around a bit, find yourself in modern day medina in the good future.
>There's a big monster thing that's been harassing all the little goblin-folk, that's the first boss.
>They recognize you as the ancient demon-king and you have memories from other time-lines flooding back
>remember all that happened and at that time a time portal opens up (it happened in trigger it can happen here fuck off)
>takes you to the far past, where you see Lavos crashing into earth and notice Chrono and Co. fighting Azala
>make a dark brooding comment
>realize if you kill lavos now while it's an infant you can prevent everything from happening
>Go to lavos
>it talks to you about life and evolution blah blah we can have Kato write this bit
>A disgusted Magus tries to kill lavos but can't
>instead the Frozen Flame splinters off Lavos
>Magus goes to grab it and becomes the Arbiter, sees a vision of the Time devourer in the future and Serge freeing Schala
>Wake up and use the same portal that Chrono usesd to get back to the end of time and talk to Gaspar
>He tells you about belthazar in the far future
>you take a portal there and met with "all according to keikaku: man himself
>while this is happening the time crash occurs
>You get sent back with chronopolis
>participate in the fight between the dragons and start to realize how shitty FATE is even though it was protecting humanity
>belthazar tells you that he needs you in the future to help serge free schala according to keikaku

I haven't played Chrono Cross yet so I don't know if they did this, but since Chrono Trigger uses A.D. and B.C. for its time you should be able to go back to 0 B.C., where you discover that BC in Chrono Trigger does not stand for Before Christ but actually it means Before Crono

Sets in pre-Antiquity Era and the end of Ice Age, it tells a tale where humanity discovered the Sun Stone and gain magic powers, thus leading into the foundation of Zeal. You play as a Hunter and the first human who discovered the Sun Stone. However when you touch the stone, you get a vision of colossal being aka Lavos try to communicate with you. Then a surge magical energy charges into your body and throw you into Dinopolis, where the reptite rules over the humanity in this timeline. And your adventure begins here.

Stopped reading.

>Speaking with IGN, Takashi Tokita, the director of Chrono Trigger, was asked if RPG fans will ever see another Chrono game. Here’s what he had to say about that:

>“There was actually a time when I planned a new title called Chrono Break. Though it was canceled before accomplishing anything, the overall idea for the title was carried over to my latest game, Final Fantasy Dimensions II. Aemo’s character setting and the balance between the three characters at the beginning…these were based on the original concept [for Chrono Break] but were reworked for this title.”

70 hours of Kid cursing at everyone within earshot in her British accent

and AD stands for "After Departure" for when you travel back to your original time period

>Sends you to the future, but you lose your memories again and become magil
>participate in cross keikaku
>after schala gets unjusted, belthazar shows up and tells you everything
>you're happy that schala is free but still go look for her
>find her and then help her find serge
>in the process find a qt demon waifu
>ending is all happy and shit and we make sure of this by locking kato in a basement after he finishes the shit we tell him to

She's aussie you dumb fuck

Radiant Historia feels like a spiritual successor.

A game that kills all the characters of the previous game offscreen.

Well niggas?
Should I quit my job as a ducktor and apply for a position at SE?

>voice acting

By that logic, we can say so does Suikoden or Dragon Quest.

I always thought they could do the afterlife. Travel between Heaven, Hell, and the world of the living. Purgatory could play a 'end of time' role. Could fight some old bosses and enemies in hell, and see old good characters in heaven.

Make it Chrono Trigger 2 instead.

It should be an entirely new story but just based on time travel. Like Final Fantasy. All new world and characters etc.

>Pitch your story, ideas and concept for this game.
ok
>Be in Metropolitan future as orphanage
>You are working towards being a police man
>Historical texts say all the evil and good vanished one day without question from the world. Yet it is treated as something to laugh at.
>Future idiot works on time machine
>It is broadcasted live because they want to talk to someone from the past and ask about such shenanigans
>All the evils of the past were transported into there at random places making it too chaotic to handle
>Everyone losing their shit. While their weapons are effective their speed, stamina, and endurance are worth shit. Also their tanks and aircrafts aren't that effective in the long run because of being to slow or too fragile.
>World in panic as people dying left and right
>You make your way to the time machine and go into the past to see how people dealt with them and return
>Game starts

A game that has absolutely nothing to do with the first two, except lavos and schala pop up at the end again.

>The entire cast of Cross gets violently murdered
Boom. Done. SquareEnix gib money. I put more thought into it than all the writers for CC.

>All this triggernigger salt for Chrono Cross
It's been 20 years, let it go

Oh look. It's the Cross Defense Force, trying to defend their shit game. You do it for free, yeah?

>It's been 20 years
And it's still shit.

A third person rpg with collectable hats

Different user here. Chrono Cross wasn't as good as Chrono Trigger, but it was still one of the better RPGs on the PS1. Its hardly shit.

Final Fantasy Tactics Advance.

Actually a sequel to Chrono Chross and not a Trigger jerk off fest
