this game is poo

a john woo game
I enjoyed it, but it's been at least 5 or so years ago since I last played
not too shabby for 7 bux

You're in for a moist experience.
A real water park.
It's a swimming experience.

funny man huh

The second best homage to exploitation films in vidya

Tony Hawk Pro Skater with guns.

A better Max Payne with 1/80th the budget. Not perfect but going ham with a combo in that game, especially in an endless enemy spawn room felt fucking good. They nailed that shitty grind house aesthetic if anything.

it was actually a decent game, shame bethshit removed it from existence

Final boss and the mansion on an island level sucks, so prepare yourself for disappointment towards the end of the game. I just think the budget ran dry at the end.

Bump, I'm curious too

One of those games from 7th gen where devs were actually trying to make fun gameplay

whats the first?

Slo-mo and nauseating angles

Honest opinion, just played this last year.

I really wanted to like this game. Everyone praises the music, but I could just not get into any song. It never better than the intro. I felt like i liked the kind of references this game was trying to pull off, but i just didnt think it executed them well. Ill play anything again and i cant seem to see myself playing this again unless i was on some island somewhere.

And one of those really common games where they failed.

Thats fair. I mean, I like it, its a solid 7/10. but it's not groundbreaking by any means, just a standard action game. and yeah, the music is great, but not for everyone.

At least you gave it a chance, a lot of people shit all over it.

really like the atmosphere and ambient, gameplay is ok but turn too repetitive after a while

butts butts butts butts butts

Sound track is pretty good

They really missed out if the marketing campaign for this wasn't some image of the title character playing the game while looking really into it with the caption "You're gonna get WET" lurking below

Best ryona in video gaming.

>but I could just not get into any song.

I didn't at first but then I drove to it. You get a clear stretch of road and roll all the windows down? Hell yeah, nigga.

A based psychobilly soundtrack.

You're in for good value. The game can be annoying and super fun and sometimes both at the same time. It didn't do too well financially because it's too hard for the average 7th gen pleb and it was designed with a gameplay over visuals in mind.
Plus Eliza Dushku was too much of a niche waifu.

Oh yeah, that existed...

House of the Dead Overkill

An underrated 3rd person Max Payne/John Woo/Grindhouse style shooter that, while flawed, is still worth playing through once just to experience. It's definitely one of those style over substance kind of games though and you can tell most of the work was but into the art-style more so than the gameplay but the gunplay/swordplay is solid. It's kinda short and doesn't have much replay value but is easily worth picking up on the cheap. I think I bought my copy for $5 and it was well worth it.

A terrible game that keeps getting praise from the five people who still remember it for whatever reason.

>and it was designed with a gameplay over visuals in mind.
Yeah that's why half the fucking game consists of QTEs and mashing X to show off how stylish it is.

Simple story.
Putrid graphics, it barely looks like a PS2 game (the only cool parts were the rage bursts sequences were everything becomes cel-shaded).
Frantic gameplay that can be fun, but you're gonna have a hard time aiming with your guns.

The game has very low visual fidelity and compensates for it with style. Meanwhile the core of the game is action gameplay that actually requires both solid aiming and the ability to think ahead and/or make fast decisions. It's also quite punishing if you fail at these things.
>half the fucking game consists of QTEs and mashing X
lmao

Fun. Messy design and some weak bits drag it out, which is bad for a short game. Play on the hardest difficulty or its too easy. A total blast when you fully combo chain a room from 100/0. Oh, the platforming is sorta broken so expect some frustration about mid/late game due to one particular mission.

Defend this. The whole level is just a blatant example of the devs trying to force their cinematic experience over actual gameplay. You want a game in a similar style that actually values gameplay go play Stranglehold at least in that they bothered to give your pistol shots more than one sound effect. Wet is largely forgotten for a reason and that reason is it's awful at worst and mediocre at best.

Pretty good game, tho wasted potential because of how most levels are designed
Sadly Bethesda didn't give a shit about sequel it was in plans and released nu-wolfenstein, arkaneshit and other garbage instead

Fun.

Bethesda never gave a shit about the game to begin with, it only took it as publisher because Activision had rejected it and they thought they could squeeze some pennies out of it.

Defend that? It literally made me feel like playing the game again.
But on a mechanical level that section is basically a railshooter with added QTEs. It's not a great part from a pure gameplay pov but goddamn if the audiovisual combo doesn't more than make up for it. Also levels like that are the exception and you know it.

A game so forgettable google doesn't know what it is.

i remember it being really repetetive , and ruby wasnt hot enough in game.
it had some style but the style couldnt carry the rest of the game

I remember playing the demo for this a bunch and enjoyed it a lot. The music and style is very fitting, and that one Johnny Cash trailer they had was great.
