What killed the ARMS hype?
What killed the ARMS hype?
It never really had hype to begin with.
nothing killed it, people love the game. I'm playing it practically every single day
Splatoon 2
Too casual. I think. Or heard.
Am I right?
For me, I dropped the game due to lack of content. Literally the only good mode is fucking 1v1, and competitive was pretty fun. I put over 50 hours into the game just doing 1v1s, but eventually i got tired of it due to lack of variety. The other multiplayer modes are generally ass. It feels like the whole game was designed around 1v1, but they tacked on all the other shit to justify a 60$ asking price, but it still feels bare bones.
fpbp
It seemed fun but not worth paying $60 for. Also, unlike splatoon it just didn't really have a unique aesthetic complemented the gameplay well.
The ARMS what? It's nonexistent marketing budget ran out, so nobody pretends to care about it anymore.
Waggle controls.
Splatoon 2
No content
Everyone got tired of the game after like 2 days
>we're giving this game the splatoon treatment
>just kidding this is the last update
Shit gameplay
Switch actually got some games.
ghahah arms is dead it got no LEGS!
>tfw lost about 10 matches to someone who barely started playing 3 hours ago
How do I recover from this shame?
every character being able to use any arms they want. ironically, freedom of choice killed a lot of the variety in loadouts.
although honestly for most people, the game was just to fill the time until splatoon dropped.
Arms is fun to play but boring to watch. That's all.
Not as charming or easy to get into as Splatoon, shares a lot of the same market as a new IP. Also lacking in content and variety.
Tried too hard to be the next Splatoon. It died when Splatoon 2 came out.
sometimes experimental games fail
as long as they get made, that's all that matters
once they stop, it means innovation is dead
I would've liked a story mode. Even if it was just "fight 3 matches, here are some drawn pictures developing each character's backstory a bit, fight 3 more matches". They have all these nice pieces of art on the Twitter, but they should be in-game.
I traded it in.
