What are some good strategy games about the American Civil War? How about the Indian wars right after? I'm playing Ultimate General:Civil War and I know you can play through the ACW in Victoria 2 but I'm looking for something other than Sid Meier's Gettysburg. A multiplayer game would be great as well.

Suprisingly there isnt many american civil war games coming out these days. I would like more, the ww2 setting is really overdone.

Sid Meiers Antietam and Civil War II are good.

Honestly you'd think there would be more Civil War games so liberals can antagonize the confederates even more, but no.
Seems like an untapped market.

I dont know about strategy games, but the history channel civil war games are interesting, and darkest of days is pretty good if you like fps.
theres just not enough games with musket era weapons honestly.

Antietam do anything noteworthy to make it worth playing over Ultimate General?

Redneck racists are too poor and stupid to play games

The History Channel made a Civil War game. It was shit though

I hope you've all seen Ken Burns' Civil War.

thats the thing I find interesting about the civil war. Not about the blacks really since they were a non entity at the time but the fact that the anglos used tons of german mercs, and the french supported the anglo colonists against the british. the revolutionary era was the peak of proxy wars.

North and South mod for M&B was fun. I always ended up playing union Zouaves because CSA was always full.

No, Ultimate General is pretty much the apex of American Civil War games.

But i forgot, War of Rights. Its not out yet, but its a US civil war fps.
You asked for strategy games but i thought i'd might as well show this.

think I'll check that out user. Im always scrounging for that era of warfare type of games.
there was this fps multiplayer mod I played a while ago that focused on revolutionary warfare and line combat. battlegrounds i think it was called. buggy as fuck but fun to play, had a huge guild that would organize line battles every weekend, was one of the foundin members even. wonder if they all still play it honestly.
