It's no masterpiece
It's no masterpiece
YOU WILL RETRACT THAT STATEMENT RIGHT NOW
I refuse to buy it because of the ugly woman on the cover
>want it but thinking of waiting until the last DLC is revealed because I'm afraid I'll not do another run after that
...
I disagree.
>nu xcoms
I don't understand why would anyone want to play this when OpenXcom exists.
Because people don't like 40 year old ASCII bullshit maybe
>>>/r_incel
Good taste
>tfw no ayy weeb gf
>the last DLC
there's more? wtf? They just brought out collection tho.
maybe I'll wait on buying it.
dude
this is how I feel right now too
Post your mission photos.
For someone who has never played an RTS before, which XCOM game is the best?
J U S T
He was my best soldier. Major at the time, avenger defense. Had to stay behind because he was much further back and allow everyone else to board back.
I'm peeved that it killed long war. I don't agree with all of the devs adaptations.
I really wish it had a better mod portal though. It's a chore to browse through everything to find something.
You're thinking of TBS lad
XCOM is turn-based
I've yet to have avenger defence in WotC. Is it more towards the end?
X-COM: Apocalypseis the only RTS x-com
all others are turn-based
Agreed.
Now, if only they had something cute to put on the cover instead...
>people say the game is bullshit
I bet those people never used electro flares or smoke grenades.
Not about 2 but 1. After hearing Sup Forums saying it was a good game I gave it a shot and it's boring as fuck. No story and boring gameplay. Does 2 rectify this? The setting and story could be interesting but they do noting to build upon it.
Is that a dog with a flame thrower...?
Just noticed there's another SPARK in the background of this one. Must be a glitch or the corpse of an enemy.
There appeared a slot for DLC few months ago in steam data whatchamacallit
>no story
Your fighting an alien invasion and there's cutscenes that progress the plot I don't understand how you think there's no story. There's limited main characters I suppose such as Bradford and the engineer/scientist but one of the main features of the game is creating your own soldiers so you grow an attachment to them.
I suppose if you don't have much of an imagination you wouldn't enjoy the game as well.
they may be ugly to you but to us yummy
>No story
yea, if you want to watch a movie the ps4 might be for you
meant for that faggot
>that ending
Oh no, people now know the evil things we do... now we are forced to surrender... right..?
it is implied that most of the advent troops became free, only ayys are hostiles too bad a gatekeeper can commit genocide all by itself
Well, you are supposed to KILL her.
Not a masterpiece indeed, but it's still good and all in all very pleasant to play.
>but it's still good
Its just better than the first one
And thats not much to say.
Why not just open black hole n fuck up the Solar System ?
I'll post a few posters.
stand proud
Ok guys, hear me out here. I have a better idea where X-Com should go from here:
It's called "X-Mom", a tighter, more focused version of X-Com
Story: First contact has happened and an extraterrestrial alien force has started invading the Earth. All over the world, the invading aliens are abducting mothers but no one knows what for. You are a prodigy recruit of X-Mom, becoming an officer at a young age and heading up your own branch located in your home city. You must lead your forces and neutralize the portion of the invading force attacking your city and prevent the mothers in your city from being abducted.
Gameplay: Grid-based tactical combat with base and unit management
- Semi-linear campaign divided into story missions and free missions.
--- completing a story mission moves the story and game time forward and unlocks the next story mission as well unlocking free missions using the completed map
--- at certain points in the game you are given a choice which changes the story's route
--- free missions allow you to train your units and gather materials and weapons as well as earn funds
--- free missions are randomized from a pool of objectives and enemy setups
- Base management allows you to build different facilities in order to realize your very own custom X-Mom base
--- assign units to man the different facilities you build, which affects the productivity of those facilities
--- different facilities gives you access to different benefits (ex. Science facilitiy allows you to research and develop new weapons and technology)
- Unit management allows you to manage the stats, abilities, and equipment of your units
--- Units are assigned 1 of several possible roles: Tech, Heavy, Assault, Recon, Engineer
--- The roles of all the units you start with and recruit later in the game cannot be changed, but they can be upgraded to better roles
--- You can also improve your relationship with your units to improve their performance in the game

Forgot pic
--- All your units in the game are unique. Therefore, if a unit dies in a mission, they are gone permanently for that playthrough. So make sure to save.
- Combat is tactical turn-based
--- you move your units within the mission map while trying to complete the objective and defeating enemies
--- defeating enemies grants your units XP and can reward you with weapons or materials dropped by the enemy unit
- Erotic Scenes: There are 3 main types of erotic scenes in the game
Combat scenes - happens during missions when:
--- you personally defeat a particular alien unit
--- a particular alien unit defeats you or one of your units
Non-Combat scenes - happens outside of missions when:
--- you trigger it via unit management
--- you trigger it via base management
Event scenes - happens depending on certain conditions:
--- when any mother is successfully abducted
--- when you reach certain points in the story
--- when you successfully complete certain missions
The character in the game you start with are: (names TBD)
Mom - the only unit in the game aside from yourself that you can pick the role of at the start of the game
Aunt 1 - Heavy Weapons unit
Aunt 2 - Tech unit
Aunt 3 - Engineer unit
Aunt 4 - Assault unit
Aunt 5 - Recon unit
Aunt 6 - scientist, heads your Science division
The characters you will or might meet later in the game:
Aunt 7 - Heavy Weapons unit 2
Aunt 8 - Tech unit 2
Aunt 9 - Engineer unit 2
Aunt 10 - Assault unit 2
Aunt 11 - Recon unit 2
Aunt 12 - Secret
Aunt 13 - Secret
Secret - Secret
Again, all these characters are unique with their own stories, characteristics, personalities, and events

Game Over:
This can happen if certain things happen:
- You lose too many units and can no longer start a mission. You need to deploy at least 3 units to start a mission.
- Too many moms are abducted from your city
- Run out of global game time without finishing the last story mission
- Failing certain story missions result in an automatic game over
This is probably a difficult game concept to pull-off properly and successfully, but like me, it is obvious to anyone that the potential of this game concept WILL result in one of the best games ever created
3/3.
