That series is now infested by shitty rewrites instead of a actual translation. It's dead to me.

Did Ziplash reallly do any worse than the other entries?

>The series is now what it always was

really maeks u think

chibi-robo was already dead after the first game, because none of the sequels were similar.
What happened to Skip ltd?

Oh hi, I'm the best game on the DS you've never played.

Attached: okaeritibirobos.jpg (200x200, 11K)

This one is
Imo is actually better than the gc one.

>Chibi-robo will never get a true sequel because of failed, shitty gimick spinoffs and a "Walmart exclusive" cash-grab DS game
>Nintendo will waste time and money making fucking Toad games no one asked for
it hurts to live

Attached: vomit.jpg (900x675, 69K)

but I have played it, I remember reading it famitsu and getting very excited for it

>games sold like trash domestically in Japan and internationally
>tried to dip into another crowd to get into Chibi Robo with Zip Lash
>even threw in an Amiibo for scalpers to buy
>nobody bothered

>blaming Tanabe for shit you didnt care about

Attached: IMG_20180325_075512.jpg (900x900, 20K)

It already did get a true sequel, it was just never localized.

Why do people act like they never gave Chibi-Robo a chance? They clearly did, people just didn't want it.

This .
It had an addicting and fun game loop that really kept you on your toes. Not only did you need to worry about your own watts, but the entire house's aswell. You always needed to make sure you were doing something worth while. Story was interesting, and character moments were wonderful.

Friendly reminder to non-Americucks that you can easily get Zip-Lash + Amiibo bundle for around £15 or less. Might as well get that amiibo for the eventual Switch sequel that will be announced at E3 or just to have an official figure since we both know that that'll never fucking happen.

Redpill me on this game. I remember seeing the original for GC back in the day and thought it gave a Pikmin vibe (due to being small in the "regular" size world) but not interesting enough to buy it.

I've looked up the DS games as they came out but they seemed like generic platformers so I passed.

Did it ever get a fan translation?
I really enjoyed playing Park Patrol.

yes

Nice.

>series dies because you pirated it

>series is revived because people bought it
>sequel becomes an exclusive on another platform
well fuck you too then

Clearly you aren't intelligent enough for this series if you think the DS games were platformers

Gc one is an intesting puzzleish platformer where you can't jump. Fun characters is a plus, the game is basically about trying to accomplish as much as you can without dying or the day ending.

Basically, if you like climbing to the very top of things in games, and the sidequests in majoras mask, you'll like this game. Also clean sweep on the DS is very good.

Feels good to be bad

It's a very Nintendo game in that it's bright and cheery and has a warm, inviting premise that involves children's toys coming to life and having their own lives once the humans go to bed, and goofier things like aliens and other stuff, and then it just hits you with some weird seriousness like the mom and dad's marriage straining under the dad losing his job and even bringing up the topic of divorce.

Why would I have wanted the series to live when they dropped everything good about the first game for every release after? If anything, I'm glad it's dead.

>what is Valkyria Chronicles

Not entirely true

>it has different gameplay therefore it's a spinoff

Attached: 1497177254047.jpg (1080x1349, 73K)

What even is Chibi Robo? It looks like Kirby in 3D but even more boring than Kirby.

Eh, this makes me realize some things are better dead
Maybe then we would've gotten some more Advance Wars

Zip Lash was very clearly a spin-off

it's a platformer were you clean and solve emotional problems of toys and save a failing marriage

It's actually an Adventure game, the talk-to-NPC Puzzle-Solving type, it was just framed as a 3D platformer and many puzzles revolved around the environment.

>localization in awakening
>"Let's take the characters unpopular in japan and give them more personality"
>localization in fates
>"Make it all quirkier lol we want people to make memes out of this"

It's not a platformer. How are so many of you THIS retarded?

>game saves an entire sub-genre from irrelevance and starts the only a series of genuinely RPG series for Nintendo in recent years.

Attached: Xenoblade-Chronicles_WII_US_ESRB-fin(2).jpg (1000x1409, 1.05M)

>most of the game is climbing shit
>implying that's not playforming

It is tho.

Being dead doesn’t mean Sakurai won’t choose you for Smash which can help give you a new game

Just leave

>Series dies because the devs FUCKING HATE YOU

YOU HAVE THE GREATEST GAME OF ALL TIME AND YOU KEEP FUCKING MAKING SHIT INSTEAD IM SO FUCKING MAD FUCK

Attached: 250px-PMTTYD.jpg (250x349, 34K)

No, the series died because Nintendo thought having 2 different Mario RPG series was too confusing for consumers

your opinion isn't law

That's the very definition of a spinoff.

a spinoff to what? there isn't even a main series
sure the DS game has similar gameplay, but nothing from the title or story suggests it's any more of a direct sequel than the others

do you consider jak II a spinoff too?

Attached: 1507961392795.png (674x1024, 790K)

Uhm, actually it's not my opinion sweetie

What a weak argument

You've forgotten how the controls worked, haven't you? Chibi-Robo was annoying when you had to work around camera angles and high places, and there were lots of areas where you had to make precise hovers and stuff to reach the other areas. It's totally a platformer, among other genres.

So I guess you don't remember those parts where you go PLATFORM to PLATFORM using the propeller.

Not confusing, more so they felt it was redundant to have two series that did the same thing. That is, being RPGs with context sensitive button inputs serving as the battle system with a zany, quirky, comedic story underpinning it.

They are literally the same game with different graphical style. Which is why Paper Jam was made.

Nintendo. The first one was poorly marketed in the biggest market of not Japan and they didn't really understand because pre-normienet so they changed it up for Park Patrol. Park Patrol was a WALMART EXCLUSIVE at launch. Third game was Japan only. The Wiiplay port of the first one was Japan only. So then they went to dead with shitty photo finder and zip lash.

Nintendo killed Cheebo.

Do you still wanna another AW after awakening, you are asking being monkey paw'd

proof me wrong then

>"Let's take the characters unpopular in japan and give them more personality"
>"Make it all quirkier lol we want people to make memes out of this"
If you have any principles about "censorship" and faithful translations these should be both wrong to you

>series dies because both people running it, including its creator, suddenly turn into hacks
>against all odds, the creator redeems himself along with the devs who killed Castlevania
What a ride.

Hmmmmmmmmmm... Kensuke Tanabe was involved in all three of these properties' demises..... HMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMM

Attached: 1522003069486.jpg (700x800, 217K)

>principles about "censorship"
is the board for you aspie

>series dies because of soy politics

>series dies because the dev crew doesn't want to try to surpass perfection

Attached: F-zero-gx.jpg (320x448, 58K)

what went wrong?

Attached: Mrssanderson.jpg (356x640, 22K)

As much as I miss the series, I can't blame them. They should just push GX HD out.

Actually a legitimate point

>You didn't buy this shit so no more Chibi!

I will end whoever has fucking mindset. You're LESS likely to buy it because people don't want to be forced to get they know they don't have interest in. Fuck Tanabe.

I'm STILL butthurt

>ywn see a high-definition, high energy intro to a new F-Zero game with a remaster of this youtube.com/watch?v=E2qiFZOTDoc playing

>Always wanted to play chibi robo
>First game was low production and impossible to find after launch
>Hoping they would make a sequel or at least port the first game.
>Made some low effort 2D side scroller instead.

Maybe if Nintendo didn't treat the series like shit it wouldn't have died.

Married a weeb

Posting just to say the original GameCube ChibiRobo is one of my favourite games of all time. Can't recommend enough.

I saw dozens of copies of the 3DS spin off at Toys R Us, when I went to see the liquidation sale.

This is one of the rare games where I think people would actually be perfectly happy with a remaster that does nothing but update the graphics and add online play. Maybe make the AX courses easier to unlock, seeing as 95% of players probably never experienced that content in the original.
