How do you hit the assign button?

This would actually fix the "I want to control my character with more precision while not having shit aim" problem.

I keep forgetting to try this. ezpz to set up, right?

does it actually work, or are you just meming.

yep
still needs joytokey or whatever but yeah

instead of a regular mouse which would hinder couch gaming a trackball would be better

What don't you get

Stick is superior for movement
Mouse is superior for aim

Only downside is the relatively limited number of buttons within quick reach

Needs more shoulder buttons. How the fuck are you expected to used the Dpad fluidly without a second grip to stabalize the controller? It's a retarded design. You're better off using a flight stick.

>Only downside is the relatively limited number of buttons within quick reach
I'm the guy with the switch/mouse thing and I can confirm. I've been thinking of getting one of those mice with 54,235,342,626 buttons on the side.

LOL! Try playing Quake 3 with that and see how far you get.

>Hmm, I need to bind 8 weapons, crouch, and jump atleast.

This looks kind of awkward to hold with only my left hand. Like it is too long, I'd have to use my fingers to hold it up.
Actually, why the fuck is the touch pad even there.
Also why would you want a PlayStation controller with a much shittier kind of dpad?
This is a mess.

You don't need a controller sawn in half, you can just use like a dualshock 3 or whatever and rebind your movement to that.

Perfect for fighting games.

How do you hold the controller part?

Just get one of these and have the best of both worlds

>joycon
>instead of PS Move nunchuck

What the fuck is that? I want it.

Logitech G13. I use it with the G19 KB and G502 Mouse

>Use 5 fingers
vs
>Use thumb and index
Hmmm

Step aside plebs.

One of my biggest problems with the steam controller is that a lot of games don't support both controller and mouse input at the same time. It seems like that would ruin everything in this thread too.

Is that you, Woolie?

How does the analogue stick work? Do you still need joytkey?

>that mouse
My nigga

>owns a pc and a switch
KYS faggot terrible combination an abomination of electronics.

On the G13 you can assign keyboard or joypad inputs to the stick in the logitech software. Either it functions as a full precision joystick or you can just map WASD to it if a game doesn't support joypad + mouse. Only normal precision, but still comfy.

I'm an idort though. Also /k/ and /n/.

What do you guys use for bluetooth to your PCs? Are those cheap little USB plugs worth it?

I'm pretty sure about 8/10 Switch possessors on this board are mainly PC users. I mean after the double fuck up Wii / Wii U, I don't think the core Nintendo fanboys could just survive on Nintendo releases. So most of them turned to PC at some point.

Sounds like I'll have to get me one then. Thanks!

Now post something you can actually buy

Todays consoles are just locked up PCs bro, even more so last gens.

You're welcome! I think razer has something similar called the Orbweaver. Didn't try it, but maybe it's good to look that one up, too

This is unironically how I play certain third person shooters
I played the 2 new Tomb Raiders by having my left hand on the controller for the movement and my right hand on the moues for aiming. Can't stand aiming with a stick.

That sucks lol

Also pic kinda unrelated I guess I forgot the text at the end and thought she just does the fingerguns oops

I made the mistake of getting one of these. They're shit for consoles. For PC, I don't see the point.

>Still need joy to key

Then the analog is worthless.

That limits the hell out of what you can do, unless you're playing game that only requires moving and jumping.

No limitation is greater than having to aim with filthy sticks.

Track balls are pretty good for this kind of issue. Not quite the precision of a mouse, but its comparable.

No this is definitely a worse limitation, you have 3 buttons total to work with. You won't be able to play any modern game with this control scheme.

I've always wanted to try one of these but I'm worried I'll end up hating it and then having this goofy looking thing sitting on my desk being used as a $70 paperweight.

I had a similar idea. I was gonna try to get a flight stick to work for movement, and mouse for aim. Never got around to it though. In theory, it would be ideal.

Attached: analog stick vs keyboard and d-pad.png (954x760, 31K)

controller would be awkward to hold
with only one hand, center mass should be where the palm is

Analog input is always sending data, if you want instant movement set the deadzone to 0 and the character will move instantly.

Don't you have money-back guarantee for 30 days or something like that? Got mine from amazon

Depends what game you are playing. Keyboard are garbage for any diagonal movement that isn't a 45 degree. You can't play Nex Machina with that crap.

People who think there is such a thing as an input devize that is ideal for all types of games are fucking retards. There's even games where both a controller and a keyboard are bad and you need a flight stick.

modify your deadzone and input areas retard

tldr
can't adad strafe

PC gets anything worth having on xbox or playstation and more, nintendo has nothing on PC. Or are you just baiting

strawman

My best friend

Get one of these puppies: amazon.com/Mayflash-Nintendo-Magic-NS-Wireless-Controller-Windows/dp/B07413R4HS

You can link up a Joycon to your PC with Xinput compatibility and everything. You just plug the adapter in, set it to XINPUT and pair the controller. Now you have a Joycon on your PC that your computer will see as an Xbox controller.

It works for a bunch of other wireless controllers, too.

how would you even accurately press these buttons your fingers would have to be small as shit

Nice!
