Well you see, Sora went in search of Riku and ended up in the Land of Departure AKA Castle Oblivion which is where Ventus' body is sealed away, and organisation 13 were trying to get Sora to find Ventus' body, and in doing so Kairi's Nobody who was created via Sora acting as a prism for her creation (because she's a princess of light so obviously can't make nobodies) fucked with Sora's memories, but during this Marluxia was planning to betray the organisation, but then Axel stopped him but in doing so ended up helping Namine because Roxas, which is Sora's nobody created via Ventus, was his friend. Also Nobodies have hearts, Zexion made a robot Riku and a robot Sora made of Sora memories which everyone forgot about but is still inside Sora's heart, and also Xehanort is trying to time travel back to the past to bring his past selves into the future (which he does by inserting himself into other characters and also himself) to the future to fight the 7 lights in order to summon KINGDOM HEARTS.

All three, when brought together, forms a person. But when seperated, they can form their own beings if they're strong enough. Heartless are manifested from Hearts; Nobodies are formed from the Mind and Bodies left behind when someone becomes a Heartless.
Nobodies think and act like humans, and can probably even feel emotions, especially ones that are linked to more primal instincts like rage, fear or confusion. These emotions can even slowly pool into actual hearts, creating a whole new person like Roxas or Xion. However, they feel excessively hollow, and have a sort of general dull feeling in them, and a drive to restore their hearts.
Things like Dream Eaters and Lingering will represent the remains of the mind/will power left. They are almost like robots, just following their programming.

Ventus was first but he got half his heart taken out (that half of his heart eventually became another person called vanitas) and Sora gave him half his heart (but didn't actually split his own heart) so Ventus became whole again but because his whole is actually part Sora, the remains of his other half Vanitas looks like Sora. After Ventus fell asleep and dissapeared. Sora's nobody, Roxas, looks like Ventus who is part of Sora.

You never actually go outside of Daybreak Town in KHUX, all the worlds are just projections of past and future events, which is how they get away with letting you play through disney worlds even though the events from those disney worlds are supposed to happen in BBS.

No, they were probably made human by Xemnas/Xehanort. Axel said explicitly that he doesn't want to be turned into a Dusk by Xemnas, if he can turn them into Dusks it's only logical that he also created them from Dusks. Also as we learned in BBS the members of the organisation aren't members because they are the strongest but because Xehanort knew them and wanted to use them as his clones (DDD).
