This game whipped my ass difficulty wise. I only come to find out that some portions of the game I wasn't meant to complete until I had upgraded my HP/Nail damage more. I still haven't beaten the "true" ending. The final boss was really something too. The music, atmosphere. The entire thing really had a Dark Souls Lord Gwynn vibe.

It's one of the best metroidvanias. Agreed. Wouldnt say it's literally perfect though. Getting 106% can be a bit tedious, but I enjoyed my time backtracking around. Learning to navigate quickly through old areas is entertaining.
