ITT: Shitty game mechanics / design choices
>enemies are immune to certain damage
>your build does said damage
>no way to respec
>beats easy ass boss by spamming
>i eat a shit sandwich in the cutscene anyway
>the boss has boss tells or warning of his ultimate move
>you learn by dying and just beat the boss easily the second time
>arcade game in mame
>load it up with credits
>die
>have to start entire game over
>endgame builds revolve around unique items
>items can drop from any enemy but the chances are ridiculously small, ditto for currency
>devs don't want to add an auction house because muh random chance
>but open up the api for shady third party auction house sites
Been playing some Diablo 2 sorcerer huh OP?
Path of Exile, yes?
>game floods you with a bunch of mediocre weapons
>there's a weapon limit
just reached the weapons cap in DW8, I better not have to go through this shit and remove them manually
>character has buff removal as one of its strong points
>boss has buffs that cant be removed
FUCKING GRAND ORDER FUCK OFF
>random shit one shots you
>no way to know what the fuck happened because game has no combat log
RPGs with mechanics like that are the fucking worst
>Make a game about melee combat and style points.
>Enemies are just retarded sandbags that lumber around waiting to be launched.
>boss gimmick is that it removes a game mechanic while you fight it
>Boss battle
>Boss is invincible and is supposed to kill you
>However, if you die before a certain amount of turns, it's game over
Near Tomato?
>game is about exploring
>nothing interesting around to find
Path of Exile is my favorite game ever made but this shit just kills me.
Why can't ONE fucking loot based grindan game actually be based on random loot drops? Why can't the best items in the game just be really fucking good rare items instead of it always having to be muh unqiues with special powers/set items/runewords depending on the game?
Really butthurt.
>skyward sword.
>boss has phases at 75%, 50%, 25%
>phases are just pointless adds while the boss is immune
dmc
>RPG
>you're not intended to control your party members directly
Seriously who the FUCK thought gambits were a good idea
I never played it so I could be incorrect here, but wasn't there a build in Diablo 3 based on that exact concept?
while it still kinda apply, near tomato isn't "about melee combat and style point" at all
>The principality of EOPs
90% of nier's enemy cant even be launched and ruins your combos
How were you supposed to get past Act 4 as a Fire Sorceress anyway?
