I KNOW YOU LOVE ME
I WANT TO WAD YOU UP INTO MY LIFE

:,)

KATAMARI DAMASHIIII

Katamari has the best soundtrack of any series.
That being said, the series should have died after We

OHHHHHH LONE~LY ROLLING STAAAAAAR

Wonderful, lovely game. Tons of fun, one of the GOAT soundtracks, it was just such a breath of fresh air and originality when I first played it when it came out. I never really cared for any of the sequels that much though.

Why the fuck aren't they making these anymore

We

lonely rolling star and baby universe in the seque are GOAT

because they kept releasing shitty ones that kept flopping hard

Never played the first one.
I lost my copy of Forever.
wish there was a new game coming out.

It's a good argument for why devs should step away from violence. Violence doesn't lend itself to creativity

I always describe Katamari as the most interesting game about destroying the world.
There's even a knock off game on steam called The Wonderful End of the World.

But Katamari is explicitly not about destroying anything. They got out of their way to directly say that being rolled up by a Katamari feels fucking great and that nobody rolled up is ever hurt.
Also, TWEOTW wasn't about destroying the world either, I don't think. I swear it was about a doll thing trying to gather as much of earth as it could BEFORE the end of the world.

PC port when?

It's a must play (the first one)

It didn't come out in the EU

i'm sorry lad

This song is a little depressing.

Not played it, anybody want to explain its appeal? I like that it's an interesting concept, but is it really just rolling around collecting more and more stuff? Is there more to it than that?

It's very replayable, great soundtrack, and it's got a ton of charm and heart. Sounds really simple but it's definitely one of the funnest games I've played

Rolling up cities and shit makes you feel god

The size curve of the levels in the game is ideal, first stage you're 1cm big, rolling up trash in someone's 1 bedroom apartment, in the final stage you grow to incomprehendable sizes and roll up galaxies

fav game good shit play it

Good soundtrack, good visuals, god-tier soundtrack, it's just a prime example of a simple concept with an execution so good that it just never gets old.

But user, they released a mobile katamari with gacha!

Playing We

in my personal top 10 of all time. favorite playstation game besides bloodborne

But Katamari is a game a out terrorism

>but is it really just rolling around collecting more and more stuff?

The first game is 50% "get as big as possible" stages, and 50% gimmick levels like only collecting a certain type of object or losing your run if you collect a specific thing, etc. The second game takes it in more varied directions with shorter and gimmickier levels, but about 25% of the levels are still the classic "get as big as possible" levels like in the first game. But in all cases, the core gameplay is the same every time and it always feels fun and satisfying. Can't speak for any of the other games in the series though, since I've only played the first two games, but seriously just give them a go, there's a reason why they show up in so many peoples' 3x3s.

PCSX2

LETS ROLL UP TO BEEEE
A SINGLE STAR
IN THE SKKYYYY

But terrorism on a planetary scale is okay if it restores order on a galactic scale.

the creator didn't want to make them anymore after We

Amazing soundtracks
Great artstyle
The progression and pacing is amazing. It knew what it is, so despite having a repetitive gameplay it's amazingly exciting to play because it keeps ramping up shit you can roll over. Not to mention, the game is short and never overstay its welcome.
At the very core, it's unique and there's no game like this.
Very funny at times, too

There you go. It's a perfect game.

beatbox katamari is the best theme
katamari on the swing in a close second

That's what most terrorist say

CMOOOOON EVREYBODY

WOOOOOO

That didn't stop them from dumping out 5 or 6 more without his involvement. In fact, Keita didn't even want there to be a sequel to the original. He only stayed on board for that one because Namco outright told him that they were going to make it whether he was involved or not, but after that one he quit for real. Even if a creator leaves, the company that owns his creation is free to churn out game after game at their own leisure, or sit on the IP for years and do absolutely nothing with it even though the cult following screams and throws money at their computer screens for a proper revival.

He was also opposed to having power ups in the game, a feature that is in Forever.
Forever is a good game though.

This. Great fucking song.

Lonely Rolling Star is the best song in the game.

katamari is strangely romantic at times.

Did anyone else order this before it sold out?

Attached: Katamari_OST_Vinyl.jpg (1024x1024, 198K)

Pretty much every song from the first game has really sexual undertones according to this:

forum.quartertothree.com/t/katamari-damacy-song-lyrics/18236

...Except Cherry Blossom Color Season, which is just kinda sad and wistful. Not really sure if any of the other games follow suit though.

This sold out? Damn.

thanks for sharing user, im going to have to read through that next time i listen to the katamari soundtrack.

the vinyl sold out in a couple of hours, sadly. hopefully that motivates them to restock, but it rarely seems to work out that way.

I dreamed of being big and strong
Of having a power that could level everything
But that's a dream for the weak
I no longer have need for such things
I don't, no I don't need that anymore

I want a PS4 port. How hard could it be?

How do I get good?

I want a troll katamari vr game where you're stuck looking at the katamari in front of you and can't see shit past it, so the only way to know where anything is is to physically look at what's behind you.

UH
CHECK IT OUT
