It was a fantastic fucking game.
absolutely
great with surround sound, you can hear exactly where the alien is in the vents
Yes, to a point. It is too long, overstays its welcome and refuses to end when it logically should have. Because of that, it starts to wear pretty thin and gets frustrating toward the end. I still enjoyed it though.
Would have been better if you played as a dude.
Would have been better if there weren't weapons, crazy out of place android mannequins, and only one alien. Flamethrower ruined the last half of the game, and the mannequin androids were just ridiculous. Assholes trying to survive were fine, but the inclusion of projectile weapons was unnecessary.
In an odd way, I thought the length was perfect for the tone. It ended up becoming a harrowing slog, but that was probably exactly what Amanda felt. Like, "not this shit again, fuck, just die already".
Door opening simulator
No, even pleb fucks recognise how much of a boring tedious pile of shit it is

quick rundown?
Yes, it was very good. I played through the main campaign twice and enjoyed it more than other out that year.
I would really look forward to a sequel, but it probably won't happen.
It has a neat bonus expansion when you play through the first movie, but I found it less fun to play than the main game.
That is how I felt playing it as well.
>playing it twice
but why? how much does it change on the higest difficulty setting?
Also iirc the game sold well for a sequel.
When you play on hard you have to employ pretty much all the distraction options you have available to progress. On easier modes you can get away with just being sneaky in many parts. Combat also gets impossible on high difficulty.
2 guys with bad taste in games.

>posts the RLM video
every single time
It was a fantastic 7 hr game, then it keeps going...
criticisms are fair and they still heap too much praise and give it a 5.9 when it's really a 2
they also complain about the difficulty but there really isn't any, it's just how long your patience with the game lasts.
looks and sounds great, everything else is bad
well they aren't wrong.
Im replaying it in VR and its fucking awesome.
>What did he mean by this
>when it's really a 2
explain
This actually did survival horror right. For fucking once.
It's a well below average game that looks pretty so 2/10
alien isolation dicksuckers can't handle any criticism of the game though.
The game recommends you play on hard when you start a new game. I chose hard when I first played but the game was still pretty easy
>realize you can kill the androids
>game suddenly throws advanced versions of these
wew
I kept getting caught by the xeno. I was bothered.
Very much so. Glad something positive has been done with the alien. Been pretty barren.

Okay I finished the review and he's really fucking bad at the game goddamn
It's not too long, it just has pacing issues. The boring android-only section immediately after the climactic lab part being the most obvious example.
