Chykka Larva on front page.
Chykka Larva on front page
Thank you
looks as if it's supposed to be there. i don't like it
This is a good post.
This is the quality shit I needed.
What does a Chaika larva look like?
based
Cykka Larva's theme is underrated
youtu.be
Nice one OP
newfriends
lol
chaika on the front page faggot
It's just a remix of the Parasite Queen
and? Its a good remix
Chykka looks like a dick
And is so fucking good of course.
Shit I was thinking of the Amorbis theme, sorry
CHYKKA BLYAT
XD
you are what you eat
I don't remember the game looking that ugly for a nintendo gamecube but every bossfight was unique and pretty by itself.
Why is my shit thread still up? I made it two hours ago and it was on page 9 when I closed the tab.
Because is a quality thread of course!
Post metroid prime soundtracks.
Never got to play prime 3 because it was on Wii instead of gamecube how was it? what was it about?
youtube.com
>tfw the full version wasn't in the NA release
woah dark samus fan art hold the fuck up
Im gonna need the full pic
It was okay. When it came out it was pretty amazing to control Samus with the wiimote. Aiming was a lot easier and faster, which is probably also why the game is a lot more action oriented this time around. There are a lot more enemies that move around a lot.
In hindsight, I think it's the weakest Prime game, but it's still a pretty good game overall.
I never played the metroid prime 2 and should really replay the other 2 it's been long since I played them.
This is the only time that this shit meme got me to smirk,
By weakest you also mean they focused 100% on combat with endless enemies that respawn forever and all the maps are small right?
It was good if you don't mind motion controls but it was kinda easy. It's like conclusion to the trilogy where you finally stop dark samus what not. You go to a few different planets instead of being on one.
youtube.com
Remember Dark Samus?
She's out for vengeance this time and she wants to corrupt EVERYONE
I like it more than Prime2
Not found.
prime 3 was held back by having to appeal to the wii crowd. The start is way more guided with way more NPCs, the game is generally more linear, hyper mode is broken making the game too easy, and the aurora's still tell you where to go sometimes even if you have hints off. While it's not as good as prime 1/2, it's still an excellent game. The controls it introduced are, to date, the best aiming in a first person console game (havn't tried gyro on d44m), there were some nice twists on old power ups like grapple beam, the music, enviornmental design, and lore were on point, and it tied up the phazon arc nicely. I honestly think if they didn't have to make the game around its audience, it could have been better than 1/2 as that's where all its problems are drawn from
Underrated boss and theme desu
there are lots of enemies because hypermode is ridiculous and disposes of even the strongest ones quickly
>small maps
While norion, valhalla, and phaaze were small, the other 3 planets were larger than the areas in prime 1/2 so I don't think the game is smaller overall
>return to that room when i was young for the first time
>suddenly the sun goes out and a lot of ghosts appears for the first time moving at random places and dissapearing left and right
That shit was too spooky i never returned to the places the Chozo ghosts re-spawn once i fully explored them.
Best boss theme youtube.com
Its because Metroid threads are always comfy
>Theres people on Sup Forums who fought the morph ball speed boss outside of morphball mode and had problems with it
How? is so fucking clear you are supposed to turn into MBM on this fight because the cage is in a circle and is small while the boss charge at you constantly and the camera is placed perfectly on the sky.
I haven't played the game in almost 9 years now, so my memory is a bit vague. I do remember there being a lot more action set-pieces and at least two sequences with infinitely spawning enemies, both featuring some kind of bomb.
The maps weren't really small, if I remember it right. They felt more or less equal in size to the first two games, but some of them, like Skytown, were really linear and boring to get around. Despite being visually amazing, you really only could go one way and the rollercoaster shooting galleries weren't a lot of fun after doing them so many times.
It was kind of like Magmoor Caverns being this long stretch consisting of one path, but at least it looked nice.
it's still hard as shit, it's only vulnerable to bombs during its rush phase for a very small windown and if you fuck up you get punished with high damage
Wait, what? That's why people had such a hard time? They didn't know you could bomb the ing while they were in puddle form?
I struggled with it for a long time, despite using morph ball. It was just a hard boss overall and having your energy constantly drain didn't help.
A bunch of Bounty hunters (Including you) are hired by the Federation to investigate a spate of strangely organized Pirate Attacks on their new computer network. Just as that happens a living meteor that can generate phazon is launch at the planet you're supposed to be protecting and Dark Samus shows up and "corrupts" the whole lot of you with Phazon poisoning. It all gets worse form there.
>just quickly roll to the sides
Thats how i fucking did it.
Now the grappling boss, thats the real boss i had trouble for many years.
Why is always the same plot to start a new game of metroid?
>just quickly roll to the sides
you can't ignore the rush phase, you have to get him in puddle phase ASAP or you take too much damage. Ever fight him on hard mode in the GC version?
That's the electric sheegoth-like thing in the room with those electric poles, right? That thing was pretty easy. Spider Ball Guardian was fucking annoying on GC.
What the hell are you talking about user? you can actually evade his attacks this is one of those odd boss battles i never lost once.
stop reminding me how fucking shit S2 was
i miss chaika
But they only got 2 seasons to wrap everything up is clear they were going to rush everything, be glad it never got cancelled.
youtu.be
Still the best Ridley theme
i would have rathered that then fucking little red riding chaika ending
not him but MP2 kind of crutches on remixes. Everything else is just ambience
But if it got cancelled then we would'nt have those awesome threads on the last week it aired,
One thing I never see anyone mention that is that a lot of metroid songs have a chorus
I dont know when it became a metroid thing but I love it
I had more trouble with this thing than I did the boost guardian.
Fuck the Spider Guardian. Piece of shit puzzle boss. I hate it.
>mfw Retro actually apologized for BG and SG
beating them was the peak of the game desu, every boss should have been that difficult
>Spider Guardian
>Looks more like an angry pillbug
Yeah I know it's because it has your Spider Ball but still
I just can't help but feel sadness towards these guys both during the intro where the ship is adly damaged and when the ship crashed leaving their bodies everywhere.
>Beating spider guardian as a kid took eons
>Beating him nowdays is piss easy
I was expecting some spooky shenanigans but the only thing in there are SPACE CRABS and some Aqua Troopers.
youtu.be
>Metroid Prime was 15 years ago
Get a feeling so complicated.
Dont be, they've probably been through worse.
To be fair they already went with the whole spooky angle with the Frigate at the beginning, they probably decided to go with another angle
That music tho
youtu.be
>those subtle details like the twisted expression on the Pirate's face
Early Retro were fucking masters of their craft. I never would have noticed that on my standard definition tube. I'm so anxious that the new game will be mediocre in comparison./spoiler]
Chykka Adult on the front page!
>nothing will ever take prime place on the FPS genre.
I want to say this is good but is not.
>tfw you're still finding out small details even after all these years
How did they do it
You just had to go and destroy my sides user.
I do love me a good skybox
oops didnt mean to reply
Prime still looks good as it is, but playing it on Dolphin it's easier to notice just how much effort went into crafting these environments.
I want a total remaster of these games, visuals only, like what Halo Anniversary did.
>visual only
gyro controls?
What i'm looking at?
The idea of a sentient planet that corrupts others as a mean of reproduction is kinda spooky, too bad they didnt do more with the idea
>Underwater Frigate Reactor Core - Metroid Prime Music
Holy shit, thank you user. I have been looking for this for quite sometime.
Looks like where you get the Gravity Suit in 1, or somewhere around there
The place where you get the gravity suit
Prime has so many neat, unnecessary details put in just for the love of it.
Fucking prime 2 made me hate the whole concept of corruption because the giant neon fortress is empty with barely any body on it yet is full of how the machines that got made to fight the dark beings got corrupted by the very same dark beings and started killing everyone left and right and how the scientists were trying their best to make new ways to survive and fight but everything gets corrupted in no time and turned in a new way to kill bird people.
prime 1 was a technical marvel at the time, makes me sad prime 4 won't match it because switch hardware
I don't even understand what the fuck you are saying right now.
Based
user is clearly starting to suffer from Phazon Madness
Its only a matter of time before we are all corrupted
>Flaahgra's full theme becomes a rap beat
Was Flaahgra black?
It ain't easy on hypermode difficulty in the Wii version. That thing took me literally 26 minutes to beat. I timed it
Is there a good video with no facecamfaggotry showing how to kill this boss in the fastest way? I wanna know if im wrong or right.
What is this?
It's a fucking ice cavern. How is this confusing you?
Judging by the filename Im gonna say it's Phendrana's Edge
Sorry didn't see the picture after it. I was trying to place where I'd seen it from.
do you have one for Elysium, user?
