Yeah, I love Metroid, but that won't happen. I do have faith that after how Nintendo transformed Mario with Odyssey and Zelda with BOTW, that we will get a solid Metroid FPS that might be even less linear than the already pretty open Prime games.

They saw the awful reaction to Federation Force and decided to make a 4th "Prime" game to make gullible fans happy. This wasn't made because someone had a great vision for the next installment in the Prime series, it's being made because Nintendo wanted some cheap E3 hype (no trailer, no gameplay, literally a 4 onscreen).

I won't say it's shit until we see more, but I've no reason to think it'll be better than Other M at this point.

Got any sources on that? Of course not, you're simply speculating. After all, Sup Forums can't get enough of video game flops ever since TORtanic, so I can see how you're looking forward to this game failing, especially since the Metroid fanbase has been butthurt ever since Other M.

Also, Tanabe wanted to make Prime 4 for years now. Maybe that creative spark is coming from him? After all, he tried to ressurect Prime with Fed Forde. Despite this game being a failure, he certainly wanted Prime back on the menu, boys.

To be fair, can things get worse than Other M? I'd posit that, specifically because we've seen nothing, we can assume it's better than Other M, it'll only be worse than Other M in my mind when I see some gameplay with a metric fuckton of cutscenes shoved in everywhere.

the prime games only got worse as retro kept making them, i think its fine that a new team takes up the torch and tries to make it more like prime 1 (according to the game document)

I agree with this, as they kept trying to raise the bar with each installment it just got further and further from what it was supposed to be. Prime 1 still holds up the best out of all of them, prime 3 is almost unplayable from a Metroid perspective.

Oh gosh, I hate these stupid fake reactions. I watched that hour-long 100 reactions collab video (because I am legitimately hyped) and 95% of them were so fake I cringed.

I'd say you're too young but considering how well I think Corruption effectively wrapped the subseries up ON TOP OF Retro not even returning for this entry, I'm a bit wary too.

From the very first 2 seconds I came to the conclusion that it was Star Fox or Metroid. I then remembered they had already given us a new Star Fox game, so I got hyped immediately before the screw attack even began to form.

Legendarii's reaction was legit and insane. That guy has been making videos about Metroid Prime 4 since the Wii days.
