First for TOP QUALITY ABS

i want a keyboard to rubber dome DEZ NUTS!

Sup niggas. Ordered some blank key caps for this bad boy

Are there any decent mechanical boards that are semi-quiet? My study is right next my main bedroom and i don't want to have the missus on my case.

Blue's are right up your alley.

Topres, any non-clicky Cherry switch given you don't bottom out too hard.

xd you got him good!
Look into matias quiets.

>All these mx switches
>No mx pink purple orange yellow light blue lime
Really?

my novatouch is probably louder than my MJ2 browns. both are running comparably shitty ABS. these stems are a pretty loose fit though, maybe real topres are quieter.

Friendly reminder to order a 0.99$ dank meme mousepad to have next to your dank meme keyboard

I read the pastebin
>Budget
300 NZD (220-250USD)
>continent
Oceania (nz)
>switch type
Browns, i guess? I want hard but silent
>layout
I honestly dont know, i gave a thinkpad x220 so if the layout for that is iso id like my new keyboard to also be that
>form factor
80% those navigational keys are useful to me
>backlight
No, i can handle backlit but rgb is a waste of money
>current keyboard
8 dollar dell keyboard, i hate it so much

mk disco?

Rgb no thanks

You can turn it off, its a good keyboard without the rgb.

Ill have a deeper look at it, cheers

Mk disco not available in nz

mechkb.com/kb-paradise-v80-tenkeyless-dual-led-mechanical-keyboard

TKL (no numpad, but has navigation keys), has green/red backlight, has Clears (heavy, solid bump with no noise), KBP is a decent enough keyboard brand.

Look through mechkb.com in general.

What's the best Topre board? 100/80%

since you aren't man enough for an hhkb, the next best thing is a silenced novatouch.

realforce is too hella ugly and nocaps

>155 NZD
>mxclear
Fucken sold thanks oce user

I'm buying a rosehill with blues in a couple of days for 35 quid. did I do ok?

don't say you bought the rgb80

Did anyone get originative carbon black?

P.S. They're taihao PBT without the shitty coating

I got auto corrected from rosewill
its a rk9000-v2

>black on choal

oh ok that's the good filco clone board, enjoy user

My first mechanical keyboard as well. Thanks user

Anyone in OCE know where I can get blank blank pbt keycaps (or quality ABS) for MX Stems?

I love memes.
>ABS
>filco
>coloured wasd
>red cable

>tenkeyless meme
>ninja keycaps meme
>mechanical keyboard

Iam full on meme, the only thing missing are rgb led's.

shiiiiit what a beast

>Budget
150€ (~170$), shipping included

>Location (continent at least)
Italy

>Preferred switch type
Red or black I guess, looking for the most silent but still satisfactory

>Layout
Italian preferably, or something I can switch later

>Form factor
TKL

>Backlight
It's ok if it's there but not needed

>Previous/current keyboards
Shit membrane 10 years old bluetooth keyboard

>What I'm looking at
Found the Corsair Gaming Strafe for 130€, it's the only Italian red switch I could find or should I get a custom one from wasdkeyboards.com?

>actually wanting a non-ANSI keyboard
please kill yourself

just get ducky

novatouch on eprice.it

thats me I can recommend the one I have
You can buy it with the italian layout from here:
keyboardco.com/keyboard/italian-filco-majestouch-2-tenkeyless-nkr-linear-action-keyboard.asp

They also sell coloured cables, like the one I have for the keyboard if you are into it.

They have the keyboard in black/brown/blue switches. There is also red, which I have but I suggest you get something else because reds are loud af.

>buying into novatouch bullshit and not getting the rapid-i
nigger, please

but the rapid-i doesnt come in gateron clear/zealios.... Therefore the novatouch is superior.

I will look into that
And that
Saw this but it's only available with brown switches and they sounded louder than reds in videos, correct me if I'm wrong.

browns are the only ones that are currently available actually. the blacks/blues are sold out.
imho most if not all switches are loud no matter what colour, the difference between them is very small. its a mechanical keyboard after all.

that's just the thing
it's twice the price and they claim "silent" operation when compared to the browns, for example

looked up a video and they sound exactly the fucking same

anyway, if anyone ever complains about keyboard noise they should drink chlorine, tnx

The NT has louder upstroke noise than other Topre boards, which can be silenced by modding.

>imho most if not all switches are loud no matter what colour, the difference between them is very small. its a mechanical keyboard after all.

I bought a like new one form a reviewer for $140 on classifieds. Threw some $20 vortex doubleshot PBTs and called it a day. I hardly ever use it though. I miss 55g Topre which is better. My DD is an ergo clear poker with custom aluminum case and whatever keycaps I choose for the week.

I bought a tester kit. Tried every single one and didnt notice much of a difference.
What else to you want me to do? They felt subjectively the same. There might be a slight difference in a few db if you actually test them who the fuck cares, they are still not 100% silent.

>mfw waiting for two new keycap sets in the mail

>All mechanical keyboards use Cherry switches
>Somehow unable to tell the difference between clicky and non-clicky switches

This is an enterprise called Recyclix.
It gives money to affiliate people who are in this enterprise.

They give 20€ at the inscription.

I don't know what this is, nor do I care, but it certainly doesn't belong here. Fuck off spambot.

It's me again, found the CM Storm Quick Fire XT with blue switches for 90€, should I get this or the Novatouch (110€)?

blue will annoy you in a week.

novatouch is topre, I could type all day on mine.

What's the difference? Sound, tactile feedback, pression?
I program and write a lot so I'm not sure what I need, I've been fine with my membrane keyboard and others laptop keyboards so I don't know what to expect sorry.

Anyone got the classic black and carbon black from originate?

I cannot tell the difference.. which one is more greyer?

>filco is a meme

kek

>abs is a meme
I think you mean pbt buddy

Best way I can describe a Novatouch switch is that it's like popping really soft bubble wrap. The tactile bump you feel is really soft and the force gradient is smooth throughout the key travel. All the resistance is at the top so not bottoming out is rather hard. The switch itself is padded by design so it makes a "thock" rather than a "clack".

Any recommendations? I I don't actually need one but today I tried the V 500 and now I want one so bad.

buy cherry g80

Are the switches in AEKII really good? And whats with the hype (on geekhack anyway) with blue alps?

dumb tripfag cancer

you're really improving the quality of this board you know

keep up the good work

...

>switches in AEKII
Those came with a few different types of switches mostly white and orange alps.
White alps (dampened and clicky) are pretty good, and salmon alps (tactile) are really good as well. All are better than any cherry switch imo.
Some came with Mitsumi, but I think those feel shitty.
Blue alps are hyped because they are rare. But they are smooth as fuck and have great tactile feedback and sound. I think they are a little over hyped, but they are still really good. Better than white alps.
If you click modify orange alps, you get pretty much the same feeling as blue alps if you have some barely used oranges.

>mostly white and orange alps.
I mean, *mostly white, cream and salmon.

no that is exactly what im doing
give me all of the attention pls

I'm looking at getting a ducky board for an even mix between typing and gaming. Does anyone know if there's a difference between the shine 4 and 5 in terms of build quality? The rgb backlighting on the shine 5 looks a little too obnoxiously gamer-like, so I'm opting towards the 4.

Trying alternating function row colors again, not sure how I feel about it.

go full black faggot

probably a keyboard
just a guess

Well, Nathan according to the label that displays all your information, it's a keyboard with the value of $84.

realized I had the shipping label visible lel

Awww yeah, sweet sweet unicomp goodness.

That glorious plastic that will yellow as it ages.

Their logo sucks desu

So does the fit and finish. Also I realized Sup Forums is leaking and wordfilters are a thing on Sup Forums

pbt doesn't really do that

Yeah it's definitely a hideous keyboard.

U sure user? Not that I really care because I bought it for the switches, but I thought that it's the ABS that won't yellow whereas pbt does.

Anyways.

Fuck yeah. This thing is so satisfying to type on.

lol no
brominated ABS yellows

dump tripfag cancer

k

>all these problems people have with the Granite
>mine is still stuck in customs
s-so afraid of bent keys

signature plastics are kind of total shit
they look great as long as you dont get too close

i'm going to try to heat up my dsa dolch spacebar and straighten it out

>dsa dolch
Shit is ABS, be careful.

>I thought that it's ABS that won't yellow whereas PBT does
If that were the case, then how come yellowing is common on older used keyboards? Maybe I don't know enough about keyboards, but I'm pretty sure old shit like Model Ms didn't PBT keycaps.

Nice get, friend.

Coolermaster Rapidfire-i
or just the rapid fire without the backlight

dumb tripfag cancer

i know its abs
i ordered another spacebar as a spare in case i wreck this one

Recent thrift store score

And another

checked

I feel so lucky that I didn't have any problems with this.
Really awful productions, such a shame.

nice find

Are these really PBT?
aliexpress.com/item/PBT-87-Set-Blank-White-Key-Caps-for-Cherry-MX-Keyboard/32598519161.html

I put them on a keyboard with backlighting and they are nearly entirely translucent.

Most likely, you can get the same set on geekkeys for the same price.

do you know where I can get blank white PBT keycaps that are not translucent?

:^)

keyboard built on a clip board?

...

Back in black.

dumb tripfag cancer

oh yeah
i forgot i bought this piece of garbage
