Buying a new phone won't bring you happiness.
Use the general for this shit.
Saged, blow me.

Kill yourself.

IPhones have the best camera and keyboard. They also have the smoothest ui; the reason for the lag Droid meme.
Shit everything else though. As in everything you can imagine in relation to smartphones the iPhone is bad at
>portable computer-like versatility
>battery life
>free software; in beer and freedom
>too many proprietary solutions, difficult to go without unlike Google
Etc

Best keyboard?
I never used, care to explain why is it better than many of the alternative on Android?

I guess my biggest problem is with the ui's smoothness. Every once in a while I need to reboot my phone for lags/ connectivity issues, and battery drain because of the huge screen and 4k-bullshit resolution.
As for battery life, I remember that when I owned a 4s it would last easily for 2 days, the Nexus barely makes it to a day and a half.

Something I posted yesterday and its relevant to you:

>iPhone 6s

My first smartphone was a Nokia N900. Best smartphone I had in my life. Ultra-hackable. Then I went to a Galaxy S2, Moto G 2014 and LG G3 and finally a Nexus 6p. I Wanted to like that garbage so bad. I was fucking tired of the late updates I was getting with vendors like LG or Samsung.
I was super happy to finally have a Nexus phone. I wanted to root the first day I got it, so I happily went to xda to do it. I had to unlock the bootloader, thus having the anti-theft feature totally broken. As soon as I got it I also ran Antutu benchmark, and the GPU results were fucking ugly, with stutters everywhere in the "China Garden" animation. I was sick of that shit and posted it in the Internet. Someone with a brand new (and I mean BRAND NEW) iPhone 6s 64gb offered me a change with my Nexus.
At first I had my doubts but iPhone has everything I wanted in my smartphone without root.
And you know what? I forgot about stuttering. I forgot about battery life (in a fucking 1700 mah cellphone and not a beast with 3000 mah that does half its battery life) and I LOVE IT.

Fuck Android. Fuck baking shitty roms made by indians that modify buil.props and think that you got better battery life and it's a fucking placebo.
Fuck having 3 gigs of ram and having worse multitasking than a 2 gb iOS cell.

Fuck Android, iOS is the superior mobile OS.

It's kind of magic actually. It just has insanely good detection. Like I use my sister's iPhone every once in a while and I'm always blown away at how easy type on it is. I've switched between Google keyboard, swiftkey, etc. But none come even fucking close to how easy the iPhone keyboard is.

Now tell us how you really feel.

You will finally get working phone that can last for more than 2 years without bloatware and lack of sw support killing it.

You will be hated by poorfags and sheeps jumping on any popular hate train.

Yes, I've read it in the general, thanks for posting here.
I feel like you love the i-devices or you hate them, now I just need to understand if it's a matter of money or if haters have actual points to prove what they say (do they actually try the phones or do they merely look at the price and whine because they can't afford it, so it must be complete shit?)

It's more comfy than Android. I only miss AdAway but I couldn't get it without root.
iOS has adblock support baked in the os.

Apps are more polished too. Games run smoothly and with better graphics (no throttling and no super hot temperatures when you play).

>do they merely look at the price and whine because they can't afford it, so it must be complete shit?

Yep, this is exactly what they do. People are literally triggered and offended if you spend your own money.

Really, my last phone was an iPhone and o thought the keyboard was alright. There wasn't anything special about it. I works just about the same as my current keyboard, Google keyboard.

see pic related

Pros :
- You never need "factory reset" because it doesn't lag.
- Security. No app is allowed to run in startup, etc. You don't need to worry about porn ads that will suddenly appear in your lock screen.
- You can turn off application's cellular access without rooting the device first
- Good looking

Cons
- Battery
- Must use iTunes to copy files to / from iPhone

Iphone

>faster
>better ram management, better at multitasking
>Apps have consistent and good looking UI
>Apps are more optimized and faster
>App store isnt flooded with useless shit like icon packs, custom picture viwers, custom phone app etc
>god-ter usability; 3D-touch, better keyboard, swipe to return, etc
>up to 128gb of storage
>associated with rich people
>easier to get girls
>more stable
>non-botnet
>no depreciation, you can resell your iphone for almost the same value you paid
>software updates for as long as you wish keeping your device up do date and with all the latest features and safe
>just werks

Android

>cheaper but lags
>3rd world phone
>poo2loo
>muh ricing
>muh emulators
>botnet

literally none of that is true

and that tripfag that posted this is just a jelly poorfag because he has an LG Volt.

literally all of it is true though. I used to have an iPhone 4s btw.

>mfw signed up for the iphone upgrade program from apple a month ago
I switched from 1+ but if you use your phone like an actual phone and not a gaymin 420, you wont notice. It seems snappier with the visuals and my battery lasts me a whole day. Most people i know keep location, BT, and other shit apple has on by default so battery will vary.

cons: can't turn off useless sounds without muting phone. (Camera sound mainly). Can't get messages without screen turning on without turning off notification pop up. These can most likely be fixed with jailbreak. It mainly comes down to if you can deal with apple dumb shit and how you use your phone.

Not the other guy, but I just recently switched from an iPhone and I have to say, the biggest thing I miss is the iPhone keyboard and spell check. It was a lot better at catching my mistakes, and was just generally easier to use. I do prefer it. I've used both iPhones and Android phones throughout the years and have really found myself liking the iPhone's keyboard a whole lot more. I have yet to find a suitable replacement for Android.

I was wrong, besides no m-SD slot and no native browser, none of if it's true.

3D touch is a complete GIMMICK. most people use it for Instagram and facebook besides looking at photos it is complete useless.

Here is everything you need to know OP

Has anyone here tried Project Fi yet? I hear you need a recent Nexus for it and I've been considering getting one.

ALL OF IT IS. I used to own an iPhone so I know.

None of it is apparent when you own an iPhone but when you switch to android you start to notice things.

It's shit and so are nexus phones. It's $10/GB + $20 base fee. So using 5GB of data in a month will cost you $70. Shit's retarded.

You're better off with metropcs/boost mobile.

Best Sup Forums-related choice you'll make in your life familia.

Are you retarded?

Lets begin
>overpriced
Nope, comparable price to all phones with similar specs
>cant torrent
wrong, just google it
>shit res screen
wrong. Above 320ppi isn't shit. And every single phone revier on the internet claims the iPhone has one of the best looking screens.
>shit camera
Why? because its 'only' 12MP? lmao
>shit battery life
6s+ last more than 2 days
>shit mobile OS
Compared to what? Android? lmao
>have to use lagtunes
Sorry if apple prioritizes security
>cant share files other than photos/videos over wifi
sure because there isn't more than one million ways to do that?
>no back button
swipe to return >> back button
>shit multi-tasking
wrong. 6s on 2gb ram wrecks the galaxy s7 on multi-tasking
>less apps
better apps. Half android apps are shit that has no use on iOS like custom launchers
>encryption full of backdoors
lmao. 1 iphone got hacked with no proof.
90% of android phones aren't even encrypted.
Android encryption is shit anyway, makes your phone twice as slow

I was typing up this big reply but then did the math and realized it's actually a shit deal anyway.

Thank you based user.

The thing that bothers me most is iTunes, but I won't have to use it much, just a few backups every once in a while.

>if you can deal with apple dumb shit and how you use your phone

Aye, I've done a jailbreak before, and sometimes is even easier that a root (when JB is available, obviously). And yes, I know it exposes it to risks, but whatever, I don't go to the deepweb on a smartphone.

3D touch would have been interesting, but I've seen some videos and realized it saves literally just 2 seconds, it's bullshit. That's why I'm propending for the 6, not 6s. But it's also true that 6s are much more durable (I don't really care about speed, it's not like your day is saved if an app loads 0.5 seconds faster).

I've watched some speed-comparison videos, I'll check these too!

(Please ignore leaked specs of the 2016 Moto Sup Forums, that was part of the big reply.)

Like I said none of the problems will be apparent until you switch to android. It's okay man I used to be an iPhone user just like you so I can relate to the ignorance you posses. Maybe some day you'll switch to android and see the problems that existed with iPhones or maybe you won't. Either way those problems the tripfag mentioned are factual. No amount of butthurt will makes those facts not facts.

>muh anecdotal argument

I had android phones before m8. They're shit compared to iPhone

>best camera
Thanks John. 20$ have been deposited in your account

>I had android phones before m8. They're shit compared to iPhone
Sure thing senpai

Kys

Shill.

/thread

So Android is as slow as Windows Phone now? hue

Daily reminder: there are paid apple shills on Sup Forums.

Apple is in the process of becoming bankrupt so they will resort to paying shills to market their products as much as possible to try and save the company like always.

Their stock has dropped from $110 to $92 in the past 30 or so days so expect very heavy shilling on Sup Forums.

God I love the smell of buttblasted androidplebs

they are both shit desu

No, that's the "I don't know how to take care of nice things because I'm a clumsy child" starter pack.

What does battery life have to do with being clumsy?

>dumb people dont know about battery life cycles and charge the phone full even if its 70%
>same people put their iphones in their back pocket and sitting on them thus bending or overheating the phone and battery

>Pros for android

iPhone users everybody

>>dumb people dont know about battery life cycles and charge the phone full even if its 70%
You're an idiot. There's literally nothing wrong with doing this.

Galaxy S7 has been rated with best camera also BB10 is said to have best keyboard.

The single biggest reason to keep your android is that ios has no Sup Forums browser unless you jailbreak.

With android you can install non google play apps without root so it is a non issue what google allows on their store or not

They're pretty comparable these days, it just comes down to personal preference.

iPhone pros:
Won't stutter
iMessage, FaceTime, and iPad handoff
Good battery life (on Plus models)
Hardware is good
No carrier or OEM bullshit

iPhone cons:
Limited functionality
Lacks basic customization without jailbreak
Jailbreaking scene hasn't caught up to the new versions
Only two choices of current gen hardware
Lower resolution displays, but still very nice
Non-Plus model has awful battery
Lack of integration with Google services (obv., but you may miss them)
Price

Android has more hardware options so you can find something to suit your needs more, and often the software can be modified to do the same. iDevices on the other hand, are a pretty one size fits all solution. But if they don't, you're shit out of luck.

so I found an iphone, is there any way the person who it belongs to can trace it to me?

There are protection circuits against that you retard.

Yup. You should be getting a police officer knocking on your door in a few days if the person has that apple tracking installed.

They won't arrest you just ask for it back. Don't put up a fight, give it back, and you should be okay.

Yes, if FindMyiPhone is on, which it likely is, they can find it. It also will likely be iCloud locked, and you won't be able to use it anyways

bb..but what about muh customizashuns?

No My Little Pony icon packs for iPhone... fuck your gay apple shit.

amiritebros?

can't I just disable that shit? it's been turned off and I've had it for a week now

Nope, it exists for this purpose. If you really want to be a prick, take it to a different location and turn it on, check if there's a passcode. If there isn't, go into settings and look for FindMyiPhone. If it's not enabled, factory reset the phone, or put it in recovery and wipe it at home. If it is, just try to get it back to the owner. It'll just be a brick for you anyways.

>physical keyboards

ok granddad

Haha did you read what he wrote?

only in the browser though, that is not enough

not even if I just reset it in recovery mode?
