This stupid meme has been spammed by almost every tech writer for controversial clickbait material for more than 1 year now. Paranoid linux users with a grudge against Microsoft love repeating the lie that Windows 10 is a surveillance OS that sends all your keystrokes and files to the NSA.
If Windows 10 supposedly spies on you on the same level that malware does, then why isn't there any legal action being taken against it? Why hasn't not even a single antivirus company or security researcher called out Microsoft if they supposedly 'spy' on everyone with Windows 10? So far, the best 'evidence' of this so-called spying the paranoids have managed come up with are clickbait articles with zero sources/actual evidence and copy-pasting parts of the Microsoft online services privacy policy without context (which is for online services).
The fact of the matter is Microsoft has zero reason to want to spy on anyone, and the claims that Windows 10 spies on people are completely false and based off of no actual evidence. Windows 10 only gathers an extremely minimal amount of telemetry data. If you're using XP or above you're already giving them the same amount of metadata that 10 collects. It's all completely non personal and untrackable data that in absolutely NO way can be traced back to anyone. Windows 10 has a lot of great features and Microsoft is still kind enough to offer it for free while supporting it for life. It's very sad to see people letting all this baseless FUD paranoia prevent them from taking advantage of a completely free upgrade to Microsoft's best work yet.
I agree with you. This shit has gotten out of hand. Windows 10 is the most secure version of Windows ever created with numerous security features. It's completely ironic to even suggest that it spies on you.

the whole article is 'blah blah blah windows is gud so use it naow' and 'you are all liars to me. windowwws doesn't spy'
...but there is nothing that really denies the spying. No facts, no tests what windows really does (tcpview, just look at all the connections) and stuff. The whole text is 'in my opinion, my opinion is fact'.
Who wrote that shit anyways? Zdnet should do quality control on their writers.

Everyone who's not a tech retard knows that microshaft is not actively spying on it's users. But once you use any of their services, you basically give them permission to monitor your data, just like you do when using google products.
It's also that the OS tries to do too much stuff for you, without you noticing it and that is something lots of people don't like.
James Cruz
What will happen after the free Windows 10 'upgrade' runs out? Will MS stop trying to force Windows 10 on you in Win7 and 8.1? If not how does it work if you get 'upgraded'. Do you find yourself rebooting to a time limited Windows 10 with no rollback option? Pay up or fuck off?
ANSWER MY FUCKING QUESTION!
Eli Brooks
Windows was never secure. It don't trust that shit. Don't forget that Microsoft was/is the first member of PRISM. Also advertising Windows 10 through security updates is fucking disgusting. If you want to trust Microsoft with your data, fine, do what you want. Don't make others trust that fucking company.

Windows XP came with it's own well signposted backdoor. But yeah, spying, crazy.
Juan Sanders
Is there any actual **PROOF** that W10 spies?
Not the EULA, not what some faggot on prisonplanet says, actual proof like packet captures of personal information being sent to MS?
This operating system has been out for long enough that some autist, somewhere, has to have proven it if it's actually happening.
Jace Peterson
Windows 10 spies on you, maybe at the same level that malware does, but there is not any legal action because you AGREE EULA.

The thing I wanna know, is that even if they do, why should you care unless you're breaking the law? Pirates and such should be destroyed, and pedophiles and degenerates lusting after anime loli shit should be jailed.

It's all about money, and it's all in the Windows 10 EULA.

If I did, wouldn't they have done something by now? Or maybe not because they only use any of their "surveillance" for troubleshooting bugs and trying to make the OS as good as it can be. I've basically had the same hard drive for about 10 years always cloning the drive before upgrading, I've even torrented cracks for games after I bought them because some games can only be modded with a crack, even on Windows 10 I've done this.
Samuel Cooper

Windows 10 is dogshit not only because of the constant spying (which is true) but because of other problems as well. I tried it for a couple of days and I didn't like it at all. The UI looks like shit and it forces you to update even if you're doing something very important.
This may be the worst OS microshaft has ever released to date.
I don't know how much they're paying you to shill windows 10 pajeet but it's all in vain. Nobody wants windows 10 and the only reason people are using is because it came with their best buy laptop or it forced itself as an "update" on windows 7/8.1
To anyone thinking about "upgrading" to windows 10: please don't. It's not worth it and just a waste of time.

This is Sup Forums, logic does not apply here. All forms of evidence is useless here.
Jace Edwards
Drinking apple juice will not cause kids to become hyper. The "sugar causes hyperactivity" is just a meme. What does cause hyperactivity is caffeine found in soda.
Apple juice is fine, the worst it could do is make your kid fat if they drink a gallon a day.
