>Some dude on monkeyBay selling a mint model M for 400 dollars

If you're reading this I hope you choke on all the cum you guzzle you fucking faggot.

Although on second thought maybe he's a redditor, since he takes bitcoin and all.

What don't you like about orange? Have you tried other alps/matias?

i dont understand
are you having an autistic shit fit because you can't afford it and really want it?

i have matias switches to play with
seems like the new quiet click feels better

anyway i prefer the feel of cherry or topre, and saying they suck is going to upset someone

Cheap walmart keyboard

check out CODE or a QFR

filco

Nah, I already have one. It's just a dumb price if you ever wanna sell it, specially on a country where the average worker wins around 500 dollars a month AND if there are substantially cheaper Model Ms on the site AND if you're acting all high and mighty over the price you've set.
Ah, whatever. Whoever buys that is gonna get fucked. Not me.
Digging that color scheme on your board btw, it's real neato.

>Land of the Free
You mean, Switzerland?

KUL ES87, KBP V80 or GANSS GS87

Worst part is, I had actually contacted him once because hes was gonna get me an active USB converter since he SUPPOSEDLY had one lying around. Had to talk him into selling it because according to him "It wouldn't work on my keyboard's layout, so he'd have to make a custom one for me for about a hundred dollars". Kept me waiting for about a month, so I got fed up and did the resistor mod on an old DIN-PS2 cable. Thank god I was clever enough to not pay him up front.

...

why would you do this

I too, recommend the KUL ES87, it's great.

Cos why not ?

Good feeling of oneness with cup rubber
and ergoclears, because why not.

that is not a valid explanation
you need to justify your actions to appease my autism

Cos it's a sin. You'll get tan.

I just want to say that I'm sorry for making this post.

So you browse e-bay checking out prices on stuff you already own and don't want to buy just to see who's getting ripped off?

Yes, in case a different kind of model M I don't have pops out.

Blues are for fun
Browns are for more accurate commas and dots since i can't order zealios
Reds are for my pinky

FUCK I LOVE THOSE KEYCAPS

deskthority.net/wiki/R6_leftovers

Thanks

It's actually Symbiosis, the DT GB ones have a slightly different layout for the legends.

Guys, it's possible to find ALPS keycaps for backlit switches? I'd love to mod a Matias switches keyboard.

Check my Instagram photo

I know.

it's don't think you could get much more hipster, my fucking god

Hey /mkg/, got a quick query.

My "d" key has been sticking recently, is there any way I can get it back to working order? Or do I have to buy a new switch for it?

Love the elven shit

did you paint those?

can you even spray paint keys? what about smooth/shiny ones? I like that rough look

>ar-15 with a 9mm clip

>clip
please die

They're DSA blanks

Baby oil and a q-tip

>he fell for the clipck bait

I officially cannot convert my typewriter keys to fit my kb. it was worth a try i guess. Which would be a better investment- dsa relegendables, or a custom wasd abs set

>dsa relegendables, or a custom wasd abs set
These are some of the worst options you can choose.

This general never posts enough eye candy

This isn't >/soc/

post more keyboards damn it!

miami keycaps are NOT gay

are browns bad? They're like blues, right

rip Rose

good fucking god.

oh god i think i fucked up

i just bought a cherry POS board

oooh i hope it wasn't a mistake

garbage.

nice

bad

Who is this?

Anthony Burch

Many of them have meh MY or ML switches, but nice POM cap sets. I bought my MX Browns POS just for dem black caps

I bought one like that. allegedly brown switches with the top row being clear. either way if it feels bad im just harvesting the caps. allegedly doubleshot abs

newfag

They feel alright, but browns are my least favorite switch other than Futaba complicated.

Just so many better options out there for tactile.

Rose. Some say she still lurks.

She's hot.

lel i see these at the thrifts shops all the time

they look so cool until you start typing

...

this is bait. nobody is this stupid.

I want to get a mech keyboard but i hate keyboard without a armrest slope thingy

Ok /mkg/ I wanna board the mk train so after some research I found the following keyboards.
I want to specify that I need it for programming and that I type a lot on it so if someone experienced can give me a feedback of these keyboards I would be very grateful.

>CM Storm Quick Fire Ultimate: 40€ (used)
Don't know what switches, I will ask the seller.

>Corsair Vengeance K60 cherry red: 60€ (used)
This looks like my best choice. I'm not sure I can drop the numpad.

>Corsair Vengeance K90 cherry red: 70€ (used)
I don't know if I like this, it looks too big for me.

>CM Storm QuickFire XT cherry blue: 90€
Best TK option.

>Magicforce TKL kailh black: 60€
I'd need to change the keycaps, they're utter shit.

>CM Storm NovaTouch TKL Hybrid Switch: 110€
Some user here suggested this.

>Corsair Gaming Strafe cherry red: 130€
Too expensive and not sure if it's any better than the others.

>CM Storm Quick Fire Rapid I cherry brown: 110€
I don't know if I like browns.

I'm expecting a tester in the mail just to be sure about what switches I prefer.
TKL is irrelevant.
Sorry for the long-ass post.

You can get wrist rests for mechanical keyboards too. See

Anything by corsair should be avoided since they have a non-standard bottom row and their keyboards are also known for various other issues.

Backlit coolermaster keyboards should be avoided since their OEM is known for dead LEDs and is far lower in quality than the OEM of the non-backlit ones (Costar)

If you want a keyboard with a numpad, that'd throw the magicforce and the novatouch off the list too.

From what you've listed, the Quickfire XT from Cooler Master is what you'd be looking.

Of course there's also other keyboards such as Ducky or Filco or the Realforce series if you want to get something more fancy.

those numbers...

Thanks a lot for the reply and the cons of Corsair and CM, I have looked for Filco and Ducky but they are really expensive for my first mk.
I'll see if I can get a used one maybe.

Your concerns regarding the price of your first keyboard are understandable. I'd recommend getting the Quickfire XT, it's made by the same OEM that makes Filco keyboards (Costar).

Non-backlit cooler masters are generally a good choice, it's the backlit ones you should be careful about (though I don't know about their newest line with RGB backlighting)

About the blue switches on that keyboard, are they ok for what I do?
Is the keyboard customizable like those I see in these threads?
I've typed mostly on membrane keyboards and laptops for 10 years.

Is the gigabyte force k83 any good?
I just want a simple design without gaymer backlighting or hipster keycaps.

This one is pretty cheap and has mx reds

>clip
off yourself famalam

There's no switch that's inherently "better" for a apecific application, it's pretty much a matter of preference. And anything with a standard bottom row (bottom row modifiers are all the same sizw) should be quite easily customizable.

ok guys, I just found out that I can pair my new phone with bluetooth keyboards.

What's the cheapest wireless 60% out there?

Probably those $50 lindon chinkboards on amazon, the Filco ones are like 150

dumb tripfag cancer

i want to get a ISO QWERTZ (DE) pok3r from amazon, but they don't have the colour / switch combo i want in stock.

since i'm going to replace the keycaps anyways, is there any downside to getting the one with ISO UK QWERTY layout? does the hardware differ?

tertel

Nope, literally just caps

I have one of those goddamn turtles but something inside broke and the head now lays on one side.

looks really good but why the black spacebar?

;_;
No real reason desu. I have the beige bar sitting here.

What keyboard is this? Do they have a TKL version?

pok3r

Is Topre a meme if you're not a gamer?

250 dollar rubber domes sound like a meme to me, spring or no spring

>activity specific keyboards

that's the real meeeem

With MX Red?

Are those ice trays

Do a "mini keyboard" exist, which has all switchs for testing?

>Do a
Heh

switch testers are pretty easy to find

autism triggered

It's not a meme. Typing is different from making fast-timed key combos which is different from controlling with the same keys. Next you're going to tell me everyone should use one of those fancy 12-button mice.

No I'm saying no one should.

It's hard to find. Would you recommend me some?

This one has a Topre switch, so you can feel the meme yourself:

You would be missing out on MX Clears and Gaterons though.
