ASRock

ASCuck is the official motherboard manufacturer of poorfags.

Asus make the best motherboards. This isn't up for debate.

>asrock

nice buyers remorse, faggot
keep trying to rationalize your shit purchase on Sup Forums
it's hilarious

>Asus
shitty bios

>bios
>2016

fuck off my Sup Forums, assrock poorfaggot

MSI is MILITARY GRADE

Abit.

Probably ASUS, but ASRock is good if you're not building a high-performance rig.

Choice-supportive Bias: The Posts

Anyone who can make a mobo with bullets has my vote

>abit

Who the fuck do you think you are? wtf is abit? Is that the shit motherboard the chinese computer shop guy shoved in your "make me a $800 gaming pc please" rig?

Fucking chode

DFI Lanparty series

But for real, my current Z77 ASrock is the last ASrock anything I will ever buy

Nobody ever mentions Gigabyte, despite them being quite good. Or EVGA, but they're trash these days.

Underage pls go.

>gigabyte
>good
>calling someone else underaged

Lol. You stupid cunt.

Embarrassing.

>But for real, my current Z77 ASrock is the last ASrock anything I will ever buy
Why's that? I've had one in my Media PC for years now and it hasn't given me a lick of trouble to date.

Gigabyte

Ultra durable all the way baby

There is some problem with the model I have where it will randomly decide the RAM isn't seated anymore, repeat ad nauseum until recently half of my RAM sockets actually died

>Asus make the best motherboards. This isn't up for debate.
This

Military grade is a code word for, "cheap, works okay, not the best, but production can be scaled up or down per our requirements, and the company just happens to have been vetted previously, so we don't have to wait 12 months to start."

>buys shitty cheap ram
>breaks his motherboard
>blames asrock

reddit please go. asrock is the best you retarded shill

(You)

A media PC is a pretty undemanding environment for a motherboard. I'd be satisfied throwing any cheap shit in a media PC, but not necessarily a workstation or gay men system.

If I could fuck a motherboard, it'd be gigabyte

>ASUS
my P8P67 LE is the worst heap of shit ever. I will never buy ASUS again.

>USB ports randomly stop working
>USB 3.0 ports lol r u serious
>randomly just doesn't POST sometimes????
>onboard audio jacks are so dirty you can hear your mouse movements, have to use optical audio

this thing is a piece of shit and I made a mistake buying it.

Agreed, my previous 3 computers that are old as fuck and running Gigabyte mobo and graphics card are still running strong.

that's what you get for buying shitsus

bet you think you were smart trying to follow the asus meme. next time you should grow a fucking brain and think for yourself and buy something good like asrock

Oh, I see. Yeah I definitely wouldn't go with ASRock for a workstation or gaming rig like () said to me but for a home theater machine with nothing critical on it you can't beat the price.

>asrock
>not for gaming or workstation

Fuck off Asus shill, every ASRock gaming build I've seen has performed amazingly

>shills shilling at shills
your chink is showing, waifeng

i used gigabyte asrock and msi and never ran into a problem, asus is probably fine too

Unleash the extreme performance!

>Things that never happened: The Post

I like ASRock but they've got the highest return rates and shit customer service so I go with other brands for my main machine.

Get bent faggot.

I've never had a motherboard of any brand have any problems, and I've only built rigs with games in mind. Lately, I've liked Gigabyte because they're cheap. Buy whatever makes you happy, OP.

Implying that saying you like ASRock gives any credibility to your blatant FUD.

Fuck off shill.

I had 5 broken Asus motherboard in one year... no Asus for me ever again.

About 6 years ago Asus was the best but now it's shit tier.

Gigabyte for sure. Highly reliable, no bullshit, except sometimes for their design choices. Built an AMD build with them, ran great for years until I fucked up by spilling shit on the motherboard. Recommend it to one of my friends and they haven't had problems over the past 2 years.

MSI worst UEFI/BIOS I've ever dealt with. Not a lot of settings are available, has a goofy GUI, cannot recognize half of my bootable USBs no matter how many settings I tweak compared to all my other computer builds. And as well, 3 DOA/broke overtime motherboards.

ASRock likes to break the rules that Intel provides, i.e. having some settings available and try to have Non-K variant CPUs overclockable. They're cheap but get the job done. Currently using one with Z77 chipset that I've owned since late 2014. Works great.

ASUS I trust as a brand, as I've owned their laptops and displays. I've only built an AM3+ build with them twice and to this day they're still running great, though collecting dust as they're really just for test bench / diagnostics stuff at this rate.

BIOSTAR IS LITERALLY THE BEST MOTHERBOARD BRAND FUCK EVERYTHING I SAID GO THROW OUT YOUR ENTIRE COMPUTER BECAUSE YOU'VE ALREADY TAINTED ALL YOUR COMPONENTS WITH TRASH. PAIR WITH A DIABLOTEK POWERSUPPLY FOR MAXIMUM PERFORMANCE

ASUS and ASRock always struck me as cheap chinkshit trash for 420pro gamerz.
what high-performance motherboard do adults buy?

MSI

Rock solid. No gamer faggotry

Biostar makes the best fucking motherboards

I like Gigabyte, had mine for 6 years.

This.

Gigabyte has always been good though

Is this a meme? I never actually looked into them since I assumed they were Mainland shit.

>google biostar
>www.biostar.com.tw
>.tw
>into the trash it goes

Elitegroup best

Every single AsRock motherboard I've had has had the following problem - when the power goes out or the PSU is switched off, the motherboard won't boot unless 10-20 minutes pass.

>no gamer faggotry
>from the company that literally gives you these in 90% of their products
I actually still have mine too

user, they all come from Taiwan.

google.com/search?q=asrock extreme 4 ram&oq=asrock extreme 4 ram&aqs=chrome..69i57.2634j0j7&sourceid=chrome&ie=UTF-8

Second this from experience.

Although they're great budget boards, this has been a re-occuring problem with ASRock Boards apparently according to many reviews on different motherboards, it's annoying as hell.

What? MSI is literally gaymer: the company.

Niggah, EVERYTHING ELECTRONICS RELATED IS MADE IN CHINA OR TAIWAN

>ASRock was originally spun off from Asus in 2002 in order to compete with companies like Foxconn for the commodity OEM market.

>Parent ASUSTek Computer through Pegatron

how can anyone shit on asus and praise Asrock which is an asus division for 3rd world markets is beyond my comprehension.

Some people shit on Chevys but praise Cadillacs
It's about quality control

Gigabyte stronk. I've had one of their cheapish (100€~) z97 ultra durable mobos since early 2014 and it has withstood my accidental abuse (shit case so not enough standoffs, hsf thus bending the bitch. Also psu committing sudoku) still works as good as day 1.

>LEDs actually on the heat sinks

Oh wow.

muh capacitors and UEFI/BIOS

Supermicro
anyone?

I remember laughing out loud the first time I saw the Ultra Durable branding. I though it's a motherboard not a truck.

How does the brand of the mobo even matter? As long as it's not some 10$ Chinese mobo, everything else should be fine.
How often have you heard of motherboards failing? I haven't ever desu

WHO /ASRock P67/ masterrace here?

On my Haswell Z87 Asrock i had problem with Asus Xonar, comp wouldn't go to sleep. Pretty much the driver/chipset problem but was funded back the money after 1 new Xonar. First one was deemed as broken but second worked as well as the 1st card. And that fuckking GUI, holy shit. Srt8 outta 2k2

i swear by msi and gigabyte.
msi for intel stuff and gigabyte for amd boards.
asus motherboards are pretty bad from my experience but their graphics cards are top tier especially the directCU variants.

Biostar actually make some pretty decent upper mid-range Z170 boards. I mean, nobody's ever actually going to buy them over one of the major brands, but still.

I'm currently using a Gigabyte MA790XT that I've had since 2009. Previously had an overclocked X3 720 in there overclocked from day one and is now coping with an overclocked X6 1090T that I bought a few months back to tinker with. It was sitting unused for 18 months whilst I had a 4790K, but it's been a goddamn trooper and my main system for the rest of that time.

It's a shame that their Z170 boards are so fucking ugly. I'd genuinely rather have one of the tacky gun heatsink boards than those red and white plastic monstrosities.

Motherboards fail all the time. Even within the same brand there's cheap garbage and quality stuff. Compare the Asus Z170-A and Z170-PRO for instance. On the surface they look basically identical, yet the latter costs $40 more. When you take the heatsinks off, you see that's because it uses much higher quality components, especially in the power circuitry.

And as said, UEFI quality varies massively. MSI's is a fucking mess.

Should have said ECS, as Biostar legit has had some gems here and there (notably that one LGA 775 motherboard that outstripped the fucking EP45-UD3P for LGA 775 dual core overclocking), and their other boards, while not being the best, at least arent the festering pile of shit that is ECS.

R.I.P Abit wish they where still around.

>"American components, Russian components, ALL MADE IN TAIWAN!"

I don't know about Sup Forums but here is my ranking based on the fact i have no brand loalty

MSI
Asrock this company has nice mother board that lasts but the sounds are not top teir

Gigabyte (okay but sound is not great ether budget brand realtek is shit they never update their sound drivers, gigbyte makes varias colours even unique so they are best looking IMO)

Biostar ( good all reound but really ugly Mobos and ugly bios screen)

Asus (they make super ugly boards the work on them on their high end is okay but the buget end is ugly as sin would not buy a MATX or ITX off them NO WAY, also they fail too much and are not user friendly)

trash tier
Foxxconn
( for reason is the sound card is bad sounds and really budget interface
and failing Ram slots are common on cheaper models and

they are always in rebuilds they often last only 2 years at max pretty sad if you ask me.)

I had a DFI board back when I got an Athlon 64 and SLI was a new thing.

It was a waste of money for me. I didn't use the features, also I got the stupid ultraviolet cathodes. I was foolish back then.

In all honesty, Asus and Gigabyte make both cheap and reliable, and expensive and reliable boards, so if you buy from either of them you're probably making a good choice.

ASRock is great.

>problems with your product
>complain about it instead of RMAing it
Warranties exist for a purpose.

Also, onboard audio is always a mistake.

I've used multiple Asrock boards for multiple PC's and never had any problems.

>threading your own post
fuck off user

I think MSI and Asrock are the best desu. Asus is overpriced and with gimmicks for gaymers.

i have a biostar N68S3+ i got in 2009 still functions (game server)

Then why do they fail more than Gigabyte and have no dual BIOS/UEFI?

>onboard audio is always a mistake

Outdated meme. A lot of higher end boards have really good onboard audio these days. Gigabyte's Z170X-Gaming 7 has a full quad core audio processor from Creative on there (the same one they use on their Sound Blaster Z discrete card). Unless you have $500 headphones, you're not noticing a difference.

I tend to go Gigabyte for motherboard and MSI for graphics. Corsair for RAM.

MSI because the make red/black products

the soundcore 3d has the same audio processor as the Z series, but its SHIT

because
it
has
an
in
built
shit
DAC

if the DAC is shit the rest doesent matter one bit.

It's not about the quality of the processor, it is about the location all of the DAC equipment inside your fucking computer with a power supply and components that radiate EMI nearby.

If you output from the board digitally to a receiver, fine, but then most of the components are worthless anyway your receiver is doing the work, but otherwise you're dumb.

I oqn a Z170 sniper G1 and it has realtek sound on it.
its sucks balls and it cost 50NZD less then
Gigabyte's Z170X-Gaming 7

so its so not out dated its a brand new revsion.

here a picture of the mobo i just getting in the mail tomorrow.

Fucking hell gigabyte stop adding PCI 32bit lanes on your Mobos REEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE

supermicro

Kek, his best performance desu

Technically ps3s are military grade too

I used too think ASRock was the best as well. Because they were cheap and still had a lot of features.
But my first one caught on fire after half a year. The second one as well. And the third (don't even know why I got a third) can't overclock even 1% because it doesn't support the voltage.

if your a over clocker then MSI or ASUS is your thing.
only highend mobos costing hunders of dollars do over clocking well.

Asus has never liked overclocking so there is that.

Then my next will be MSI

as for Asrock they have opver clocking mobos but they are expenise than the normal ones and they only give those to Intel for some reason.

High end ASUS/Gigabyte/MSI if your overclocking, and for regular builds, anything with solid caps and at least 8 VRM phases.

Running decently OC setup for 6 years (and counting) on a Gigabyte.
Not a single thing broke even temporarily. Nothing needed fixing, replacing, restarting.
All USB ports up and running, all integrated peripherals up and running.
As good as the day it was bought. They really aren't kidding with the "Ultra Durable" meme.

Only issue is it lacks in functions, but I'll take the blame for that as I cheaped out.

Unlucky you. My Asrock b75 pro3 is more than 3 years old and still works great.

How do you do, fellow kids?

Take your autism and stale memes somewhere else, retards.

>Realtek

Buy shit, get shit.

Such a well-made thread it makes all of Sup Forums go marking their territory. Good job.

>it is about the location all of the DAC equipment inside your fucking computer with a power supply and components that radiate EMI nearby

holy fucking shit
audiophiles are at it again

could you people just fucking not?
fuck off

don't you have to isolate some cables or build bridges and beds for them through your living room?

I have a Gigabyte motherboard that consistently gets stuck on bios splashcreen

keep being mad

did you even check out compairsons between the Recon3D and the Z series?, that is the ONLY difference between those two cads :^)

Gigabye was good back in the days. Right now its mediocre i believe.

>keep being mad

Keep shitposting despite getting BTFO by hard numbers.

No they don't
