Who /fedora24beta/ here?

Who /fedora24beta/ here?

Gnome 3.20 is fucking smooth af

Looks guud, OP. I'm a Deb user though.

What's different?

I'm running arch and gnome looks p. much the same.
It's okay, I use it on my laptop where it's good. gnome is retarded on a desktop.

Not entirely sure I went from 3.14 to 3.20

- we have a calendar app thats not tied to Bloat Evolution
- built in weather
- application menu can now live on the window as opposed to being on the top bar beside the activities

havent finished touring it tho

ah, okay. I'm on 3.20.1 (muh bleeding edge) so I didn't know that that stuff was new

>Using Gnome > 2.x

fedora is nice, but I already have ubuntu and arch partitions

I don't get why they're gonna release 25 like 4 months after the launch of 24...

the package management . I want no part of it.

also ugly logo

is that Facebook Linux?

Yeah Zuckerberg is the head of development

>built in weather
THIS CHANGES EVERYTHING!

I wonder how Gnome would do if they had Apple's marketing team.

>We now have built in MAPS; REVOLUTIONARY

>calendar app
>not based on remind
It's like you don't need a turing complete scripting language to be the base of your calendar.

But Remind doesn't intergrate with my Google Calendar.

I use Remind on my nettop tho, its freaking sweet.

I have been a kde user for a long time, I didn't see that I would be jealous of features we used to have.
I hope we get widgets again soon, it was a cool concept.
Maybe I should try out gnome in the meantime.
Is the experience still shitty when you want to use all kde applications?

there are remind -> radicale storage gateways. Get away from the google botnet.

KDE and GNOME are separate ecosystems, so GNOME has its own way of doing things.

It's not so radically different though, the only radical thing GNOME has over KDE is the Activities over view.

Got any articles for that stuff? I am leaning away from Google bit by bit.

How can anyone use KDE, it's such a mess.

KDE has better applications in every category.
But I really want something like a calendar widget again.

Tried it out today.
Nautilus received smaller icon scale. It also got improved search filters (by time and type of file).
Software now shows rating and additional information (availability of documentation, for example) for applications. It's interface now feels more intuitive and they fixed bug with window size.
In Tweak Tool tabs are rearranged, so appearance section is on top again.
Also, for some reason in this version application menu on top bar is disabled by default and can't be enabled. Gedit even had traditional menu enabled (it was placed under headerbar, looks weird). Maybe because it's still beta. Gonna check bugtracker through.
Default theme is now more greyish and looks more pleasing. Btw, Adwaita is one of the best UI styles i've ever seen. Checkboxes are now animated, looks super smooth. Symbolic icons and default font are also tweaked.
Overall new gnome feels even more polished. One of the best DE's so far.

Looks like shit.

>fedora
>beta
Yep, looks like Sup Forums.

On a side note I wonder if it will work on my crappy old netbook(which has shitty two power buttons that fuck bootloaders up)

>"af"
kill yourself

wats wron, senpai?

Title bars are not fat anymore? Das gut.

Gallium drivers? Whats wrong with Intels driver? RPM dosent work with 24 yet? Do you not get horrible screen tearing?

kill yourself for perpetuating the usage of that faggoty excuse of an acronym
