Vega next year, while nVidia get shitty revenue for selling a high end gpu with the less profits and low sales number, AMD will rank in with the mid-high segment with the 480x with better revenue and way more sales.
Seems pretty ok to me.

Vega, and we don't know when it'll get here
Wait 2 weeks to find out

But Vega will have to compete with the 1080ti.

I'm asking what their answer is for the rest of the year for the 1080 and the 1070

>mfw retards are selling their 980 tis for half of what they originally paid
>only 19% higher in performance

They wont have one and they don't need one.
Read this They will not have the "Best" single chip gpu out there but they will make more money selling more mid-range cards.
Stop you fanboyism user.

Vega won't cost any more than the $700 that the 1080 does and is rumoured to have been moved up to later this year.

bottom of the barrel prices for Polaris
when the competition goes full expensive jew, go full jew in reverse

20% performance difference on the stock 1080, 30% on the oc'd one.

But I agree, the 1080 really isn't worth dumping your 980ti for half the price over.

It's supposed to be an upgrade for the 980 not the 980ti

The 480x will have to compete with the 1070 though, you make it seem like its clearcut that most people will go for the 480x, that doesn't seem so clearcut to me.

If the 1070 reaches 980ti performance many people will think the 100$ premium over the 480x is justified

>Vega won't cost any more than the $700 that the 1080 does
You don't know that, and by that time prices on the 1080 will be cut

This is the least informed comment in this thread
Don't talk to me or my wife's gpu ever again

That's true too, I will wait until release of the 480x, if it happen this month, AMD could have a head start before the 1070 release or wait to test performance before releasing.

Informed by what? Where is your evidence to back anything what you said up?

Amd never releases a card more expensive than the top performing Nvidia card
Nvidia never drops prices until it releases new cards of their own

>Nvidia never drops prices until it releases cards of their own
False, Nvidia will match any price drop once AMD do so for similarly performing cards. There might be a premium of $20-30 but they will drop prices.

>Amd never releases a card more expensive than the top performing Nvidia card
No shit, and they won't have to like I said, 1080 prices will be lower by that point
>Nvidia never drops prices until it releases new cards of their own
Which will be 1080ti by then, fuck you're an idiot

Whenever an AMDrone starts ranting about dx12 and how it will be terrible for Nvidia and fantastic for AMD.

Vega should come well before 1080ti

And I really doubt Vega will even compete with it and it'll have to aim for the 1080 price point. I'm betting an actual $550 to $599 msrp

>Vega should come well before 1080ti
I find that highly doubtful, there has been one unconfirmed rumour to suggest it, and it would literally be retarded for Nvidia to wait long enough to give AMD a chance to sell many of them.

They will most likely be faster (like with the 980ti) or release it right after vega launches.

this, will buy amd since not a hardcore gamer.

We'll see. I'm looking forward to prices dropping everywhere, and I'd Vega disappoints I'll be getting a 1080

>only 20% faster
>overclocks less than Ti

But hey at least it uses 40 less watts durr
That will be $700 for reference card thx

>comparing reference cards to aftermarket cards
At least wait for the aftermarket 1080 dummie, even the reference one hits 2000 mhz easily
