Which OS is the best for java development?

Which OS is the best for java development?

poo2loo

MenuetOS
The best OS for java is the one with no java

>best for java development

Literally anything.

I mainly see java in Windows shops.
Most Unix philosophy type people hate Java.

CentOS.

Undergraduate.

Mac OS X

>java development

>Which OS is the best for java development?
this

if youre gonna be gay you might as well go full gay.

kys

you misspelled "kiss"

>netbeans or eclipse
>not intellij
It's like you enjoy the IDE hanging for 10 minutes while it tries to query autocomplete.

Whatever pajeet uses because pajeet loves java

why does pajeet love so much?

Never had eclipse hang on a somewhat decent pc. Have waited approximately 2months of my life for gradle builds to finish in Android studio

man, i thought kys was just a kind of poison for all of two seconds
did anyone else think that before trying to think of the long version?

Any

Otherwise Linux.

But seriously, any.

That's not true at all

no

Yes it is. You'll never see a "Unix Guy" write in java.

Unix guys hate it, Linux guys don't.
It's really annoying how many shitty java programmers there are. For common applications it's a great language, but it's easier to release a shit-tier product without it crashing and burning.

Then why am I hired as devops in a company that only does Java and Red Hat.

Because you confuse Linux with Unix.
Don't worry its common.

Your post implied that there was Windows and Unix shops.

Windows 10

>OS
>for java

It doesnt matter as long as it has a jvm.

>java
>development
Is this 2006?

Solaris, obviously

Android.
Also, never use Java.

install gentoo

moi xd

he said: [k]eep [y]our [s]hit.

Shit's whack yo. No one actually likes java.

naturally JavaOS

Ubuntu.
Use Eclipse for an IDE if you want the easy way.
I suggest you first learn how to use the basic command line tools until you're comfortable with them, it's really worth it if your serious about java dev.

That's the only real answer you'll get ITT.

There's your problem, friend.
Only a masochist would use command line tools in windows.

install gentoo

Depends on the kind of Java dev you want to do.

If you want to make little gui apps, winderps is pretty much your go-to platform.

If you're wanting to do anything else OSX or linux is going to be your go-to platform.

I would recommend probably going full Debian and not trying to use OSX as a Unix substitute. OSX's new rootless security has fucked up the platform pretty hard, and I can only see it getting worse.

Man I would have boned Stefanie so hard at this point in time, first album gaga best gaga

i thought it means kill yourself

>that Just Dance suit
unf

still the most widely used language for years to come

whatever runs eclipse and/or netbeans

Doesn't even matter much.

I myself consider SBT the platform for my Java development. Plus some editor, usually IDEA.

I can throw the SBT thing to another machine and basically nothing changes.
