Honestly? I am not even mad.
Are you guys all forgetting that you all still have working computers?
All of this is meaningless to the average consumer. You choose the product, in this case a graphics card, to suit your needs and preferences. Taking it as a part of your personality is the worst form of faggotry most of the time unless you are working for that company, for which I can't blame you.
For people who do care, please for the love of _fuck_ wait until Polaris comes, and compare the 1070, not the 1080, to get a real measure of the AMD vs Nvidia conflict. the 1080 versus the Polaris arch. is apples to oranges. One is a high end card, the other is a product line designed for low-mid range users.
If you want to compare the 1080 to something, wait for Vega. That's the intended competitor. Is there anything wrong with AMD taking their time?
I don't give a single flying fuck about these benchmarks for now, until the time comes to replace my GTX 960 (of which I am very happy with), but I am open to either sticking with it, upgrading to a 1070 or switching to AMD's Polaris arch.
You guys should be thankful there are AMD shills AND Nvidia shills. Competition is the lifeblood of chip development, and Sup Forums for that matter. Discuss over interest in the technology, don't just whip your dick out and loudly proclaim one is better than the other without even taking in real-world information.
I for one don't actually quite know what Asynchronous Compute even does, or why it's so significant. It's just exciting hearing about developments on both sides, this is progress for the PC as a whole.
For those that are just going to call me a "gaymer" or consumershit faggot, wait a fucking minute and think what improvements to chip architecture can do for workstation cards too.
TL;DR this "argument" is stupid, you fuckwits don't even understand how the industry works or that it's just a fucking graphics card.
