Who wants to wait for some shitty mid range card? Nvidia won 2016

GTFO AMD SHILL

Mid range? Polaris 10 with GF+Samsung finfet 14nm are in active production and yields are excellent. They were tapping out compute performance over the furry x with gddr5 and discussion was abuzz about possible gddr5x memory controller from SKHynix.

Nice job shilling for nvidia and not wanting competition.
Off yourself.

Bump

Namefag btfo yet again

I'll take this blatant trolling any day over the alternative where no game developer ever takes advantage of A-Sync compute, ever. Products from both companies fully supporting these standards can only mean good things in the long run.

:^)

Why don't you post ALL the pictures, you fucking nVidiot?!

It's still not high end chip by AMD.

>nice job for shillimg and not wanting competition

>not wanting competition

As if there was any past 5 years, stop kidding yourself. Nvidia reigns supreme!

What is that 6 fps difference to a last gen card...

here
I was trying to highlight the fact that the 1080 is actually losing performance when activating Async at 4K, which would mean that Pascal is still really shit at Async and only marginally better at it compared to Maxwell.

In most games new Nvidia stomps older Nvidias and of course all of what AMD has to offer as usual

I never could have imagined that new shit would be faster than old shit.

Well, explain why you need a new gen card when it only differs in gaymes.

Honestly? I am not even mad.

Are you guys all forgetting that you all still have working computers?

All of this is meaningless to the average consumer. You choose the product, in this case a graphics card, to suit your needs and preferences. Taking it as a part of your personality is the worst form of faggotry most of the time unless you are working for that company, for which I can't blame you.

For people who do care, please for the love of _fuck_ wait until Polaris comes, and compare the 1070, not the 1080, to get a real measure of the AMD vs Nvidia conflict. the 1080 versus the Polaris arch. is apples to oranges. One is a high end card, the other is a product line designed for low-mid range users.

If you want to compare the 1080 to something, wait for Vega. That's the intended competitor. Is there anything wrong with AMD taking their time?

I don't give a single flying fuck about these benchmarks for now, until the time comes to replace my GTX 960 (of which I am very happy with), but I am open to either sticking with it, upgrading to a 1070 or switching to AMD's Polaris arch.

You guys should be thankful there are AMD shills AND Nvidia shills. Competition is the lifeblood of chip development, and Sup Forums for that matter. Discuss over interest in the technology, don't just whip your dick out and loudly proclaim one is better than the other without even taking in real-world information.

I for one don't actually quite know what Asynchronous Compute even does, or why it's so significant. It's just exciting hearing about developments on both sides, this is progress for the PC as a whole.

For those that are just going to call me a "gaymer" or consumershit faggot, wait a fucking minute and think what improvements to chip architecture can do for workstation cards too.

TL;DR this "argument" is stupid, you fuckwits don't even understand how the industry works or that it's just a fucking graphics card.

Personally I want bitching fast mobile chips. High performance stuff cannibalises prices of old ones and everything becomes cheaper.(sometimes)

New ones can run 4k @ 120hz and I'm quite sure old ones could not do that.

The price dropping is amazing. Nvidiots selling all their 970's for a small upgrade, I love it!

Thanks for using a trip though.
