I'll start: Is there any good FlagFox alternative for Chrom(ium)? The top part of the picture is the icon that FlagFox uses, while the bottom part is the icons of literally every single Chrome extension that tries to copy it. Additionally, as far as I can tell there are no Chrome extensions that even try to implement more than one or two of the features that FlagFox has integrated (VirusTotal, Google Translate, etc.) Is there an extension that I've missed, or am I forced to just abandon FlagFox if I want to switch to Chrome?
I downloaded a wallet.js file that seemed suspicious but I just wanted to make sure I put it straight into a zip and deleted the loose file before putting it on virus total These were the results I have no idea how viruses work so would my PC have been comprimised by just downloading the loose file?
Dylan Long
Is it possible to install the GNU userland on SysV UNIX? How would i go about this?
Logan Gray
>would my PC have been comprimised by just downloading the loose file? Only if you actually executed it. JavaScript, like everything else, can't just magically run and compromise your computer by being near it.
Mason Morris
Question, how is it that some gpus are good at video editing and 3d rendering stuff but apparently arent good for video games. Like quadro and geforce or radeon and whatever amds equivalent is
Tyler Richardson
that's good to know, I didn't touch the thing
Jayden Thomas
They are also very good at video games, they're just specifically designed for a different task so they are comparatively bad at the task that they weren't designed for. Or if you meant the actual reason that it's possible, it's because the architecture is different.
Jeremiah Evans
Yeah im curious about the architecture thing. I would have though since quadro is good for rendering and 3d rendering that it should be better than consumer geforce cardi honestly have no idea how a video card works or how amd and nvidia cards are better for different thinga (like bitcoin mining).
No the microwaves can leak out and give you cancer
Robert Powell
what the fuck is a microwave powered car? Hmmm... I guess that you mount a rectenna on an electric car and beam microwaves at it. Like 30 KW over 1.5 km has been demonstrated with like 80% efficiency. Cars are already almost faraday cages, by putting mesh or transparent conductor in the windows the whole car would be microwave safe.
Keeping the beam on the car would be a pain in the ass though.
Jack Ross
what the fuck is wake on lan for?

Is anyone else getting problems with github?

how to reinstall windows 10 from an iso
Eli Ortiz
You can send a specific packet from another device in the network to power on the computer.
You might even be able to do it remotely if you have a router that is configured to allow that packet through its firewall but I'm not 100% sure on that. Could be useful if you need to turn your computer on at a certain time and you're not around.
Should be a tool to make an ISO or bootable USB here.
Jack Watson
If I roll back my Windows 10 installation and then later want to upgrade again after the free upgrade period expires, will I be able to do so? I'm assuming that since my device has already been activated I would be able to but not 100% sure on that.
Jackson Perez
I believe so
Michael Long
What was that image host website that would post emails/letters they got for copyright shit? I thought it was pomf but I don't see it on the website
Xavier Richardson
Why the fuck is java designed in such an infuriating way? >can't create an array of generic types >even if the type is declared beforehand >you literally can't create an array of fucking pointers >pointers are banned in java so you can't even do it manually what the fuck is wrong with these fucking retards all I wanted to do was be able to index a bunch of lists without running through ten thousand to get to list number ten thousand and one. What fucking moron though this was a good idea.
Jaxson Bell
So I recently updated my Acer Switch to windows 10, and now I can't get any audio out of it, and it wont pick up my microphone.
I've tried updating drivers and shit, and that doesn't work. Sounds looks like it's playing, with the green bars bouncing around, but not even a peep plays. Send help?
Jeremiah Sanders
can install more ram on a laptop?
Josiah Brown
Yes, but it depends on the laptop how much you can install

bit of a laterally-related question, used Linux for over a decade at home now, only use Wangblows at work because I have no choice, I need to git gud at SSIS and need to install a Wangblows VM to install the SSIS toolset, what's the slimmest version of Wangblows I can use and still run a reasonably-decent version of SSIS? Server 2003? Server 2000??
Chase Brown
>Wangblows
Never heard of it

I have a 2 TB external HDD with Linux installed it, and I've made the home partition take up all the free space left (1,4TB free as of now)
I have a 500 GB SSD with Windows on it.
How do I switch them, keeping both of them bootable?

Pajeet here If I want to get a job in foreign does the employers only care about your degree? Since the best marks and degrees are given to those who don't have any practical skills and are shit at programming. >I am doing engineering in IT

how do i get nm-applet to run without any panels installed?

check if clonezilla can do it, but I wonder if it will not require free space to move them

What are some good Sup Forums related 3dprints? I tried a raspi case, but it turned out too small and ripped my sd card slot straight off, and now I'm printing a robot arm for arduino.
Grayson Green
Is there a place where I can get standard keyboards? Nobody seems to sell these anymore, it's always gaymer stuff with custom LEDs and other things, and I don't want these because they break easily and they bother me.
Angel Torres
CPU-Z says that my RAM speed is 666 Mhz, but I they are marketed as being 1600 Mhz, is this just an idle thing?
Isaac Morgan
why?
Noah Edwards
are there any decent CPU overclocking programs for windows?

I have an issue were my mouse pointer becomes "invisible" I can still interact with window/buttons but I simply can't see it. I can get it back after rebooting or starting another Xsession from different tty What's causing it? Could it be WM issues? I'm on arch with XFCE4

If you take a lossy file, say an MP3, and transcode it to a FLAC, does that file now behave like a true lossless file, in that it will not suffer any further loss of quality when being transcoded to different lossless formats?
Adam Ross
No, a lossy file file transcoded into a lossless file doesn't increase its quality. It's also considered to be a bad idea because the lossy quality of the audio file still persists even after the transcode. Avoid transcoding lossy files to lossless, it's a bad idea.
Caleb Martin
Kaspersky, AVG, Webroot. All of them are very good and come with cheap subscription renewal plans.
Dominic Robinson
You completely missed the point of the question.
I'm well aware of how lossy and lossless files behave and how generational loss works. What I am asking, is if a lossy file transcoded to a lossless format will now _behave_ like a lossless file, in that it will be subject to no FURTHER generational loss should it be transcoded between lossless formats again. I am aware that the initial lossy > lossless transcode has already subject the file to one transcode's worth of generational loss.
Gabriel Jenkins
No it won't suffer any more loss in quality, it'll just be bigger in size because flacs are larger than most lossy formats. So really, you achieved nothing in the end, all you did was make your files a bit bigger.
Parker Moore
why is the answer (b)?
Isaiah Jenkins
I saw your other question in a thread yesterday. Are you just going to use Sup Forums to do all your homework?
Christopher Hernandez
i deal with alot of malware through my job and most samples i submit are missed by all major vendors except kaspersky.
Joseph Fisher
Dude. Converting to a lossless format is always a lossless operation. That is all. Your question makes no sense.
Dominic Kelly
>I am aware that the initial lossy > lossless transcode has already subject the file to one transcode's worth of generational loss.
And this is wrong.
Liam Lewis
Lossy OR Lossy > Lossless will have better quality than Lossy > Lossless > Lossy
Austin Walker
Nah, not homework just going through practice tests. There's no explanation for this shit thats the problem
Also bump. This isn't a sqt for nothing

How do I save and display an image or video from command line in one command? Like: wget i.4cdn.org/g/1463742163449.png feh /default/save/location/1463742163449.png But one command?
40 inches isn't bad, but if you go for more than 50 inches from that distance I'd recommend getting a 4k tv. Also, if you can help it don't fall for the smart tv meme. It's a few extra hundred dollars and you get the same functionality if you just go and buy a $35 chromecast.
Amazon and Newegg both have normal keyboards. Just set a cheap price range of like under $50 and then sort by best selling.
When I was using windows 7 it would usually idle around 1gb minimum, so I wouldn't recommend using windows 7 with anything less than 3gb ram.
Nathaniel Williams
Ok so when i try compile this program i do
>./Configure then pic related happens, so i do make and it says >make: *** No targets specified and no makefile found. Stop. But there is a makefile.anf in the current directory?
Why is it doing this
Nolan Thomas
Thanks, I'm definitely not falling for the smart tv memes, just connecting my pc with hdmi is all the smart stuff I'll ever need. I'm gonna go with 48in I think.
Christopher James
why does my utorrent keep crashing when i try to run it?
Luis Fisher
The fact that it's crashing isn't the problem. The problem is that you're still using utorrent. Switch to qbittorrent or deluge.
Isaac Myers
seems that you don't have a compiler installed
Jace Torres
Did you uninstall the previous version?
Jaxson Harris
So I'm pulling my hair out trying to figure out how to create webms.
I'm able to create them with ffmpeg, no problem, but apparently there's an issue with the way it's compressing the audio.
Can someone please help me understand how vorbis works?
Samuel Williams
-c:a libvorbis
Anthony Walker
Thank you.
Hudson Long
i uninstalled it completely and when i want to install it again i get the crash notification
Chase Jackson
Can you post your command line arguments? Here is how I make webms with sound for fourchan ffmpeg -y -i poop.mkv -threads 8 -c:a libvorbis -b:a 96K -c:v libvpx -b:v 2M -qmin 0 -qmax 0 -slices 8 -lag-in-frames 25 poop.webm Audio bitrate will have a significant impact on file size, 64K should be enough for anyone. ;3
Ethan Price
Have you tried turning it off and back on again
Lucas Edwards
THanks, but now i seem to get this.....
sorry i'm pretty new
Lincoln Brown
Uninstall it completely and then install a different bittorrent client.
Ryan Martinez
Just adding -c:a libvorbis solved the problem I was having there. Here's the stuff that worked anyway. Tell me if I should be doing anything different.
is there a better file manager /media manager tha thunar? i'd like to improve the management of my porn collection
Ethan Torres
which one would you recommend?
Liam Price
qbittorrent, deluge, or transmission.
Matthew Walker
I need a communication expert advice, Will upgrading from NanoStation 5 to NanoBridge M5 will help with my connection speed?
Luis Gutierrez
i have a r9 290 and used msi afterburner to change clock speeds. I increased clock too much and how the card black screens on startup which is fine i knew it would happen eventually. I disabled the profile to run on startup after restart but it does anyway and i don't know how to go back to default without uninstalling drivers. Am i just an idiot, missing something obvious?
Jonathan Young
i'm on intel integrated graphics now.
Dominic Cox
is it possible to prevent android from using my SD Card? I just want to use my sd card for personal storage I don't want it to be cluttered with folders generated by android (DCIM, LOST.dir etc)
>-threads 8 Does it matter what's your CPU is? What should I use if I have Core i5? And what's ffmpeg default?
Luis Watson
How do I figure out what computer parts I need? I'm installing security cameras (about a dozen of them) and I want to use ZoneMinder to manage them all. I know I need to build a decent computer to host this system, but I'm not sure how to translate "decent" into actual hardware. I've never been into gaming, never really had to build a computer before. I know next to nothing about hardware, what brands are good, etc.
Oliver Wood
No, the phone is going to need to make a few files in the sd card so it can make use of it, but these folders take up a negligible amount of space.
Levi Lee
Am seeking to do a new build, focused on the PC being as quiet as possible.
I want to do a Mini-ITX build, with: >16gb DDR4 >Skylake i5 >H170N ITX Mobo >Stock CPU Cooler >500gb SSD >Cooler Master 130 ITX Case >No GPU
Do you think this would be relatively quiet, apart from fans whirring?
Or should I go through with a Micro-ATX build for the sake of having a high quality noise-dampening case? Regardless of which way I go the internals are going to be the same.
Also is a CX430M enough to power this all, if I make sure NOT to throw in a GPU as well?
Justin Turner
Hey anyone has that regex to filter all "general" boards?
Brandon Campbell
I downloaded the Lion King for DOS and every fucking link includes a huge ass 3.1 MB file. How the fuck am I supposed to put that onto a floppy?
David Ortiz
Shouldn't be loud unless you're doing something that's using a lot of ram, and from how much you're using it doesn't look like it should be a problem.
