Alright Sup Forums here is a tough one

What is the best android music player that can do the following?
>play opus
>correctly read embedded album art
>play/pause on lock screen
>not a god awful ui

There has to be one out there somewhere, android music players can't all be just a big meme.

Also bonus points if it has the following
>folder browsing
>album thumbnails

>opus

Use AAC and get over it OP

And what shitty pajeet phone do you have? Android supports opus since 5.0, every player should be able to play it if your phone isn't a big meme.

Apollo.

Galaxy s5 with stock 5.0. Neither blackplayer nor shuttle support opus natively.

foobar2k
just wait for user skins or make your own

Android 5.0 adds native opus decoding, so any player which uses the Android Music API or whatever will be able to play opus.
I use GMMP which is pretty decent, but I don't know if it has lockscreen controls.

Dumb memers.

mxplayer

VLC

I love Phonograph

phonograph
three only decent media player with option to read embedded album art instead of shitty mediastore cached covers

The new Poweramp alpha might be worth a shot.

GoneMAD is the only player that meets this.

It supports Opus in video files, not seperately.

>AAC
>the finest of 90s audio technology

I use GoneMad Music Player
GMMP

Poweramp

Does no one use Poweramp on Android???

Poweramp doesn't do Opus, at least the stable version doesn't

Only in a MKV container, so effectively useless for what most people want it for.

GoneMad Music Player

Poweramp is extremely popular, doesn't support Opus, and is extremely outdated. I own both Poweramp and GMMP and have for years. One of those two kept up with the times and one didn't.
