So after the GTX 1070 announcement I decided to buy it and go for a total system overhaul.
The components I've decided on so far are:
>CPU Intel i5-6600 >GPU GTX 1070 >RAM 16GB, don't know which one yet (any recommendations?) >SSD still looking around (any recommendations?) >CPU cooler also still looking around (any recommendations?) >Mainboard I'm gonna need your guys' help here. I'm pretty much ignorant when it comes to MBs. What should I get? I'm not into overclocking so some 80-100 dollar board would be fine by me.
Have fun being inferior while Chad buys a 1080 and fucks your woman in front of you.
>16GB
Topkek, faggot. Real men go 32. But I forget, you're a cuck.
>SSD >2016 >not storing your files on holographic fifth-dimensional hyperdisks
>CPU Cooler >not going with two 480 rads per core
>mainboard I'll bet this faggot won't even get LEDs on his board. Makes it go faster, cuckbag.
Fuck you.

>Chad has higher fps than you and fucks your woman

Uhm, okay...

>Intel i5-6600 6500 is better price:performance. >GTX 1070 Wait for Polaris specs, coming in a week. >16GB You get the cheapest pair of 8GB sticks you can find. >SSD Samsung 850 EVO in whatever size fits your budget. 500GB is the cheapest per GB. >HSF You aren't overclocking, just get the CM 212. >Mainboard You aren't overclocking. Get whatever has the ports you need. If you don't know what ports you need then put all your parts into PCPartpicker, and sort by price. Let the compatibility filter do it for you.

>1070 polaris and the 1080 are going to cuck you

get fucked beta cuck
Austin Murphy
I don't need such a monster GPU for 1080p.
Ethan Garcia
Don't listen to this retard.
Don't cheap out on the CPU ever also the rram make it at least 2400mhz memory, Skylake scales great with faster memory.
Owen Davis
Would you say the i5-6600 is good enough?
And regarding RAM, is this okay? Corsair Vengeance LPX DIMM Kit 2x8GB, DDR4-2400, CL14-16-16-31 (€68)
Justin Turner
ever? even for gaymen?
it's not a PSU, you only buy as much power as you need, and there's not much the CPU will bottleneck. A 6500 should be fine for that or really just about anything.
If he said AMD that would be different.
Although I do think it's odd you'd go 6500 and not full 6600, looking at the passmark page for power/price ratio I don't see that much of a difference.
Cool thank you! Though I'm gonna use my old case and PSU. The PSU is only 650W but that should be fine.

His build is fine, however I optimized the storage part a bit(while making it cheaper as well), pcpartpicker.com/p/ZLcYcc it's better to pick up the non m.2 850 evo it's cheaper and has the same speeds, also his HDD was 5200 rpm which is slow, so I picked an 7200rpm one from hitachi (which also has lower failure rates), gl on your new build
Aiden Campbell
You don't even need a 1070. 480/480x for 200/250$ look insanely promising on leaked benchmarks (there was a thread this morning, like 480x beating a 980). 1070 will be slightly better for around 400$, so you're just a retarded piece of shit if you buy green in this scenario.
Also >6600 Get the k or get the 6500/6400. Waste of cash otherwise
Matthew Johnson
>WD >Not waiting for zen >Corsair >Not waiting for polaris Do you enjoy being a retard?
Samuel Bennett
What's wrong with WD and Corsair?
Logan Hill
>Not waiting for pascal and then upgrading to vega i know that feel my gaming pc has been out of action for weeks but just do that build or something else like a xeon x99 and then pop a used 290 in there until something better comes out
Justin Powell
far better alternatives exist
Jace Robinson
What do you suggest? Samsung? Seagate? Kingston?
Ryan Turner
>Ordering 1070/1080 >Implying you won't get cucked by NVIDIA again >Implying they won't pull a memecard 2.0
Remember when the 970 was shilled as the 2nd coming of Jesus on Sup Forums and everywhere else and everyone blindly bought one?
Unless you're fucking retarded you wait before getting it.
Nolan Walker
Hard drives: Seagate RAM: Gskill and Crucial
Jordan Mitchell
>Go to /fit/ "FRAME, HEIGHT, FACE" Chad is ripped and eats pizza muh genetics >Go to Sup Forums "FRAME, POWER, BUILD" Chad is rich and buys 32gb of ram and a 1080 muh money
What is life coming to, fuck Chad I just want to be me
>CPU If going skylake you should probably spend the extra money on the I7 6600k for hyperthreading because it will futureproof your build when games start utilizing it. >GPU Might want to wait for AMD as their GPU's seem to be offering around the same level of performance at cheaper price (like usual) >RAM 16gb is enough unless you are video editing a lot >SSD Samsung 850 EVO-Series 500GB 2.5" Solid State Drive >CPU Cooler Kraken X-61 for overclocking or Hydro 100i (Hyper 212 if you want something cheap and don't want to overclock) but then change CPU to I7 6700 (non k) >Mainboard MSI Z170A GAMING M5 ATX LGA1151 Motherboard (or Asus Z170-A if you want to go for something cheaper) there is also the Gigabyte GA-Z170X-Gaming 5.
David Baker
Seagate is garbage, especially the Barracuda. I've owned two and they both failed on me within the first two years of use.
If using HDD then Western Digital Black for reliability.
Anthony Cook
sorry meant I7 6700k
Camden Gutierrez
"This" meme again
Jason Anderson
Polaris wont get near. They are mid ranged cards (basically a 390x but lower power usage) You fucking pleb
Dominic Perez
polaris 10 will match the 1070 with less power consumption
