Which tech scam has the best chance of success?

A. IBM's Watson ever accomplishing anything

B. Lockheed's fusion reactor ever happening at all

Ibms watson is still developement. Lockheed isnt doing any such thing

>success

IBM is using Watson to advertise which drives up the price of IBM stock. I'd call that a success.

Lockheed would be better off figuring out how to build a fusion reactor that doesn't cost as much to build. Then they could build a shit ton in the third world and become gods.

>Lockheed isnt doing any such thing

But they are

Their entire gimmick is that its a super small design that can fit on the back of a semi, and do just what you describe

subway sonic vacuum train musk talking about sounds promising

okay, the heck are europeans building then for the last 30(?) years?

Do you not understand the distinction between a scam and research?

Off the top of my head they have CERN and CCFE.

>SOLAR FREAKIN ROADWAYS!1!
the freanchies are actually doing it, the absolute madfrogs popularmechanics.com/technology/infrastructure/news/a19362/france-planning-over-600-miles-solar-panel-roads/

>mfw we could be using modern day nuclear fission reactors for all of our power
>would be safe and leave almost no hazardous waste with reprocessing
>isn't a reality because the average human is retarded and thinks we're still using the same reactor design from the 60's

watson is a very good concept and finding, comparing and rating data is very useful for many different fields.

Lockheed will never build the fusion reactor. I don't know why a big company like them announced it but it's "kickstarter-scam" tier pop science that ignores simple thermodynamics and discredits the researchers working on the tech in a serious way

Greenpeace got cucked though.

China is doing Thorium, the madmen are actually making the pipe dream a reality as they see it as their only way to get off the coal choking them literally to death.

Not in some indeterminable future either, they want the first plants online by 2025...

Then they too, will be able to sell nuclear reactors and fuel to other nations.

Hyperloop

Linux. Total fucking scam. They even have a hand full of people who seriously work and develop for it. Then every for months a different distro comes out to keep the hamsters mesmerized. If it was a real thing they should work on one properly working distro just like how Lockheed should work on a properly working reactor.

I hope it goes well for them, if only because maybe the success of a country who can barely keep bridges from collapsing building a working "clean" reactor would finally fuckin open the eyes of the west

for=few*

Furthest nuclear fusion project in the world, south France.

...

Gonna have to go with watson. Lockheed's fusion reactor seems to be more of a publiciry stunt than a serious effort. There are supposedly big problems with the design

And it got delayed yet again:

"big problems" as in, no-one who has experience in fusion research seems to think it is a viable concept at all.

Not a surprise for ITER.
ITER combines two masterpieces of delayed timeplans: Fusion, and international collaboration.
It really doesn't stand a chance.

OP, Watson has a much higher chance of achieving something.

Think about it, it already has. You can ask it a question in natural language and it can give you an answer.
