I checked out the source, seems to be legit. Some stuff is a few months old though. No user data. That folder of screenshots seem to be irrelevant.
The folders seem to be master downloads of his git(hub) repos, not checkouts unfortunately, those would have been way more fun. Maybe his private key leaked or someone broke into his github account.
This doesn't really matter that much. Peppy wanted to open source the game client anyway, and the new site source code is public too. He didn't want the anti cheat code online (is it even in the leaks?) and the old site is some pretty shitty PHP so that can't be good either.
Anyway not the end of the world.
