VDSL, is it possible to get decent speeds at 400m?

VDSL, is it possible to get decent speeds at 400m?

Nope, you can't even get decent speeds at 30m.

Oh wait, I just noticed this is VDSL2.

I have 6.6MB/s at 300m's

Fuuuuuuug

That's the fastest I can get tho where I live right now, but the latency and speed are great, a 6MB file really does download under 1 second.

Depend on what you consider decent.
I am at about 500m and the modem report 10.496 / 66.256 (up / down kb/s).

10kbs ?

thats fuck all m80

do you mean 10,496?

Yes, I ment 10496 kb/s.

that's over 4 times what i get

Depends on the copper cable quality, but you should get around 60mbit/s

Seriously?

yea, i can just scrape 1.5MB/s

Aw shit

Make sure you bank the cable at a slight incline when going around corners to prevent the bits from flying off the track, you would be surprised, they travel at over 1800 km/h, so try to keep the bends at a minimum.

-- and the fastest internet i've used could do ~3MB/s

i can hardly imagine 6.6MB/s internet

lol :D

i'm 300m ish and get full 80/20.

>FTTN
LOL your fucked its gonna be conguested as all fuck VDSL2 was horrible 15 years ago

I'm on 20/1 now so anything will be better

Craigieburn?

FTTN will be scrapped soon anyway.

There is a node being installed 50m from my house, how long does it take for them to upgrade the lines?
