Udemy has a great course from the guy who wrote automate the boring stuff with Python for $35, which i would recommend along with Python crash course. Pluralsight has a ton of Python courses as well.
Just don't use learn Python the hard way. It's out of date.

Was thinking about writing something in ASP.NET because I know Java pretty well but its' MVC frameworks are garbage, but ASP isn't easy to learn because you need to use bloated IDE's and the only documentation is super convoluted and hard-to-find.
