Is there really no better option for a PC chair around $300?

Is there really no better option for a PC chair around $300?

I don't care how it looks, it's just that these chairs are highly functional and seem fairly comfortable.

I know the super high end chairs like steelcase are the best but I don't want to pay that much for a chair.

It's just that the standard $100 leather office chair I currently have is crap overall after only a year and is starting to break.

What do you fuckers sit in?

most of these places have a 30 day return policy anyways right? Was thinking GT omega

The macbook of desk chairs.

Holy shit tech turds and gaymers are cut from the same cloth. Who would honestly sit in that gaudy looking piece of shit.

I don't care what it looks like if it's functional and comfy

Try MicroCenter.

microcenter.com/search/search_results.aspx?ntt=Chair

My local one has nice comfy chairs I sat in. I'm getting the one for $150.

All we have are Fry's

>functional
Which functions are you talking about? Counteracting the gravitational attraction between Earth and your ass? I assume you mean it's ergonomic or something.

Anyway I sit in a chair that you'd get at like a furniture store (which is where I got it). Four legs, upholstered. Think of like a nice chair for a posh dinner table. It's perfectly comfortable.

Now I also used to have one of those $100 chairs (actually $60 thanks IKEA) but the faux leather started falling apart and it intermittently starts sinking. I'm not even overweight so basically it's just a piece of shit. But I took the back off, dropped it to the low position it favors anyway and now I use it as a footrest beneath my desk.

is it comfy OP?

You can get an ergonomic mesh of similar quality for ~200 less.

MicroCenter Employee here. the AKRacing chair is actually awesome biuld quality as well as being comfy. and the inland cheapos arent bad but probobly wont last to long comparing the 2

I mean you can adjust the chair like a 100 different ways

>AKRacing
that one's closer to 400 on amazon

amazon.com/AKRACING-AK-7002-Ergonomic-Executive-Racing/dp/B00PKTEKN4

GT omega is $250 ish

I dunno, seems a whole lot of gimmick to me. My busted IKEA chair was height adjustable and reclined, yet always stayed at a regular chair height to match my regular desk. Reclining also sucked without a place to put up my feet, which your space ship chair lacks and yet I now have. It's just a chair. If you get uncomfortable, stand up for a few minutes. It's good for you anyway.

They're all pretty similar, but they seem pretty solid, probably not worth $250, and I already have an old chair I can use a foot rest, my current office chair can't recline.

youtube.com/watch?v=E0Y6G2q0rIM

I've gotta say, I've never understood the appeal of chair arms on a desk chair. The full recline looks pretty neat but I'll be damned if I ever trusted it like he did. Looks way too close to turning him into a quad.

The DX Racer chairs can go beyond 180 degrees if I remember right

I'd recommend you look at local office surplus sellers. They may have steelcase, herman miller,, or haworth chairs for much much less than retail.

I got a Haworth very task with all the upgrades for $200 it is significantly better than any of that racecar chair bullshit.

I think I'll just get some DX Racer sheets for my bed.

the great thing about dxracer type chairs, is they stay reclined with zero user effort. i have not seen another computer chair do that. i have only tried a chair that a friend had and i am reluctant to spend $400 on a chair.

speaking of chairs anyone have a good recommendation I could order off amazon? Maybe around $200 or less. Needs to be Amazon because shipping from elsewhere would be retarded and I have prime.

I bought the cheapest possible DXRacer chair (fabric one) and I find that it's actually really comforable. People like to shit on them because it's too mainstream since every streamer and youtuber shills them but they actually are nice and fairly durable. They are a bit overpriced for what they are but if you don't care about getting the max possible value/$ it's still a decent buy. And you'll find they aren't THAT much more than other chairs of similar shape/build quality (at least here in Canada).

My only complaint is that the plastic on one of the armrests cracked but that's because I lean with my arm in a wierd way and the same thing happened to all my previous chairs aswell.

There are also a few cheap Ikea models that get recommended on here repeatedly in chair threads, those are probably the best value/$ but I've sat in them at department stores and I like my DXRacer better.

Just get a nice office chair from a furniture store instead of buying your furniture from the same place you buy your computer components.

Why would you buy a chair that can explode up your bum? Buy a chair with 4 legs.

I forgot that was even a possibility

You faglets circlejerk about everything, right?
If you don't know anything about technology, just choose a different board.

Go to an used furniture store
I got pic related for $200 in near new condition, minus a small dent you can't even see unless you look for it
It retails for $500 new
You might, MIGHT, be able to find a used Steelcase Leap in good condition for $300 but those usually go for closer to $400-$500 if you want them in pristine condition

Ill be using my KAB ACS Executive for th next 15 years. Aftet that ill buy another one or re-upholster this one with pics of bridget regan

This user knows what's up.

There is no better chair than IKEA Markus.

It only costs around 200$, its comfortable and ergonomic as fuck and they give you 10 YEARS WARRANTY.

>Putting a tattooed trash-tv slag on your chair
ISHYDDT

They were for a role and she is pure REEE

I got a herman miller for 150€ comfy as fuck

>2014+ 2 and 1/2
>not using regular recliner/living room chair as computer chair
What is gone wrong with the world?

I've tried, but my desk would have to be much higher to accommodate a recliner. I could get an adjustable desk or drafting table but it seems an unnecessary expense.

DxRacer is the best thing that happened to my back in a while.

Easily best $300 I've ever spent.

...

Absolutely disgusting.

Do they have non gaymer looking ones?

Not him but they have some that don't come with awful colour schemes, you won't be able to escape the logo though.

I have a gt omega and if you are above 6' 1 it probably won't be very comfortable. If you are smaller than that then it is a good chair, pretty comfy.

Been looking at these, the 10 year warranty is tempting considering my current chair's gas canister is not working after 2 years.

Fuck staples, their quality has seriously tanked lately.

Pretty sure the 10 year warranty is on the seat mechanism, not the chair itself. The chair part is underwhelming personally and it's design causes me to slouch like a motherfucker.

just put some black tape over the logo

It looks even better in person.

I don't get all the hate.

Do you want a boring black chair?

I am thoroughly enjoying your sceptical posts.

Also, not adjustable at all.

Some people say it's shit.

Some people say you're a fag.

this

sitting in mine right now its gr8

>getting so butthurt over a chair

Don't cry, faggot.

The gas cylinder is replaceable. How easily depends on the chair design. I had to use a large hammer and two people to knock mine out from its clamp, but replacing was easy.

A heavy duty extra long gas cylinder goes for 20EUR here.

This.

amazon.com/Proline-II-ProGrid-Chair-Black/dp/B00450P182

Just ordered this yesterday, actually. Hope it's not complete shit, but anything is better than this current $50 Staples junker. The seat padding is basically flattened out after only a year and I'm only 5'11" 155lbs

>race car gaming chair
How else could you handle those lateral G forces?

Dxracer chairs would fit with the whole racecar bed thingy y'all have

...

I just want a big comfy armchair on wheels, is that too much to ask?

...

Nope.

1. Acquire big comfy armchair
2. Add wheels

my laptop looks like shit (and it's called the fucking "dominator") but it was the best non-itx portable computer my money could buy.

people will sacrifice aesthetic if the only options that fit a certain criteria look like shit.

>Racer 'gamer' chairs
>Ikea chairs

Y'all bitches posting in a troll thread.

Buy a used Herman Miller or Steelcase.

If you're too poor to afford a real chair, go get an armless task chair at Office Depot/Max for $100. They won't last, but they're a hell of a lot more comfortable for long periods of sitting and better for you than these meme chairs and executive/high backs.

200 used? 500 new?

this has to be bait

It is funny a guy is telling me how comfortable the chair I own is after long periods of use and yet it does not match up with my findings..and i own the chair and am posting from after having worked a full day in it..and my back again feels better since I went from my old traditional office style chair I used for yrs.

Why are you so full of shit kid?

I could have afforded any chair I wanted. I make good money. These chairs are not bad at all. Sure some of the colors combos are cringy..but the chair design itself is a good design.

So fuck off and enjoy sitting on your net stretched over a hole and say how great it is because they over charge for it. My ass don't need the venting your fat one does I am betting.

>Sure some of the colors combos are cringy..but the chair design itself is a good design.
L
M
A
O

I have a car with A Bride seat in it and also a factory R34 seat. The designs are very very similar.
So you are saying seats with this design are shit..right? Just want to make sure we are qualifying your opinion kid.
It's funny a shitload of engineers seem to disagree with you.
You are a brand bitch...that's pretty clear. It's okay. I laugh at my girl when she buys Burberry too, so I know your type well. Enjoy your netting.

>muh car

Yes, because the interior of your car should like like your work space.

Christ this has to be bait.

8/10.

wow..you're parent really did fail with you huh? No, if you think a snug seat design makes a desk look like a care..then you have some other issues to deal with it appears. A supportive seat design lifted from the auto industry and applied to office furniture does not make an office the interior of a car.

Now, meme speak some more. It is the classic Sup Forums response after all. ;)

I guess the only questions I have for you are just how fat are you and what do you actually own..not your mom or dad..but you?

>A supportive seat design lifted from the auto industry and applied to office furniture does not make an office the interior of a car.

Yes it does.

You even stated that the seats are "very similar"

I use ergonomic office chairs that are designed to actually look professional. But by all means, please enjoy your man-child ricer shit.

yeah typos happen.
your, car.

What materials should I look for in a chair if I want comfort? Im looking for a non-mesh one because I dont want to feel im still in the office working.

Just go to an office surplus store and get one that's not mesh.

A chair such as? C'mon, brand, model, no lies.
And are you professional? I mean you work in an office? I do..rather large well known company. You should see the variety of shit people sit on.
C'mon, admit it. You are a teenager who thinks he is not a 'normie' and thinks that with pride...right?

not using a stressless recliner
lol

Looks comfy as fuck. Why are you wasting like 30% of your desk space though?

wasting with what?

And leg room. I mean can you even sit up to your desk when you need to?

You've walled off a corner of your desk with your monitor for what looks to be a lamp.

>He didn't buy a used herman miller aeron
well worth it mate well worth it

I can but I never do.
95-100% of the time Iam in more of a lying position.

Herman Miller you poorfags.

yes thats a lamp in the left corner.
what should there be instead? I dont wanna fucking cluster my desk with shit or just put shit there just because I have the space.

There is NO better option for under $300 than the combo above. It's super comfy, tons of options, and a good warranty.

I have one, I sit in it 7-8 hours straight no problem. I also have an aeron I use, it's a better chair sure, but it's a lot more expensive.

I suffer from an autoimmune disease that has destroyed my Lowe spine and hips, so a good chair is a must for me. Markus does the job, aeron is better, but Markus is good, especially for $200.

The Office Depot Fauxron.

please dont buy this retarded race car bed shit that all of your favorite video gaem mans try to sell you

for all budgets:
officedepot.com/a/products/604924/WorkPro-1000-Series-Mid-Back-Mesh/

officedepot.com/a/products/510830/WorkPro-Quantum-9000-Series-Ergonomic-Mesh/

officedepot.com/a/products/690690/WorkPro-Quantum-9000-Series-Ergonomic-Mesh/

These are actual ergonomic chairs that have all of the same appeal as the aeron, not this race car chinkshit.

Otherwise get a used aeron from a local piedpiper.

what do you guys think of this chair? staples.com/Staples-Hyken-Technical-Mesh-Task-Chair-Black/product_990119

>every chair the same, a net stretched over a hole.

Really? Just how much swamp ass do you suffer from to have to live this way?

I guess it is convenient the Dorito and Cheetos powders and various crumbs that escape your mouth can fall to the floor through your chair versus accumulating on it.

I can see how these would work great for you and those of similar misfortune..

>A chair such as? C'mon, brand, model, no lies.

For someone who accuses others of being a "brand fag" you sure are concerned with brands.

Look dude, I work for a large university that uses all sorts of Steelcase, HM, Humansolution, etc. but even the garbage chairs in lecture halls look better than this gaymen crap that you keep telling yourself looks "cool."

Sorry your workplace is shit and can't offer employees decent chairs. Maybe wait for a promotion.

Are you even trying?

>ref

O I am laffin

A lot of the higher end designs use mesh, but generally don't have a totally mesh bottom, i.e. you're sitting on padding, see the prince of office chairs the Aeron for an example.

I'm pretty tall/skinny and live and work in places with AC so I never get sweaty while sitting but the mesh is much nicer than, say this abomination: >those pillows

I can't believe I wasted money on a gaymen chair back in high school.

>Markus
>Good

The power of marketing, folks.

It's good when you can get it for $90-$100.

It's not the most comfortable thing despite all the good reviews. The mesh stretches quickly, the staples come out, the rated hours are much higher than reality. Had way better luck for a $150 task chair from Office Depot.

thanks for the input, I'll look into that

you mean the design that every expensive chair in the world that is designed by actual PHDs and ergonomics experts and used by actual professionals?

enjoy your race car chair, retard. my only regret was not realizing what a fruitful business endeavor repurposing things designed for 5 year olds for full grown autists with lots more money to throw away was before everyone else did.

I have one. Its not that bad senpai.

I cringe every time I see some dumbass in a DXRacer, Maxnomic, etc. racing chair.

What in the actual fuck are people thinking? That a "GAMING" chair is somehow better to sit in? How about the companies that supply offices worldwide where people sit on their ass hours every day, year after year? I'd imagine they have their shit together and know what makes a good chair. Here's the real difference: ergonomics. Enjoy your fucked up back at age 30.

>currently typing this from my Steelcase Gesture

ur a fucking idiot. its not about the racing you moron. the chair is actually decent. If i had the money I'd get a steelcase leap but the dxracer aren't bad value/money. it's not that they are "GAMUR CHAIRS"

you can get both steelcase leaps and hermanmiller aerons/mirras for around 2-400 usd on craigslist and from office furniture resellers. i have a steelcase leap v2 which i like a lot but i honestly think the v1 is sturdier

Why do you keep calling mesh chair users fatasses when they have less weight capacity than a man child chair?

you can sell anything to manchildren.

I hope you find success in your life with this token of knowledge.

If you can fork over that much money why not just save a few more NEET bucks and get a decent open box / lightly used actual professional chair from an office supply store or ebay?
