Wouldn't it be cool if each post displayed the information from which operating system and browser it was posted from?

it would be like Sup Forums's country flags, but Sup Forums related

something like
2ch dot hk/s

Other urls found in this thread:

panopticlick.eff.org/
twitter.com/AnonBabble

It is entirely possible, although some people wouldn't like it and others would fork Firefox with joke names, were you ever torrenting something and a really wird client came up in your peer's list? That's it.
What is 2ch's dot hk/s?

>2ch's dot hk/s
2ch.hk is a Russian imageboard and /s/ is the software board

bump!

sure
i guess
whatever

You don't even need to fork the browser for that. Even Internet Explorer supports custom user agent string in developer options.

Nah, tripfaggots is the most cancer this board can handle, having users posting with fake useragent strings will just incite more flamewars and fanboy threads

>there are people on Sup Forums RIGHT NOW who don't randomize their UA

>Randomizing
>Not using the most common one
Looks like you don't care about privacy at all.

>using the most common one
>not randomizing
Looks like you don't care about privacy at all.

every thread would be derailed to become about OS. Every insult would be about each user's OS. Just like Sup Forums-cancer.

panopticlick.eff.org/

>fork Firefox for a custom user agent

The fact that you actually posted that link think it's provides for a good refutation or is even relevant tells me exactly how retarded you are.

The fact that you actually posted just ad hominem instead of providing a counter argument or any sort of proof tells me exactly how retarded you are.

You realize that by randomizing your user agent you make your fingerprint more unique thus easier to track?

Holy shit if you don't know how any of this works you need to shut the fuck up and stop embarrassing yourself.

>ad hominem
Are you just spewing terms while having no idea what they really mean now?

>Holy shit if you don't know how any of this works you need to shut the fuck up and stop embarrassing yourself.
>Are you just spewing terms while having no idea what they really mean now?
Oh the fucking irony

He is right tho

You clearly have no idea how UAs actually work. It's like you read EFF's stupid web test for 10 seconds and think you can into computers now. Lurk more on Sup Forums and stop shitposting. And samefagging.

I support this. Sup Forums and shills need to be exposed.

>there are people who don't want privacy and think its cool to not have privacy

famlangs should kill themselves, just saiyan

This is your third post without any sort of proof or explanation about how you're right, instead, you have just insulted and telling others that they are wrong.
GG egocentric elitist user.

posting a thumbnail

>This is your third post without any sort of proof or explanation about how you're right
Nice try (and right back at you), but I'm not going to spoonfeed you. Next time think a little before you make a statement as retarded as "randomizing your user agent you make your fingerprint more unique thus easier to track" please.

but he's right, the best strategy is to use a list of the common user agents and randomising which one shows, if you straight up have a random string as your user agent you're standing out of the crowd.

>not hiding in plainsight
jesus dude

It would be funny for a while but people will get tired of the thread derail

>the best strategy is to use a list of the common user agents
But that's literally exactly what I do. Take the top 1/4 of the list of UAs from the page given in umatrix and pick a random one every 5 minutes. What did you think, I make my random strings "i luv cheezeburger lul" and "dick nipples :--DDD" or something?

read your goddamn sentence then, you fucking fig newton.
If you don't specify it does sound like you literally use a random string.

nice double post to you retard.

You know, sometimes it pays to have a bit of goddamned common sense. When I use the term UA I do in fact mean actual valid user agents.

I would like it. It would weed out a lot of shitposters, underage kids from Sup Forums, shills and retards.

I like it, hiroshima nagasaki likes to try new shit

>I was only pretending to be retarded!

Greentexting yourself?

2 good boy points for not using "who are you quoting". Good job.

You can stop renewing IPs faggot

Are you retarded or something? it's like the second question in Tor FAQs and even the Tor project team says that using a common useragent is safer than an unique randomized one. Seriously, are you low-functioning autistic or just a NSA shill?

>Are you retarded or something?
No but you might be considering you can't even finish reading this thread

>Yes! You have strong protection against Web tracking, though your software isn’t checking for Do Not Track policies.

>Is your browser blocking tracking ads? yes
>Is your browser blocking invisible trackers? yes
>Is your browser accepting Do Not Track commitments? no
>Does your browser protect from fingerprinting? no

>Your browser fingerprint appears to be unique among the 134,440 tested so far.
>Currently, we estimate that your browser has a fingerprint that conveys at least 17.04 bits of identifying information.

im a snowflaek

>wouldn't it be cool if each post displayed the os and browser it was posted from?

It would be cool because then we could filter posts based on these criteria.

We'd also know once and for all who's doing all the os/browser related shitposting.
