Windows: > Need to edit fucking text? Buy Office for only $99999,00/year > Want to edit audio? Buy from third party companies! > Need to edit a video? Well use Movie Maker or buy something else! > Paid updates (inb4 windows 10 is free, it wont be soon)
OS X: > iWork is free > Garageband is free (pic related) > iMovie is free > Free OS updates for life
You do know that you can literally get better apps than the Apple ones for free? Just YouTube search, "How to get Adobe Photoshop CC for Free". If you can follow along, it should be quite easy!
Robert Nguyen
I gotta say, Apple OS X native programs are pretty decent. Except for safari.
Bentley Butler
>Apple's programs are actually free >b-b-but I can pirate programs that cost money for free Dumbass
John Cox
Well, it better fucking be free given their computers are expensive monitors with $300 trash PCs
Nathan Foster
>Apple only makes iMacs
Christopher Bailey
They're both close sourced software, and they cost you nothing. Quite literally the same outcome. You put in the work on Windows. Or you get it easy on a Mac because you spent an extra $500 on it because it's a darn Mac.
Ayden Clark
Need to edit fucking text? Open notepad or wordpad or download notepad++ or whatver you want > Want to edit audio? Download things left and right for whatever fits your needs > Need to edit a video? Download things left and right for whatever fits your needs > Paid updates WU has never put up an update that cost more than $0.000000000000000001 ever.
OS X: > iWork is free > Garageband is free (pic related) > iMovie is free > Free OS updates for life >Cool, then show me a nice place to order OS X for less than $80-120 which windows cost.
Connor Collins
>this $20000 car is shit because you can steal a Ferrari for FREE
Juan Watson
I like Windows too, but making Kappa arguments just makes you look dumb. Nothing you said means anything of value to anybody who can think. Sorry!
Carson Smith
>The mental limit of an apple user makes him believe others are stupid because they don't think like he does.
You still haven't posted a site that sells OSX for less than $120.
Noah Harris
EW Logic Pro >not pro tools >not ableton live >not bitwig >not reason 9 I'm gonna puke
David Smith
You can obtain OS X in the App Store for free.
Kevin Williams
You're pushing the boundaries of retardation.
Colton Ortiz
Edit Text: LibreOffice (Other free software available) Edit Audio: Audacity (Other free software available) Edit Video: Shortcut or Lightworks (Other free software available) Paid Updates: (Like every three years, suck it up)
OS X: Free updates yes but your hardware will not be supported and cost an arm and a leg to buy. Your included editing software is shit anyway, and iWorks is trash.
James Perez
Sure thing kiddo
Daniel Butler
You guys are some fucking pussies lol!
Jonathan Morris
Shotcut I mean.
Isaac Cooper
Wew lad when did you go off the deep end?
Chase Fisher
>LibreOffice >Audacity >Shortcut >Lightworks Funny how these are all fucking garbage lmao
Connor Martin
> LibreOffice That's trash.
Luis Ward
Can download pirated and cracked stuff with ease and don't have to pay $1000 for the so called features
Cooper Barnes
IT'S CALLED 'DOWNLOAD FREE SOFTWARE USING A TORRENT CLIENT'.

Hunter Garcia

Jason Johnson
>>Cool, then show me a nice place to order OS X for less than $80-120 which windows cost. App Store. You can get a license for 0 dollars.
Luke Smith
Finder is shit. It's my biggest complaint about OS X. How do you fuck up a file manager that bad?
Jaxon Campbell
Then post it so I can use that fre version to install on my non-apple hardware.
Jeremiah Campbell
>Buy Office for only $99999,00/year I didn't know office charged on an annual basis
>Dumbass Not an argument
Lincoln Lewis
BTW, your analogues are shit and stretch reason until you can't apply them here.
AppleFags, lick my Cheeto dust. YOU PACK OF APPLES ARE GIVING ME FUCKING CANCER.
Justin Thomas
>Then post it I don't think you understand how software licenses work.
Carson Rogers
I listen to this really often, but never seen the arguments.
> non-apple hardware kek, what are you, poor?
Jayden Johnson
But if I can steal and get away with it I would in fact go with the Ferrari any day?
Kevin Adams
Garageband is not studio grade software. Logic pro x is and costs money
Charles Flores
oi vey! your shekels were deposited in your bank account.
David Jones
audio engineer here: logic is fine
Gavin Sanders
>Garageband is not studio grade software. Neither is Windows Media Player or Sound Recorder, if Windows even comes with those these days.
Joshua Barnes
Neither of those are for creating music
Matthew Kelly
Yeah but still pretty great software, it's basically Logic Mini.
Jason Martinez
> (OP) >>Buy Office for only $99999,00/year >I didn't know office charged on an annual basis Yup, it is the standard method now. Although it's not $99999,00/year. Welcome to the realm of ubiquitous subscriptions.
Logan Martinez
And they're still the best music software bundled with Windows.
Chase Wood
I wish...
Adrian Howard
Im not saying its bad im just saying u wont see it in a recording studio
Jackson James
Nobody uses Windows because of the built in software, that's an Apple fanboy way of thinking that stems from their delusions that Apple makes good products, therefore you shouldn't look further than what Apple gave you. For Windows there's a huuuge vast library of compatible programs you could run for absolutely anything you need.
Justin Martinez
Sound recorder isnt music software
Carson Johnson
Can't sort with folders always on top Can't cut and paste Can't create a new file with right click Changing default settings nearly impossible No snap to grid in icon view? Incredibly difficult to get around folders outside of your home directory. Many others I can't remember off the top of my head because the terminal is easier than using finder. Maybe if you haven't used windows explorer or any Linux file manager finder might seem ok, but otherwise it's a crappy, unintuitive mess that you can't even replace because it's too integrated.
Liam Green
>Can't create a new file with right click Make a service. >Changing default settings nearly impossible What? >No snap to grid in icon view? What? >Incredibly difficult to get around folders outside of your home directory. What?
Ayden Harris
But i cant get a Mac computer for free, which is required to run OSX
Henry Cook
>>Can't create a new file with right click >Make a service.
Samuel Howard
Dev here:
Want to code for Apple Store: >code for iOS >code for OS X >code for Watch OS >code for TV OS >nothing is shared
Want to code for Windows Store: >UWP
What was once good on Windows and shit with Apple, is now shit on Windows and good on Apple and vice versa.
It's a mad mad world.
Adrian Mitchell
Give it back, Jamal.
Andrew Jenkins
what are you, poor?
Caleb Gray
>Can't cut and paste Cmd+C, Cmd+Opt+V
Andrew Kelly
>what are you, poor? No, but claiming OSX if free is false, since its required to own specific hardware in order for you to get it for free.
Levi Wilson
How do I install Windows on my MIPS hardware? Oh that's right, you need specific hardware to run that as well.
Apple is indeed doing great job, allowing their customers to get basic stuff like office package absolutely free of charge. MS are just being greedy fucks.
Kevin Young
Or you can go to kat.cr and get everything for free lmao
Ayden Cook
I don't see The Spectacular Now starring Miles Teller, just the ebook
Landon Moore
I never claimed Windows was free, or did not require specific hardware
Thomas Anderson
Then what's your argument? Windows was just an example, every operating system requires specific hardware to run.
Christopher Thomas
...
Cameron King
>every operating system requires specific hardware to run. Not Linux :^)
Lincoln Bell
Even Linux doesn't run on everything.
Levi Brown
So Apple users are poor? Thanks for confirming.
Leo Stewart
microsoft can't offer good software built into windows because they get hit with antitrust lawsuits from other companies who claim that microsoft are forcing them out of the market
that's why you get wordpad instead of bundled word, why windows media player is shit, and why there were versions of windows 7 that came without several bits of software, or that weird browserchoices thing a few years back
funnily enough, it's the same deal with apple, which is why iwork, garageband and imovie have barely any features
Kevin Thomas
' i deserve free things so i can make it big as a rapper ' -- OP

krita is a fucking excellent drawing program, but it's not comparable to photoshop, which is more image editing\manipulation.
photoshop's closest GNU competitor would be the gimp, whereas krita is more comparable to artrage
Dylan Thomas
Logic Pro X Is one of the best DAWs.
Gavin Richardson
His argument was that VERY specific hardware is required for OS X to run. While nearly every x86 computer can run Windows straight out of the box, you can't even INSTALL OS X on a normal computer without getting a "Hackintosh" which is only supported on very specific computers.
Connor Anderson
I fail to see the issue. Apple makes their OS for their hardware, why the fuck would they make their OS available to competitors?
Matthew Adams
that's not FL studio
Dominic Collins
You're a goddamned moron
Kevin Murphy
FL Studio is good for MIDI, I'll give you that. For live audio no-one would ever take it seriously.
Angel Peterson
ITT: OS X babbies fighting winblows babbies
how cute
Gavin Robinson
And yet tell all get more users/downloads in any of the app stores
UWP biggest failure since WP
Evan Hernandez
Is that OS X's UI? I think I'll stick with Windows. thanks.
Carter Lewis
>literally toddler version of audacity with candy coated shiny icons and dedicated animated "profile picture" section to waste space in the UI for their toddler fanbase
lmao
Kayden Morris
including viruses right?
Christian Garcia

GNU/Linux: LibreOffice is free, if it's garbage you can modify it to not be garbage Audacity is free, if it's garbage you can modify it to not be garbage Kdenlive is free, if it's garbage you can modify it to not be garbage >Can literally try to apply whatever to your OS
Isaiah Butler
I laugh every time I use the prefix "i" used. What a stupid name lol
Zachary Cox

Close, titwank was the actual answer.
Luke Bailey
And then there's Linux...
