But it looks like absolute shit. Their 700 and 900 series coolers were worlds better.

Looks like fucking ass and that one doesn't even feature the other 8 pin power connector.

Holy fuck, and I thought the reference cooler was edgy, does it also ship with a pack of razor blades or what?

You haven't even seen the best part yet.

It's like da club is inside my PC!

It looks better than any of the other partners.
The FTW has 2x 8 pins.

COOLER TO THE COOLER THRONE
POWER TO THE POWER GOD

>It looks better than any of the other partners

No it doesn't. It looks like gaymer trash. I'm all for shilling EVGA because their warranty and customer support are great, but this card looks like fucking shit. Zotac's and KFA2's are my favourites so far.

looks like a glowing dildo
fuck that shit

When would anyone buy Zotac? It's so cheap and poorly made.

Waiting for Palit to bring the SJS.

it's Havel the Rock

Like you've ever owned a Zotac card, brand whore. Their 980 Ti was one of the best overclockers around and they offer a five year warranty, which is two to three years more than most other companies offer. They sure wouldn't be backing it up with that if they thought their cards were cheap shit destined to fail after a couple of years.

It's listed on OCUK, as is the Gainward Phoenix, which is by the same company. The SJS 1080 seems to be just a grey version of the same cooler based on the low res OCUK pic.

I need 2 Havel rings for this one.

>EVGA
>1x8-pin
They lost.

The SJS for comparison.

I had Palit's 980 Ti and it was fucking great. Quietest card I've ever owned. Waiting for the reviews to see what 1080 I might buy, but they're a contender.

No, they just realise that they can squeeze more money out people by making them pay for the FTW/Classified/Kingpin editions if they want better power delivery.

I hope you know Palit and Gainward are the worst companies when it comes to warranty. It's OK to buy used without, but new I would go EVGA or Gigabyte.

Best option is a custom water block. If you buy a 1080 then you should can afford a loop.
>Extreme cool and quiet
>Extreme good looking

Sheeeiiiiiiit, now that's what a GPU is supposed to look like.

>Thinking more power = better power delivery

Le crap

It's already been clearly demonstrated that the 1080 has major power throttling issues once overclocked with a single 8-pin power connector.

Keep on herping and derping with your meme arrows though, spaz.

>quiet
>what is pump noise

>mfw my pursuit of smallness means a lot of these non-reference 1080s won't fit in my case

Why is it so hard to keep the height within PCIE spec?

But he's right you moron. The FTW has both an extra connector and uses a 10+2 phase VRM system, versus the 5+1 used on the SC. All of this should result in much better power delivery and better overclocking over the throttling single 8-pin design.

Are you aware you can bios mod ALL nvidia cards and increase the power limit, right?

you only need a hex editor to do it and to flash the bios you need the nvflash utlity which nvidia releases to each vendor and they put in their website so you can update the bios by yourself.

So EVGA won? Should I order 5 right away? Is there anyone else to wait for?

inb4 people call zotac cheap, and crap. im happy with my zotac 970 peforms well, but ill still use zotac when i upgrade to a 1080..

Or I can spend £20 more, buy a better-built card and not need to fuck around flashing my BIOS and running extra power through circuitry built as cheaply as possible on the low end model.

Zotac is not bad, atleast the 750Ti i got from them is really good.

>got cucked by the 970
>still going to buy nvidia
what is wrong with you

the 970 i got from them is decent also, constant 60 fps 1080p for 2 years

get the FTW when it's released in a couple weeks or wait for the hybrid?

Waiting for Jiggabyte

>get cucked by Bulldozer architecture
>still going to buy AMD
I can do that too, and it doesn't sound any less stupid.

we are talking about gpus dumbass

kill yourself

It rather just not be a cuck like you

Hit a nerve fanboy?
He is actually right. Get cucked.

Yeah fuck that shit. I mean a couple LEDs are gonna cause me some issues and no way would I ever put such a piece of crap in a pc and use it..right man?

Fucking REEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE kids..I am glad they did this just to fuck with you faggots.

it's ironic that video cards look like fucking space ships now and yet they'll only make you stay in your basement even more.

>got cucked for getting a 970
newfag here please explain

>being this much of a defensive amd fanboy

amd is crap lol

>giving a shit about the look

jesus kill yourself

kek

I only go to my basement door VR and to do laundry

For vr*

Who the fuck designed this shit, Autozone?

youtube.com/watch?v=22ePLtROm6I

shill time

>buying gaymer rice garbage and perpetuating its existence

You first, famalam. Do the world a favour.

underrated post

How come companies don't care about inverted ATX? Would be nice for an option to rotate the logo so it is facing upwards.

This. Just because inverted ATX is used by less than 0.00000000000000000000001% of all users, doesn't mean they should be neglected damn it!

AMD confirmed dead and bankrupt.

Nobody gives a shit, they'd rather have something fast and cool, not everyone shares your size fetish.

Eh, inverted is becoming more and more popular. And the ones that have a clear side panel are more likely to have an inverted then those that do not.

I find it funny that GPU manufacturers show off the side that no one ever sees.

I understand.
It's just frustrating, is all.
At least sink the 8pin in past the cooler or something.
As it is the only custom 1080 I can fit is the strix, maybe.

If the power connectors are sunk underneath the cooler you wouldn't be able to press on the clip to remove them, so they'd have to have a cutout in the cooler or something for you to be able to reach them. If the board is under them you wouldn't be able to grab them properly either. It doesn't sound like a good idea, at least if I'm understanding correctly.

It works fine, here's a picture of what I meant.
Asus strix 980.
