The traffic is monitored through the gayeway appliance. ALL traffic has to pass through it to come in or out.
Do you understand what a gateway appliance is?
The connection would be reported either via IP or FQDN. Either way, it would be reported.

If you fiddle, the UI becomes very parallel and continuous through out the OS.
