Suh Sup Forums, looking for a logical GPU upgrade for my rig, currently rocking an EVGA GTX 750Ti, want to keep it $200 or under if possible, with a little bit of leeway.

The new rx 480 is suposed to be around 200.
Its coming out later this month supposedly.

I would wait untill June 29th and we can confirm benchmarks of the rx 480.

Rx480 100%

Looks promising, although I do like my Nvidia cards. Think it'll be good enough to jump ship?

GTX480

Yes.

Dude brand loyalty is fucking stupid.
Even if you were to be brand loyald, fucking nvidia is not the one to be it to. They are kikes man.
But thats beside my point.
Yes, jump ships, a deal is a deal you dingus.

Well at $200 your best Nvidia option is gtx 960 or gtx 970/780 used. The rx480 will kick the shit out of the 960, will probably beat the 970 as well.

look for yourself
over here

While I agree brand loyalty is retarded, going with something you know is much safer and easier.

If you like nvidia then you don't know shit about nvidia or GPUs.

Exactly.
Nvidia is a company, not a family.
Trust reviews, not brands.

>implying it makes any fucking difference

If you cannot wait to see what Nvidia releases for your price point you might as well get a 480.

>If you like nvidia then you don't know shit about nvidia or GPUs.

You only need to know that AMD has no drivers.

that's a small card

lol
who is this faggot?

>Need a GPU around $200
>Considering old and deprecated 750Ti instead of 480

Brand loyalty or not, but this is beyond retarded.

he's saying that he currently has a 750ti you fucktard, learn to read

aaaand thread going to shit in 3, 2, 1

Under $200 you could get an r9 280x

> 愛してるさわこ
>I love Sawako
shit-tier waifu confirmed

those digits proof you shall stay with nvidia

If you're sticking with Nvidia why did you even bother to ask? Just get an Nvidia for $200

this, why even ask if you refuse to get anything different

Brand loyalty is idiotic either way but just wait for reviews to get out and make up your mind. This might be one of the rare situations where waiting for something might be a good idea.

For $200 you can either get a gimped, last-gen Nvidia card or a blazing fast, up to date AMD card with all the latest technologies.

RX 480 later this month

the 480 is coming out in a few weeks and will be much better than a 280x

FYI the GTX 950 is like 120-140

How long after a new GPU releases do places like newegg (I know it sucks) start selling prebuilt PCs with the newly released GPUs?

Not going to buy one, but curious, gathering some info from different sites and have never really noticed how long it takes them to start selling PCs with new tech.

Would a rx 480 be able to game at 1440P reliably?

best buy already has some prebuilts with 1070's on their site, so pretty much on release day I guess

if it is as powerful as a fury or 390x then yes

>best buy selling prebuilt new tech before newegg and memeware

Literally what has happened.

The (AMD) 480 is going to be the most powerful $200 card when it comes out. (Later this month).
Worth waiting for.

Except it won't. Try a few months.

Wait for GTX 1060/GTX 1050

>being this retarded

>waitfaging for low end nvidia cards
>low end nvidia cards
is this some sort of joke

quality mate, after all that post was related to nvidia. good luck finding a (possible) new price to performance killer gpu available in the first month... or two when the board partner versions come out. now remove yourself from Sup Forums.

Unlike Nvidia, AMD actually planned ahead and built up a decent stock of their new cards before release.

>nvidia shill telling others to leave Sup Forums
wew lad

let's see it

yup a shill, that's me

>let's see it
We will.

You two are going to keep me entertained for weeks when it doesn't come out by the end of the month.

>Suh

Hey Sup Forums
I've been thinking upgrading from my 295x2 to a Rx 480 crossfire setup when benchmarks are confirmed
Pros
>way less power consumption
>way less heat
>looks to be a bit of an upgrade from 290x crossfire performance to a little below fury crossfire
>8gb instead of 4gb
Cons
>4 slots instead of 2, 1 with watercooling
>295x2 is king of price to performance for now, killer card and basically a bad mother fucker
>would have to deal with selling all my shit
Honestly I'm thinking I'll switch. There's enough room in my case and all I just like having the single card look more I guess. Any reasons not to switch to this Jesus card of price/performance?
