I have a Samsung Galaxy S4 smartphone and a Galaxy Tab 4. Can Cyanogenmod be installed onto either? Apparently the Verizon version of the S4 will just get bricked if I try, so I've been advised to not mess with it.
what's the best top of the line android phone out right now? dunno if I should get the htc 10 or the galaxy s7. leaning towards the htc 10 because my carrier's version of the s7 is impossible to root and that's pretty important for me...
I've heard their hardware is pretty much the same. Is there another phone that's more powerful that I should look into?
I have 16GB of ram. Should I disable the pagefile?
Should I try to get the GTX 1070 or hold on to see the 480?
Also, very important, today only..
Should I buy the 6600k for 215, or the 6700k for 315? I woke up and started shitting bricks when I checked the prices.
This picture is the most retarted, edgy thing I've seen today. Seems like it was directly taken off a Facebook meme site.

Seeing as Webp encoding has a range of compression methods, have any cameras or camera apps adopted the use of Webp?
I did a PNG to Webp conversion with the parameters -q 90 -m 0 and it took less than a second, that was on my intel celeron laptop.
Also does the fact that Webp uses 4:2:0 chroma subsampling really matter?
I heard Daiz talking about it on Sup Forums that it made Webp a shit format but someone posted a Webp comparison and Webp clearly looked better than JPG at the same file sizes.
>Daiz
>believing his lies
>any cameras or camera apps adopted the use of Webp?
No, but there are converters.
real retard coming thru.
how do i change the color of the text and background in bash?
also i'm on osx if that matters...
Is there a FLOSS application similar to PushBullet?
I don't mind setting a local server.
>>Daiz
>>believing his lies
Seems like a pretty knowledgeable dude but I guess he over exaggerates the chroma subsampling thing with Webp. That or I have a really shitty monitor.
>No, but there are converters.
Cool. Hope Webp support for cameras is introduced soon. I fucking hate the shitstain artifacts JPG produces.
Is my cpu running too hot? Its a q8200
I have overclocked it from 2.33ghz to 2.63ghz
It is running cinibench cpu test
temps?
O shit. 46°c @ 100% cpu utilised
Good enough.
I got fibre and the internet is pretty fast, but only when close to the router. I'm using EOP powerline adapters, and only get about 10 up 10 down. I'm in an extension which has a separate power circuit/fusebox, which I think is the reason for the shit speeds.
Is the only way to get better speeds to use an ethernet cable, or is there a way to get faster speeds by somehow skipping the join between the two different power circuits? I know nothing about circuits.
I do have a spare router and a spare powerline adapter.
i'm not too versed on older cpus, but i'd safe up to 60 celsius is all good.
Are there ways to stream video files from MEGA?
I'm using a noctua nh-d14 with no case exauhst.
And arctic silver 5 applied in pea method. There is a front intake fan l (120mm) and the cpu coolers fans no other fans in case (corsair 200r)
I don't suppose anyone has any explanation for random freezes which usually happen when I'm torrenting approximately above 2MB/s on my Linux laptop?
HDD specs?
whats the program to stop the windows 10 background spying
Just delete system 32. That will do it no other software needed
>whats the program to stop the windows 10 background spying
RAT
too weak of a cpu?
Anyone got any good prep materials for a behavioral interview? I sperged out during my last one, don't want to repeat that.
Dubs confirm.
If you want to game go for 6600k, if you're going to be doing 3d modeling etc. go for 6700k.
Get the 1070 when it comes out, a lot of games are rigged to support nvidia better than amd, gameworks for example, load of garbage.
gentoo
You sure are 20
GNU/Linux
Iirc there was one model - probably Verizon - that had a locked bootloader or something. XDA forums for your exact device will give you a definitive answer.
I am on a GS6 but have heard very good things about certain Nexus models. If it were me I would go for a chink phone but that is certainly not top of the line. Check the /spg/ - I haven't posted there so beware of possible cancer.
If possible it is worth the effort to run cables to a wall jack. I just heard about EOP yesterday but it sounds like your wiring is probably the problem. There should be a way to troubleshoot.
My retarded question: are there any other ways of communicating with a cell phone other than cell modem or bluetooth? I am trying to build a passive decentralized messaging network without using the internet. If phones had IR receivers I would be using IR. If anyone used BT I would use that but to be passive the front end app cant be sucking battery power. Any other options? Pure desperation is what is keeping me from accepting the facts.
You can look into Piratebox, last time I heard they were working on BA.T.M.A.N. mesh work thing, to decentralize everything.
Kingston RBU-SC1. SSD.
Temperatures are like max 60 degrees Celsius. Hardly much load.
Torrent client?What are you downloading?
qBittorrent. Doesn't matter what I download, whenever I do it appears to coincide with random freezes.
>Torrenting on SSD
>clean install W7
>turn off updates right in the installation menu
>make sure they're turned off when W7 is installed again
>never notify me about updates/never install them basically
>yesterday
>"windows is going to update after restart"
>what
>windows update turned itself back on
>turn it back off
>turn computer off for the night, go to bed
>wake up to "INSTALLING UPDATES"
>pic related
>look at windows update, it's still turned off but the "checking for updates" page now never finishes
what in the fuck windows do you want me to get W10 that bad jesus christ
What the hell is this, tried googling it and I only get people with the same problem but no legitimate answers.
I googled it for you, the update is included on the iso of your cracked version of windows.
Nothing wrong with this. Modern SSDs have to go through 3-6K write cycles and have advance wear leveling algorithms. You should be able to get at least ~384TB of writes from a cheap 128GB MLC NAND SSD before it starts to fail for example.
Hi, gtx960 wont fit into the case. It fits into the mobo and is compatible with everything, it's just this meh case (cit spectre). Someone on the last thread suggested I take out the 'drive bay' on the left so it will fit, but I don't know if that's possible. I probably don't have the tools either. I saw a comment on Youtube with the same case and card and it fit for them, PC Part Picker also didn't list any incompatibilities. This is my first build and I'm stupid. What do??
But I installed W7 from my W7 disc.
Take a better picture
Wait, are you trying to install it with the expansion slot covers still on?
Just looked in the windows update "see installed updates" part
The top one was apparently what it wanted to do since yesterday, and finished this morning.
C++ question. How do I return a 2D array of variable size from a function? Pseudocode:
int * arrayGenerator ()
{
// Generate 2D array of variable size
int * output;
output = new int [rand() % 10][rand() % 10];
// Fill array with some numbers
for (auto A : output)
for (auto B : A)
B = (rand() % 10);
// Return array
return output;
}
int main ()
{
int myArray[][] = arrayGenerator();
/* ... Do stuff with array here ... */
return 0;
}
Um.. Probably? The manual didn't say anything about that so I assumed I put the whole thing in straight out the box...what's the expansion slot cover?
Are you supposed to create a makefile for every /usr/lib/oss/modules object file then make to install, or are there .ko files already somewhere I don't know?
How do I fix this sound issue, it's driving me crazy.
Using X201, Arch. Speakers work for a while and then they just stop working. If I close the laptop lid and open it back again right after, it starts working again or a bit but then it stops again. Also, while the speakers don't work, the beep sound still works.
Pls advice
Is there a site where I can see when the hardware parts start bottlenecking with eachother in gaming?
More specifically, I want to know, what is the very minimum of CPUs, if I want a GTX 1080 for 1440p gaming.
This thing
You're supposed to take it out before installing a card in that slot
Feel free to take a moment to appreciate how stupid you are
Fuck, I am. Every video I watched with this case (and the cit spectre has no manual) didn't go over that and I thought I should leave it alone and ask. Didn't know you were meant to snap them off, I've scratched the paint pretty badly. Thank you so much, I thought I missed something stupidly simple!
wtf is "the standard path"
Question about MEGA:
I have the free plan with 50GB and another person is sharing one of his folders with me. He recently subscribed for the 200GB plan.
If he puts more than 50GB in the folder he's sharing with me, will I be able to sync it all or will it be counted over the 50GB I have and not sync completely?
No way someone made that mistake!
Toasting in legendary bread.
Logical increments and PC Part picker has not updated their sites to the current release of graphics cards, so it is a bit hard to make a list of parts with that in mind. I really want to get the 480x as a gentle start for my first build anyways.
Anyone know when they will update? Maybe upon launch of the GPU's?
I want to start learn programming languages. Is C++ the easiest to start with?
Well if the worst you end up with is a bit of scratched paint its still a successful first build and a learning experience.
Not to mention he posted this question yesterday too >55002545 but you couldn't see that the covers were still in place
Whoops, proper link
Yamaha HS5 or JBL 305??
Should I have more than 16GB ram? Would it be cost efficient?
Do you need more than 16GB of ram? If yes then yes, if no then no.
C++ is alright, but not what a novice should be learning, it has a munch of OOP shit you're not going to need soon
learn C, it teaches you how the computer works indirectly
I can't remember every making that mistake either. It takes you three seconds to see that "huh, all the ports will be inaccessible, am I supposed to remove something here?".
I use my PC primarily for gaming and Photoshop, so I'm not really sure whether my 16GB would be enough.
Are you running into RAM limits with your current workload with what I'm assuming is 8GB?
Does anyone know a twitch bot that i can place in a live stream and which will write something every 20 secounds or so?
Looking into this because there are some streams that give away codes but you need to be "active" in there.
Which is the best/less worse torrent client for windows?
Where can I find a good guide on building a gaming PC?
>best
rtorrent on a remote server
>less worse
qbittorrent
deluge
transmission
tixati (beware: closed source)
context?
the default path is usually the folder a program is installed to, the documents folder (windows), the home folder (linux) or the desktop (linux and windows).
That was fast. Thanks!
just get a 6600k and call it a day.

for assembly, just look up some videos on youtube. there are thousands of videos explaining how to do it and it's also not that difficult if you read the manual. it's like lego
Sup Sup Forums i want to buy a 4k TV now that they have disscount maybe to game and watch movies and muh animu, is it worth it? almost everything is on 1080p
SanDisk Ultra II 960GB
I'm seeing mixed things about it.
Ok one hand it has a gazillion good reviews on amazon, and benches fine.
Ok the urge hand there's a guy who had 4 of them and they all failed within 6 months.
Is he unlucky and the drive is pretty alright, or am I fucked?
Think about why he had 4 of them and what he used them for. Something tells me he had it coming.
Where do you guys download windows from?
Also whats the best activator for WinXP?
My thinkpad X220 has a dead keyboard
is there any jumper on the mobo that I can trigger so it can boot? I've looked and followed schematics about shorting the powerbutton with ground on the keyboard connector, but it doesn't work, surely due to the fact that I'm a retard.
thank you
Thanks for making me go back and read the guy's whole post, I got spiked and looked around for confirmation before finishing it the first time.
read:foliographic.com
Turns out they were extreme IIs and his PSU was garbage.
I feel a lot better about the ~20 "my drive is kill" reviews ok amazon out of the 1800 total it has there.
Is windows xp black edition a safe thing?
Got spooked*
How long to non-refrence GPUs usualy take to release? I want to replace my HD5970 with a 1080 but hear the founders edition has overheating problems.
What's going on here in my chrome? They appeared after a crash.
They're already out, but they're sold out.
have your video drivers crashed?
Why is everything listed as pre-order then? Only refrence and founders versions are for sale.
Entire PC crashed
Stop running a theme and windows 7.
Newegg and amazon have several
All the ones on newegg are sold out, all the ones available on amazon have a massive markup
no
Just hooked some old Christmas lights to an old stereo amp and about to play some music.
What should I expect?
Apparently it was the theme fucking up, thanks.
nothing to happen
int ** foo
What the fuck is this? I know int * foo declares a pointer to an integer, but what do two asterisks mean?
(I wrote some code late last night after browsing through dozens of stackexchange pages and no longer understand what the code means. In fact I probably never did)
Did the same thing to the headlights from an old rc toy I had and it strobed to the beat. Had to crank it high though.
its just a pointer to a pointer.
you can also have a pointer to a pointer to a pointer denoted by int ***foo or a pointer to a pointer to a pointer to a pointer and so on and so forth.
Would having a 6700k really improve video editing that much over a 6600k?
How much time am I saving with this? Saying I just put together a bunch of clips and mess around to make a 10 minute video, it can't possibly take much longer on an i5 than an i7 right?
Yes.
