Just switched my build to a new case, never had any problems and it won't power up at all.
Tried shorting the power pins, tried a different power supply, tried unplugging components one by one until barebones.
Only thing I did out of the ordinary was use a dust can on everything before swapping it in. Any other common shit to check for before I kill myself?

I like my sister.

Do you like like your sister? Or just like your sister?
Kayden Myers
Does your sister like guys who fuck up switching cases?
Luke Campbell
What case? Did you change your cooler or the way your fans are hooked up? The same thing happened to me when I switched cases, I hooked my fans up to a PWM hub, but I did it incorrectly and it wouldn't power up.

What should I do?

Yes, pull the mobo, put it on a non-conductive surface and try that. Might be the board is touching the case and getting shorted.
You used the risers, right? Also, install gentoo. Also, not your tech support, fgt.
Adam Cox
check everything is properly connected where it should be, then check again and see if any wire is loose
Jack Harris
just b urself ;)

Went from some ancient Cooler Master piece of shit to an NZXT S340.
It has one additional fan, but all just connected in the same fashion as previously + 1 (3pins).
Tried disconnecting all fans as well.

you fucked the front panel connections probably

Just to confirm, the minimum I would need to see action is the PSU connected to the MOBO and CPU? I tried dismantling it and running just that to no avail.
I also tried that with a alternate power supply.
That was my first thought but I've even tried some blatantly wrong configurations on there after checking over and over.
Sebastian Wood
You put it in the wrong case.
Henry Lopez
You have displeased the machine spirit. Please report to magos bill gates for robotization.
Jace Diaz
CPU fan should be connected, too. Also, seriously, pull the mobo out the case and put it on a clean, flat, non-conductive surface to make sure nothing in your case is touching it wrong and causing a short.

Make sure your front header shit is plugged in correctly

YOOOOOOOOOOOOOO
IS IT PLUGGED IN?
IS THE SWITCH THING ON THE PSU IN THE """ON""" POSITION?
Easton King
ill try again in the morning, im just depressed now
Aaron Gonzalez
If you got a separate computer test each component.
The power on pins on the mobo might not short easily. I would try again, if possible use a known working switch.
Got a PSU tester? Test it out.
Honestly it probably either a short or a loose connection.
Blake Stewart
Could just be a faulty power switch... not the one on the psu but on the case if it don't power on
also.. pics or gtfo

I decided to chug a beer and get back at er.
So here's what I think happened.
I had a 6+2 PCIE in my PSU, but the +2 part was broken and causing the whole thing to fail.
The +2 part wasn't necessary so I just unplugged it and tested everything piece by piece.
I think in my previous case I had just inserted it so poorly the +2 never connected properly and I didn't know.
