i'm still on core2 quad (Q6600)

If you're short on money you'd get an i3 6100.

As long as the i5 is a quad core then get that. It is more than enough.

what happened to her left eye ?

i5 6400 non k. or some oldie 5820k

>recommending a 2.7ghz i5 over a 3.7ghz i3

Yes op, buy the quad core, it's 10% faster in a perfectly multithreaded application. Like rendering.

its her right eye
but the question is here, why is she still dressed up?

>i'm still on core2 quad (Q6600)
Then just get the i5 dummy. You'll only be missing out on Hyperthreading.

any i3 is a waste of money. poorfags should get a celeron g3900 or pentium g4500 and overclock the shit out of it with bclk.
the i5-6500 is the best overall pick. if you need ht but dont need the igpu get the e3-1230v5 and a c232 mobo.

OP still on core 2 quad, some software with multithreaded will bog down that i3. Even some gaymes run better on 4 than 2

>dual core
>2016

the right eye has a lateral rectus palsy. your eyes are controlled by muscles which work in balance with each other. if the muscle that pulls outwards or then nerve that is responisble for that muscle fucks up then the eye turns in.

It's not how this work, an i3 can beat an old quad core easily, Hyper Threading can cover the lack of cores.

Name one game that runs better on the i3.

You do realise that most games dump most the work on the first core. It's why AMD failed with their last line up despite having amazing multithread performance.

>i5 6400 trades blows with fx8350

>The Core i5’s performance with discrete GPUs was more mixed. In Battlefield 4 at Ultra settings the i5-6400 averaged 76.5fps, which is the same as the i3-6100 and even a little quicker than most older parts. In Bioshock the i5’s average of 153.1fps was a few frames behind the Core i3 part and in between older Core i5 chips.

Most game benchmarks have the 6100 and 6400 trading blows, or the 6100 edging out the 6400.

...

I have an "off-brand" Core i5 (3470).

No problems.

Name one game that runs better on the i5*

What motherboard would you recommend with a g4500 for overclocking?

>ignoring the facts

>short on money
>i5 6600k

q6600 is still a powerful machine.

you can overclock it to 3.0GHz by taping a pin with electrical tape hubpages.com/technology/Get-more-from-your-Quad-Core-Q6600

i only taped the bottom pin.

i use mine as a home media server.

If you want to play games, don't go for 2 threads like the pentium. The mobo will cost more than the cpu for the oc, some games will stutter, some games won't run at all

For general use like shitposting, the Pentium is already overkill. For video games or anything demanding you'd want an i3 6100 or i5 6500.

>if you're short on money, would you rather buy a cheaper processor or a more expensive one

Gee, I wonder.

Can BCLK overclocks still be done? i heard Jewtel locked it again with updates.

Probably, if you can find the bios for it.

Just get a i5 4460

Who is she?

Even a first gen i7 or i5 can beat this shit.

just grab any lga 1151 asrock board, no need to get an expensive board with a cheap cpu.
you dont need z170 to overclock bclk.

the best choice is getting an i5-6500 and a cheap board and overclocking it, especially if gaming as some games will not launch on computers with less than 4 cores

they forced vendors to not offer "boost performance by x%" options in the bios for cpus that are not unlocked. you can still do bclk overclocking by enabling it in the bios.

They won't launch with less than 4 threads. An i3 is still fine.

What's the cheapest board that'll let you oc? I need to upgrade from my i7 870 soon.

Rather suck a few dicks to get the money

6700k is on sale for $315

newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16819117559

If youre short on money you wait for zen

indexxx.com/models/116063/lilit-a/

It's photoshopped. The original picture has a nipple as well as more aligned eyes.

I have a c2d and upgrading to a 6700k is one of the best decisions I've made. Doesn't break a sweat against anything. Overclocks to 4.6ghz ez.

Or you can get an AMD proccessor for half the price and literally the same performance

If you're short on money, get a job or invest in yourself instead of a fleeting source of entertainment.

there are countless reasons why someone could be short on money and have a job at the same time.
the question was simple. you're not allowed to judge here faggot.

asrock z170a-x1

>i'm still on core2 quad (Q6600)
Not a bad CPU IMO.

>i'f you're short on money.
>124$

If that is such a big step for you i'd rather look for a job instead of thinking about any upgrades..

Yeah same performance as the Q6600

*twice the cores half the performance

Is AMD really that bad these days?
What happened? How si ti possible they cannto keep their shit together these days?

If you're short on money start moving your fat ass instead of playing childish games.

Nope, Piledriver chips have about 20% more IPC than E8400, which again have 10% more IPC than Q6600.

If you are short on money then wait until you have enough money. Don't compromise. If you get a weaker component because of that, you will regret it eventually.

>get an amd 9370 on sale for $190 canadian rupees
>water cool it
>put a fan on the VRM
>5ghz
>laugh at people attempting to defend $900+ processors
Sometimes its like you want to waste money, guys.

so why AMD is so anti-shilled on the internet and i dont see corporate PCs on AMDs, only intel in big companies?

Memes, mostly. Also having more money. A greased palm goes a hell of a long way establishing market dominance that simply doesn't go away. Intel is a household name that any normie can recognize.

>>go for the i5 6600K
>or spend a 124$ more for a i7 6700K

Neither. I'd go for an old Xeon. Even if you have to buy a new motherboard to go with it you will save a lot of money.

go to microcenter and get a CPU/mobo/ram combo for cheap. you'll probably spend the same on a 6700k there as a 6600k at newegg.

xeon 1231v3

best bang for your buck.

>you're not allowed to judge here

You're confused, you're actually looking for >>>/reddit/

If you're short on cash, don't adopt a cash-intensive hobby. Go get a pet rock or collect leaked celebrity nudes.

>vidya gaming
>cash intensive

kek, try car modding/collecting, those are cash intensive hobbies.

go used.

buy a 5280/5930k, mobo and ram for $600 USD

if youre short on money, you should find ways to make more money and not waste your money on an unneeded botnet cpu upgrade.

Also zen.

>i'f you're short on money.

then I'd get a decent APU. Decent midrange cpu, low-midrange gpu, all in one. What I save, I can spend on a nice SSD and get a killer fast machine that can do everyday tasks great, also good for work, and can run some games.

my man, I saw the sale yesterday and went for the 6600k.

How dumb am I for not going 6700k?

>cpu.userbenchmark.com/Compare/Intel-Core-i7-6700K-vs-Intel-Core-i5-6600K/3502vs3503
If it's for gaming or shitposting, you weren't too dumb. But if you really work with something were you'd need the extra threads, then you're a faggot.

Great, I wasn't a faggot for once.
I was thinking the HT of i7 would kinda extend the longevity of the card since my first CPU, 3GHz P4 w/HT lasted awhile but it's downfall was being in a shit computer at the time.

>apu
>Vomits internally

Buy a used xeon on eBay for $20 bucks and get performance that rivals the i7 6700

Anyone explain to me the purpose of the k versions for regular gaming people? Especially the ones who upgrade the next generation anyway for the next big gimmick?
1fps increase for gaming?

by some games he must mean jewgrounds shit, kek.

Personally I'm gonna rock my iGPU till I decide on a real GPU/monitor combo.

its for overclockers you massive fucking faggot

Yeah I get that... holy shit
But why does everyone buy them?
>inb4 too overclock

but why? 1 extra frame a second? because "big numbers"? because bandwagon? because trying to prove how hardcore gamer?

"K" means that the CPU has an unlocked multiplier. In other words, that you can OC it.

for ex:

I got the i5 2500k and overclocked from 3.3ghz to 4.5ghz on a mild overclock. Literally STILL dont have a legimite reason to upgrade. I can assure you it was more than just "1 fps". Granted not every model is going to be like that, but yeah. I see your point though, because nowadays you can pretty much game at a high level with any model of desktop cpu.

fukin trolls

Just between me and you, it's my first build and I don't know what I'm doing but I'd like to 'overclock a little bit.' It just sounds fun. Originally I wanted to just get an 880k to OC but grabbed the i5 because it was priced good enough for me.

fixed

i like the original better

>short on money
>spending money to buy something over its needs
Buy some used i5 or i7 3xxx or 4xxx and be happy. The little difference in performance will not add anything really useful for you.

Shooped eye, nipple, only four fingers.

the colors are wrong also >PNG
